Story: 10
Gripping. Its filled with such rich contents that you can't shove it aside. It is original and it is well researched. It depicts each character's lives in such realism. It shows how lost we humans are, how much we've lost our true selves. And that out past and present are linked even though we hide them under layers of make-up, they still are there, lingering within the depths of our conscious.
Art: 10
Very very real. Its nice how the author takes different views and angles. How each character has a touch of humane in them. It it also very detailed form the twitch of a
...
finger, to the dripping of sweat. And how he shows how Japanese people actually look like. I can differentiate characters =)
Character: 10
So well thought of into and out. They have their story and its filled with humanity. The modern problems of today's generation in identifying oneself. The main character isn't so perfect himself is why the manga is a success because it portrays true human qualities. The minor characters are interesting as well and have their side of their story which is equally intense and mysterious.
Enjoyment: 10
This is a mature manga and it does live up to its rating. The mature contents are somewhat gross yet exciting.
Overall: 10
This manga is very well plotted and the author knows exactly what he's doing and where he's going. The beginning til' the end and the title are connected that it challenges you to even try to predict what happen next. Though its rather slow paced but the detailed expressions and scenes make you lose track of time, it makes you hungry for more. This manga is worth the time if you have the patience.

Story: 10
This is by far one of the most original storyline which is lacking among today's mangas. Not many authors are willing to base characters on the obsessed or the morally lacking. But at the last verse at the end of the series, it shows that this series, is actually based on the same formula as most romance mangas. There are both the hero and heroine and how the hero saves the other but it honestly never really occurred to me. Maybe I'm rather slow. O_O but with such intent at the starting, the story really follows this motive but its interpreted in such a
...
different way that I'm fairly impressed.
Art: 7
There isn't anything special. I'm not too keen about art but this manga lost its point in it because through out volume 5, I had mistaken a minor character as the main character. There wasn't much variation between the 2.
Character: 10
Superb. Simply original and superb. Though its a waste that there wasn't much background to the main character but its his lack of humanity that amuses me. The taboo word of inhumane gave me hope that there is still hope in modern literature, hope in authors to tackle the taboo themes.
Enjoyment: 9
The story despite its originality is more focused on its evolving of character. not so much on the mystery behind the crime and the genius of the main character, in fact its more on the psychological approach which also lacks. So don't expect some genius scheme of revealing the sick mind.
Overall: 8
This manga is woth the read if you want a change of the typical genres. If you want a change in main characters, try this manga. Though it may contain some gore which can be a tad too disturbing to some, its worth a read.

Rave, the anime was the reason of my anime addiction. I was disappointed when it was left at episode 50(around volume12 I think). And so, I picked it up from where the anime left off meaning that I, until today have not read the first few volumes.
Story:
Its so cliche but since it was my first manga, I didn't feel so then and was completely engrossed in it. There are many twists, some are brilliant, some are dumb. I consider myself as a sadist because my most enjoyable part throughout the anime/manga was when Elie got tortured (it happened 3 times). :D
I found it very arousing...
...
=_=
The fight scenes are hard to tell from one another, are short and they follow the same formula, which is the hero loses and he dramatically recovers and starts kicking ass. And the blood is black. The end was also quite rushed though the story up til then was well paced.
Art: 7
Nothing special about the art though it has its own style. Everyone would look the same if it weren't for their hair basically. There isn't much to the scenery as the story doesn't cover much regions and every where is an empty plane.
Character: 8
A typical shounen manga with strong supporting characters and rather weak main characters. Many find Elie annoying but she's my favourite. She's very weak and I am disappointed that her powers weren't exploited btu I still love her, maybe its because of the sadist within me. Haru depends on a sword, so imagine if he didn't have his sword and high stamina, he would be left as a useless wimp and his techniques are just slash and run and jump and slash, he doesn't uses any special strategy whatsoever. The relationship between Haru and Elie is more of a brother and sister, not that of lovers, I choose Seighart over Haru anytime.
Musica is one character who undergoes a make over which is definitely a good thing. the characters basically are the parents of the cast of Fairtail. And also there's the manag's mascot Plue whom isn't decided on what species it actually is. Another memorable character is Reina and I give the author credit for her character's plot. I hate Ruby the retard and Julia the whore.
Enjoyment: 8
Aside from the sadism part of mine, I enjoyed this manga because I wanted to know since the beginning the mysteries the author had laid out. And I am not one bit disappointed at the unfolded stories. However, I hate the ending. It was shit. I wished the author had taken a bold step in destroying the shounen stereotype outcomes. It really ruined my reason of loving Rave.
Overall: 8
Rave was my first love and will always be my first love. I give it an '8' because of Elie and also the twists throughout the manga.
I honestly don't understand why people would rather read Fairytail than Rave because they both are dry out of ideas, at least Rave has an amnesia suffering chick :D
I know I sound very biased, but I feel that Rave is very much left in the closet, compared to Fairytail.

Story: 8
The story ha snothing special about it. A typical manga about a student's life mixed up with attention from the media, jealous female students with raging hormones, a cousin who wants to be seen as an adult, and a guy who saves the day.Its another shoujo manga. But somehow, when i finished this manga, I wasn't really satisfied because, I wanted the story to continue, I fell in love with the overused plot and I just couldn't put the book down. Throughout the manga, the author has side notes, talking about her current addictions. Though there isn't any 'breaking the third wall' among the characters
...
which is a method I really enjoy, she still manages to connect with the reader, and she's very humble. The story layout is very simple and should I say carefree. Its a really easy read without much intensity within it. A rather relaxing piece of work.
Art: 9
I'm not too particular about most art in mangas. In fact, my main concern is how the mangaka differentiates one character from another which she has done very well especially on Izumi's features. There are clearly times when Hikaru is drawn as the male component while Izumi as the female component which kinda destroy most shoujo manga cliches
Character: 10
The characters are so lovable. It really makes you wanna root for their love. Kudos to the mangaka for creating a lead female who is strong and isn't a retarded, dependent, annoying, air-headed girl which is found in many shoujo mangas.I honestly appreciate her silence. You can actually say, that the roles of the characters are switched because both characters portray personalities of the opposite gender. Izumi is seen as a more feminine while Hikaru is a strong opinionated male. However, both character's feminine and masculine sides are very well balanced.
Enjoyment: 10
I absolutely love gender benders not because of the comedy, but because of the vulnerability of the characters and when it is threatened, the characters take the most extreme measures to cover it up. ( I think it only happened twice)
Another reason is because we, the reader aren't left in the dark and seeing their genders being kept a secret really is out main interest.(that's why I dropped Girl meets Girl) And being caught up in the whole mess just makes you want more.
Overall: 8
This manga loses on its originality but then, when it comes to gender bender, I honestly just wanna see them make out, (I'm a little biased cause I didn't get to see more than a kiss) hide their secrets and fool everyone (suckers). And this manga has a more valid reason for a person to switch genders than most mangas which might make sense, might. I liked how the author ended it but I give it an '8' because I want MORE of it. I want to see everyone's reaction but that would just ruin the sweetness of it. I guess its up to my imagination to satisfy my lust.

lol I love this phrase

Storyline: 10
The plot is simply original. In most mangas where there are sudden twists, Liar Game is full of them and, they are smartly planned out. Each challenge is psychologically related and also challenging. And they actually make sense. However, the main characters being able to solve each puzzles and use the,'actually, I had already figure that out' phrase does get kinda cheesy, but its still a good read as it keeps you on the edge to know how exactly will the mangaka pull it off.
Characters: 8
The characters are simply down to earth, they really portray just how rotten we humans are and how distrustful
...
we've become of each other. One thing I like about this manga, is that the author made Nao a little smarter than when she first started out. Over the series, she improves and contributes to the series though you may find her to be extremely annoying. Akiyama makes us realise how stupid we, the reader are. New characters also have certain depths to their story but then, the story mainly focuses on solving and figuring out ways to deceive people that you honestly don't give a damn about the minor characters Other than the trio, Nao, Akiyama, Fukunaga and Yokoya not to mention the LGT office are the main focus of the manga. I love Fukunaga to the core. She ( I respect her wishes) is simply amazing as she makes up for Nao's stupidity.
Art:7
the art is nothing special although sometimes it may be a little off. But I give credit to the mangaka for making each character distinguishable from one another. ( I have problems with differentiating characters =_=)
Enjoyment: 9
I'm a sucker for mystery genre manga and I believe most people are too. I usually like mangas with strong female characters but Liar Game is an exception, because it never fails to disappoint me with its plot and not to mention puzzles.
Overall, Liar Game is simply one heck of a puzzle, its basically about humanities strive in trusting one another which is seriously lacking today.

This manga caught my attention, why? Because there's a girl with a gun O.O
Well its another story about masters and servants which is similar to Fate/Stay Night and not to mention the kissing-contract making thing which is something like Mahou Sensei Negima. Overall, there's nothing special and the art is like most mangas. The hero looks kinda dimwitted and his servant follows him around like a stalker. This manga has progressed to 3 volumes only so there's nothing much to comment about. Let's just hope that it has something that will shine.
