Honestly, I’ve never really been exposed to boxing but after watching this anime, I definitely recommend watching it.
It’s very wholesome and filling, and the characters are so well designed.
The art is amazing, it’s so good to look at the old anime style and I can’t get over the wind art. I don’t think you can get anything like it in the new anime set list. The quality of such an old anime is amazing, just astonishing truly how much heart and soul was put together to create such an amazing work of art.
I think after completing the first season, I’ve realised a lot about
...
the sport and a lot about perspective behind courageous people. I used to really think that people who had endless confidence were stupid but I can see that their drive always has a story which makes every individual in the anime so much more in depth. I can’t help but feel the adrenaline rush when they are surpassing their limits. The feeling of anxiety yet excitement. Ippo has so many arcs of speedy recoveries and development mentally and physically.
Though I’d have to say my favourite character would be Takamura which might be influence by my feminine side. He’s so funny and lively, it’s impossible not to love him.
I also found myself rooting for Sendo a lot, I must have a thing for big hitters but I would definitely check it out. It does seem a bit long but once you’re watching you seriously can’t stop. Even if you’re stalling it, I promise when you jump back into it, it’s like you never left. Apologies for rambling quite a bit.
Thanks xx
