If there is one thing Tate no Yuusha can teach us all in life. Is that sometimes we need to stop before we go too far. And the author of this story could use that advice, already by second half of the 1st season he should have put that pen down. The 3rd season builds on the erratic pacing, lacklustre story that leads nowhere and complete disconnect between the actions taken by the character and the results they cause. This story, is a perfect example of an author who is inexperienced in writing, with too many ideas but not enough patience to sort through them.

Goblin Slayer is one of those anime we all wanted to continue but ended wishing it never did. The 2nd season is a complete waste of your time, the animations are bad, the story is a complete mess, all the things we loved about Goblin Slayer is thrown out the window for a cheap and mass producible continuation that drags it feet along, sometimes it manages to jump but falls completely short of reaching any significant heights. If anything, it picks itself up somewhat towards the end, but the pacing is so abysmal it ends up over before you can blink. 2nd season, was a ... mistake.

Summertime Render starts out as a mystery, you gulp and get the feeling “Oh man this could be it!” Its tugging on your heart strings, could it be? And midway through you are confused, but do not worry, Summertime Render is even more confused to what it wants to be, a mystery? Horror? BATTLE SHOUNEN? Hold on a moment, what? Truth to be told, this anime has a shockingly good first half that really draws your attention for it to only swap genres completely into nonsensical battle shounen with its animations even morphing into Nanatsu no Taizai at times which made me arguably even more ... confused. I truly have to say, this is one of those moments the creator had no idea how to end it and just ran with the first idea he had.

Do you enjoy extremely boring and bland anime? Well, this one is for you, this anime was created as an experiment by its mangaka, to see if he can truly hit that fine balance of extreme blandness and man, did he achieve it! This anime may as well be the finest of all bland ones out there, it has no drama, it has no conflict, nothing stands out but shockingly there is nothing bad about it either. Its the kind of anime you put on as noise in the background while making dinner and because its pure vanilla, you somehow did not miss a thing!

You ever play Stardew Valley and had like 50 wives, and asked yourself the question, “Huh, I wonder if someone made an anime about my gameplay” Well this is basically it, this is really, just an anime about someones Stardew Valley gameplay footage, it is a classic fetish anime that appeals to the certain goblin of a certain age which have never seen or touched women, in fact, they think women are a video game invention. And thats pretty much this anime, nothing meaningful happens, its boring, bland and stale as they come, the worst of the worst isekai anime solely designed to feed its ... creators fetish.

AH DUNGEON MESHI! AAAH! DUNGEON MESHI! Finally, an anime thats not isekai, or about high school boys together in the same closet. At last, a completely original and well crafted story that takes a complete insane topic and runs with it and DOES IT RUN WITH IT ALRIGHT! There is always something happening, and always something to eat, thats right this is a gourmet anime, but unlike those other gourmet anime, this one is, well lets just say its unique, but I love it for that, I love it dearly, aaah Dungeon Meshi, if you ever wondered what it would be like to cook all ... those monsters you see in dungeon crawler games from the 90s, this anime will answer it for you.

Did 3rd season part 1 make for a good lullaby before bed? Well prepare to wake the f*** up samurai, because its BATTLE SHOUNEN TIME, thats right! Dr. Stone is now a battle shounen! Even if the mangaka smoked the wrong stuff during his creative spurt. How one goes from restoring humanity with scientific trial and error, to a fever dream is frankly unexplainable. So, do you love Beyblade and many other kodomomuke battle shounen? Well Part 2 of season 3 delivers almost too in this category, if not, prepare to cry tears, of disappointment! As you wade through a complete disaster.

Did you enjoy Dr. Stone 1st and 2nd season? Well be prepared, for a story which has no conflicts in it. Third season takes you on a wild ride with a pacing better fitted for a 22 episode crammed into 11, science takes a complete backseat as we now enter the fantasy realm, taking absolutely everything that made Dr. Stone unique, throwing it out the window and turning it into a tried and true shounen story where Senkuu seemingly becomes super hero who can create anything at this stage without much trial and error. The shallowness of Dr. Stone third season is its greatest downfall ... making it truly, mediocre.

Did you enjoy first season? Well, be prepared for a slight downgrade to an otherwise very interesting space anime. Also prepare your air drums because they will burst, sound design in this anime is among worst, up there with Berserk 2016. While the grand story takes the backseat in favour of more character driven story this time, it does not fit well with the overall setting, at times it feels forced, other times its weird alongside the pacing which can leave you wondering, and a bit confused between episodes. The biggest drag however is the sounds, there way too much cling, clang, zwaap, zchwiing, iii, ... aaa what? Think I lost my hearing.

You ever had the experience where you sit down next to a stranger and he then stares at you, tells you about his deepest fetish fever dream as if he seeks your acceptance, only for you to end up feeling extremely creeped out? Thats essentially this anime in a nutshell.
Its simply a juveniles biggest fetish fever dream turned into ridicules display of the creators smug self-satisfaction.

First episode starts strong and leads the viewer into a false sense of hope, the anime essentially starts with preview of what it could have been, but instead we are completely rick-rolled after the main character Cid is isekai’d ... into the otherworld and then presented what can only be described as a time wasting disappointment.
As many self-proclaimed expert connoisseurs of trash have pointed out, the anime is mocking the isekai genre, this is simply, not true and I will explain why.

If by ones imagination that said character being overpowered beyond even being funny, One Punch Man does portray this far funnier but also grows stale after the same joke is overdone, but Kage no Jitsuryokusha grows old after 3 episodes.
The story itself seems to have no idea what it wants, there very little explanation or buildup, you simply time skip over everything, all the suspense is simply blown away by Cid in a second and then the story is left stumbling through what to do next.

Its almost like the author is too incompetent to think of anything interesting, instead we get overbloated gratification shots of women with oversized breasts, buttocks and everything imaginable, then thrown into precarious situations because thats the kind of viewer this anime targets, the thirsty prepubescent kind who never talked to women other than their own mother.

And this is the problem of Kage no Jitsuryokusha, its simply the creator expressing himself as Cid, showcasing his deepest desires, its hardly entertainment, but rather self-indulgent trash with no meaning to it. There could have been a very interesting story of the formation of Shadow Garden, but instead the creator just decides to skip over all the interesting parts, showing Cid just blowing everything up.

Instead of being a mockery of isekai, its a mockery of itself, the anime does not take itself serious yet at the same time, wants to be serious, its mind boggling how confused everything is, at one point it jumps over everything important, at another point there is a lot of drag on the pointless story parts, it turns serious, then Cid just makes a clown dance of everything and the story moves on, for 20 whole episodes, the same old stuff, happens over and over again, the Shadow Garden goes from being predominant force, into a background afterthought, Cid goes from being an afterthought into a clown who is simply going from one venue to another to do his clown stuff with jokes so horrible no one laughed during the pre-screening in Japan, thats tragic!

Serious story time? (SKIP) -> Something happens? (Cid blows it up) -> Show 10 minutes of padding scenes in every episode. -> Show one of the female characters breasts or buttocks up close.
This is the anime in a nutshell, does that sound good to you?

The only redeeming feature of this joke, is the fact its second season had to be cut in half because of how unpopular it was in Japan, it really blew hard, and its no wonder, only a “Cid" would watch this and genuinely enjoy it.
