Those searching for a bitersweet romance need not look further than these two animes. Both feature amazing animation, a superb soundtrack, and characters that will make your heart melt. Both can easily be considered among the best romance anime of all time.

Both anime are great. The thing that i found similar in them is there r only girls and there relationships, no boys, no perents or any thing like that. only girls and there friendship.

While Black Lagoon and Kuroshitsuji look different on the surface, they are both excellent at bringing across the feeling of darkness, more specifically, darkness within humans. Both are crime-infested shows, that have one or more completely badass characters, and one or more that'll send a chill down your spine. The only real difference between the two, is that Black Lagoon has more realism to the fighters (they're all humans) and Kuroshitsuji has more realism to the setting it's placed in (Victorian England).

Both of these shows have tsundere leads, though it takes Yuri longer to soften. There's laughter along the way, adorable moments, and moments when it looks like everything will fall apart. Still no matter how hard Toradora! tries to convince you it's only funny or Angel Beats! that it's only serious, there's a gooey center in each of these shows that left me with a smile. :)

Toradora and After Story greatly share the theme of "growing up" in a sense. Clannad After Story goes with the more realistic approach though which highly suits it. Toradora has a more dramatic feel due to certain conflicts presented in the story line. Overall, Toradora's dramatic phazes can be enjoyed if you liked the drama in After Story; the idea works likewise.

Both of these shows feature a main guy character who is unhappy with his lot in life and misjudged by the world aroud him who decides to take care of a girl who seems to be his polar opposite. Although Taiga and Nagisa are very different characters, they both welcome the assistance of their male counterparts and become stronger because of their friendship with him. They are both slice of life style animes that show friends dealing with the problems of everyday life, and just enjoying high school. Both shows are incredible and should be watched by everyone.

Well, both anime are quite unique. It seems that authors didn't care about blood scenes at all. Let's face it Baccano is about killing in every possible way with as much pain as you can imagine and EL has so many dead bodies, blood, vilolence and even a dead innocent puppy (damn c*ck suckers !!) that comparing it with diffrent anime than Baccano is almost impossible. If you are into S&M and wanna learn how to kill slowly but extramely painfully try out these anime cuz they are as wicked as an anime can get. ( I didn't say any word that I didn't enjoy these series myself :) ).

Neon Genesis is quite close to Full Metal panic because of the fighting scenes and the main charcters being male nearly children. Sousuke and Shinji have some things in common too, both are very obidient and extremely good at what they are doing. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a lot more serious though while Full Metal Panic has much comedy in it.

Both the Air Movie and Clannad Movie have a very similar way of telling their adaption of the love-story, and present their drama in the same way. The colors, character design and animation are also strikingly similar in both cases. If for some reason you enjoyed one of these movies more than the original series, you'll definitely enjoy the other movie as well.

In both series, some young girls of various ages are trained and supervised by over graded members of an association for which they work for, in order to fight against a common ennemy. (Terrorists in Gunslinger Girl and Neuroi in Strike Witches.) In each of the series, the girls fight using overpowered abilities that they gained due either to their modified body (cyborg like...) in Gunslinger Girl or by using their magic power to operate "striker units" which it's the case in Strike Witches.

In Gunslinger Girl and Neon Genesis Evangelion the main characters are adolescent children fighting for some shady semi-government organizations. In both series it leads to all kind of mental problems and weird relationships. Also some plot elements and themes appear in both series. If you liked this title you most probably like the other. P.S. In both series the organizations are very twisted and do almost anything to achieve their goal. In my opinion the gals from Gunslinger Girl, for some reason, seem like a combination of the Eva pilots and Eva Units.

There are some semilarities, both main characters are gun experts, but in Gunslinger Girls the characters are a bit emotioneless, but still the girls still have some relations of friendship between each other, in both anime there's a lot gun action, in both they take in dirty work from the bigshots and before the main story a lot of the charcters had different lifes from the ones they have now.

The way both anime start off driven mainly by humour and go onto become emotionally charged is very similar. Both main characters help the female cast grow and develop. Clannad is better and deeper, especially when you include the afterstory. So if you liked Shuffle, I reckon you'll love Clannad. If you found Clannad too emotional, and didn't like the family elements of the show, want something which focuses more on romance, and like cartoon boobs, then Shuffle's definitely for you.

Air TV and Clannad undoubtedly have similar styles. These Kyoto Animation productions have extraordinary artwork. Both series begin quite nicely but there's more to them than meets the eye. In addition, there seems to be an overrepresentation of "Moe" factors; the casts of characters have comparable personalities (I'm not saying they're the same). The main characters are quite indifferent to life, while the main girl is clumsy and naive.

Both of these harem series are game conversions from 'Key', animated by 'KyoAni'. As such both series are very very pretty and extremely well-produced. Clannad and Kanon center around a male high school student (Yuichi in Kanon, Tomoya in Clannad). They are similar in personality: both are quite sarcastic and at times, obnoxious, towards the girls they are surrounded with. There is also a female in each that is the main love interest for the male (Ayu in Kanon, Nagisa in Clannad); they are similar in character design and influence on the male. The plots are also similar; each has a number of arcs related to the girls' stories and how they affect the males' lives. In short, both of these series are quite similar, and surely if you liked one you would like the other. If nothing else they are beautifully produced and a joy to watch.

Now, Clannad really gave me a hard emotional attack. And since I was a little younger back then, the impact on me was absolute. The ending really made up for all the downs in the story, plus the other two arcs which I really enjoyed. On the other hand, Angel Beats, having new and different types of emotional approach while still maintaining a good sense of originality, exists. The way its story goes indifferently gives quite a shock. Both have great drama as well as comedy. Good balance, plot, character settings, originality, and impression.
