I’ve been meaning to write a review for this for a while but, I just don’t know what to say. It’s hard to put into words because I have mixed feelings. Like I love it but there’s just a few things that are telling me it’s not perfect.
Bare in mind I have not read the manga nor have I watched the OVA, so everything was pretty much new to me.
This started of as a great romantic slice of life anime. You have what seems to be a unsmart/unnoticed boy (Miyamura) at school who actually is pretty cool outside of school and a pretty girl
...
(Hori) who is popular and smart at school, but also has a lot of responsibilities at home.
The two Meet via Hori’s younger brother and slowly get to know each other, and fall in love. The side characters are also very interesting each of them have their own unique personalities. Hori’s Father especially was very entertaining. I also love the chibi animation style during the funny parts.
I think what kind of threw me off towards the end was how abruptly everything was wrapped up. Like there were so many builds up that never got cleared.
For example the weird love triangle between Yuki, Ishikawa and Sakura. Like Sakura was crying and I mean balling out over the fact that she didn’t get a chance with him and then in the end she was like it doesn’t even matter anymore.
Also I enjoyed Iura and his sisters relationship story but that never finished properly either, she just ended up finding out that her brothers actually a loud mouth at school, like what happened to her grades? did she get into the school she wanted?
Then poor Yanagi, (the blind boy) who asked Yuki out, gets rejected and nobody cares except Yuki’s sister like what, if anything he was best boy, like the prettiest and the most straightforward. I don’t see the point of creating these situations if they are not getting resolved and left aside.
Besides all of that, I did enjoy watching this, it was so close to being one of my fav romantic anime’s until the last 2 episodes. I love the opening soundtrack too. The animation and character designs are colourful and great quality. I do recommend watching it because it is a great slice of life show, it’s just that I wish there was more to offer and a better resolution to the some of the stories. I may also read the manga in the future if there isn’t a second season.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a great show that revolves around cursed energy. The first episode was really jam packed and definitely sold the show to me. There are 24 episodes in total for S1 however the first half of the series definitely seemed to flow better story-wise, than the later half.
Itadori Yuji is a high school boy who’s grandfather recently passes away leaving him with the following final words, “you are a strong kid, help people whenever you can”. He comes across a cursed object which happens to be a finger of the king of curses, Sukuna. Not being able to control the cursed energy from
...
the item, his schoolmates are put in a life threatening situation.
The finger feeds off cursed spirits around it, so in order to help and thinking back to what his grandfather says, he eats the finger to gain power, but instead becomes somewhat of a host/vessel for Sukuna as he is able to control/switch out with the curse. Gojo a jujutsu sorcerer who is seeking the fingers tells Yuji that he can choose to be executed now or can be accept death later on after collecting all the fingers. Yuji agrees on the decision to be killed once all fingers are collected as he wants to fulfil his his grandfather’s last wish of helping others. From this he is recruited into Jujutsu High School.
The 3 first years Yuji who has just been recruited, Nobara, and Megumi are working their way to be able to refine their powers and techniques to exorcise curses, with Gojo as their teacher. This main group of people are very entertaining and personalities are extremely likeable. Other characters such as Nanamin, Toge, and Maki etc are introduced which also have very unique traits and abilities. (Thank you for making strong female characters!) For me personally Megumi stood out to me the most, I really like his cool yet fragile personality and as soon as he summoned those precious doggos, I was like that’s it, that’s my favourite boy right there.
Besides the curse living inside Itadori, Mahito is seen as the main antagonist for this part of the story. His manipulative tendencies, playing with human emotions and childish behaviour is what makes him a good villain I suppose. I kinda wish we saw more of Sukuna because he was pretty much the main focal point for the first part of the show and then later only appears for like a few seconds. There are other characters which aren’t properly introduced in the anime so I feel like anime only watchers maybe confused (I started to read the manga to get a better understanding).
The animation itself stands out very well, very high quality, literally crisp and clean, (Thank you Mappa!) even the opening and ending credits are unique and memorable which definitely deserves an applause. (I missed listening to KaiKai Kitan and Lost in Paradise in the second half T-T) I could go on an on but I don’t want to give away too much, this is something you definitely have to experience, so just go watch it please!
Overall I feel like this is a great anime for this generation, there’s a little bit of everything such as emotional scenes, fight scenes, fillers which helps relax the pacing, and funny moments especially the Juju Strolls at the end of each episode. It’s suitable for anyone to jump in and watch. I also heard that there will be a movie coming out too so can’t wait for that.

I’ve been planning on watching this for ages, but I kid you not,I binged this all in one day. (It’s only 11 episodes! also I watched this because Mamoru Miyano is one of the main voice actors and I love his voice so yh:P)
The millionare detective Kambe Daisuke is partnered up with Haru Katou both detectives are opposite to each other yet compliment each other so well. One believes everything can be fixed with money, the other thinking thoroughly and investigating true intentions behind the case.
At first the story was bit all over the place, I’m not going to lie I was a bit confused,
...
some characters were not introduced very well which is a good/bad thing because yes it made it a lot more mysterious but also quite difficult to understand what was going on. Later on though, the story definitely starts to flow a lot better and the detective team seems more enjoyable to watch as their personalities and motives begin to reveal and shine through.
Kambe (the millionaire detective) is a wealthy man who relies on an AI called HEUSC which helps him during his investigations (I can’t believe it’s an earring:o). Okay but I loved the part when he has nothing and has to rely on Haru for money, food and shelter, it was a great bonding moment. Anyways later on he slowly realises that some of his commands to the AI are forbidden and do not have authorisation leading him to believe that someone in his family is causing certain information to be restricted to him. This also leads the viewer into believing the obvious outcome too. However there are so many unexpected twist and turns near the end that just make it really entertaining.
I also found Haru’s backstory quite interesting too, at first he worked for the first division (special unit of detectives and investigators) but due to accidentally shooting a hostage during a mission he suffers a form of ptsd. His ex partner from that division would appear quite often and would look down upon him. It is not until when Kambe, Haru’s new partner is able to understand his way of working and help him overcome this weakness. (this part was so cute not gonna lie).
Anyways I really enjoyed this, definitely gave me iron man like vibes, and I don’t wanna say too much because I don’t wanna ruin it so please just give it a watch. I also love the op. I probably will rewatch it again and if there is more to come then I’ll be more than ready to watch it too, I just kinda wish I had not kept this on hold for so long.

A cute chibi animation based of the spin-off gag manga by Kanaineko.
I am a huge fan of Bungo Stray Dogs so this review maybe quite biased;) But I believe in order to really enjoy BSD Wan! is to have watched all seasons of the original main series.
There are 12 episodes in total each being around 11 minutes each. Firstly the character designs are so adorable. We get to see people that normally don’t meet each other have interactions. We also get a better understanding of each individual’s personality’s, this makes the certain characters who normally don’t have much screen time stand out. The emotions, and
...
chaotic energy each character prevails is delivered so well by the Japanese voice actors.
There are many wholesome and memorable moments, as well a special episodes such as Chuuya and Dazai as 14 year olds, a preschool segment and the Dark era which are all very nostalgic. I would say Episodes 1-9 were very funny, and would like to give a little warning that the last 3 episodes are quite emotional, however it does wrap up nicely in the end.
The sound track is also very comedic, and the ending outro is a nice little nod back to the original S1 ending track but sang by Atsushi’s voice actor in a more cheerful way. The outro animation also changes from time to time depending on what happens in that episode so please don’t skip it!
As a fan, I looked forward to each week for the new episode to air, and honestly it provided great humour and joy. Its sweet and short so I’ll probably rewatch it here and then. I was never quite ready for a S4 of BSD so this was a perfect way to provide content for those who have been longtime fans of the series. I hope we will get to see more of Wan! in the future:)
