Here comes another installment of Baki, a series known for its intense gore and wtf moments. If you've been a fan of the characters so far, you might somewhat enjoy this season too, but there's a problem.
The issue lies in the fact that the Pickle arc contributes nothing significant to the actual storyline of the Baki universe. We've already had three seasons of Baki (excluding the older Grappler Baki seasons), all building up to the legendary fight between father and son. The last season, in particular, set the stage for this epic showdown, with Baki defeating the second-strongest man on the planet, leaving only Yujiro
...
in his way. Consequently, this arc feels more like a filler arc, as it doesn't impact the main storyline.
The main focus of this arc is on a prehistoric man named Pickle, who mysteriously survived being frozen in ice while battling a dinosaur (quite the Captain America move right there!). He reemerges in the modern world, and surprisingly, he's already stronger than most well-established characters in the series. This becomes problematic as this arc doesn't treat these beloved characters with the respect they deserve, often making them act goofier without reason. It's like after three seasons, suddenly all the characters become less intelligent, which is kinda disappointing. This is more apparent in some scenes, like the one where every character goes to the facility where Pickle is kept just to see how strong he is or the scene where Retsu starts throwing random punches at Pickle, completely forgetting his so-called 4000-year-old fighting style.
When it comes to fights, they are undeniably gory, even more so than the previous season. You've got a severed leg, hand, and mouth (the result of the most intimate kiss in anime history). Given that Pickle considers opponents as mere food, such brutality is expected. Other than that the CGI is somewhat less I guess, although don't expect continuous fight frames as the narrator along with Tokugawa and a weird scientist will constantly butt in with their explanations. Even then, I do feel there is somewhat of an improvement in this aspect this season, as last season felt more like PowerPoint slides in motion. So I would give a point to that.
Overall, it's a passable first half. We all know why we're here – we want to see Yujiro vs. Baki, and unfortunately, you still gotta wait for it. There are some cool fights scattered throughout, but it mostly feels like a filler arc at best. If you're a die-hard fan of Baki fights, you might enjoy it, but otherwise, it's a set of 13 skippable episodes where you won't be missing anything crucial to the main storyline.

Anime as a media has a lot to offer although battle shounens are the one that gets most of the limelight among any other genre of Anime. Despite this fact, after watching tons of good battle shounen we hardly get any show which can surprise us with something new, and here I'm not talking about a thrilling story because most of the battle shounen does a pretty good job with its peak fight and emotional moments. Here I'm especially talking about a story that surprises us with a different plot line which doesn't fit into the battle shounen mold.
Hunter x Hunter offers one such
...
story which feels unique and new most of the time.
What did I like about Hunter x Hunter?
_Story [Minor Spoiler] - This show has 2 major arcs other than tournament and training arcs i.e. Yorknew City and Chimera Ant arc, both of which end without the fight we mostly anticipate for. Now that's not something that holds the story back but rather makes the plot much more real and believable and far different from any other similar show. The whole story in general is filled with abstract plot lines and character choices which enhances the story for the audience
_Characters - On the surface level characters do look shallow at first but with time the story does a brilliant job of exploring more of the character flaws which eventually makes the most of its character very human.
_Power System - Hands down one of the best shounen power system. Nen is unique and diverse at the same time. One can almost write a whole book just explaining Nen. Thus most of the fights are exciting and unique despite being confusing at times
_The sense of Danger - People DIE in this series which is somewhat rare with similar shows. I think death is necessary for building tension among the audience and this show has a lot to offer. I mean a ton of people just die during a selection exam.
_Chimera Ant arc [MAJOR SPOILER] - The most compelling and unique arc for any battle shounen I ever came across. Chimera Ants as antagonists are by far one of the best villians in any entertainment media. Also the way this show explores the virtuousness of Chimera Ants and on the other hand, the evils of mankind was a mind-boggling experience to sit through. The whole character arc of Meruem says a lot about how Ants eventually developed some human values with time. On the other hand, despite being the strongest entity, the death of Meruem signifies how evil and wicked humans have become and no one stands a chance against them. This arc contains one of the saddest yet beautiful ending for any battle shounen arc
Where it could have been better? (Here I've mentioned a few aspects which I thought could have been improved)
_Art Style and Character Design - Now this is totally subjective but I find the character designs of this show kind of childish and annoying at times like few Chimera Ants looks like some low-budget mascot which doesn't justify their dark and evil character trait. Even the design of Royal guards and many main characters of this show looks average and flashy for no reason at all. Also, the art style of this show is pretty cartoonish and that's the main reason why I avoided it for so long time. This show has a dark theme and I think a dark gothic art style would have suited much better than the bright-colored cartoonish art.
_Pacing - Again not the worst but could have been improved. For example, the chimera ant arc takes around 40 episodes just to set up the big event which we knew gonna happen after like 20 something episodes which sometimes annoys you as a viewer like you already have some of the biggest threats humanity has ever faced walking around killing people but rather than focusing on them the show somewhat deviates from it and starts some new subplot which has very little to offer to the story or in terms of character development
_Gon's Anger - This show does a great job with certain powerups the character goes through basically there is no ass pull which most of the battle shounen are famous for. Despite that one of the most highlighted scenes of this anime has our MC Gon transforming into something much more powerful just because of his uncontrollable anger which eventually destroys his body. Now the problem with this particular scene is that they never justified the reason behind his anger which eventually led the viewers to not properly connect with the character
Final Thoughts:
I consider this show better than any other modern battle shounen in terms of quality. The story, character motives, and their decision are much more real and human compared to any other show. Although I think the entertainment value could have been improved just by rectifying its pacing issues.
Overall a must watch shounen which offers an engaging plot and some enjoyable characters

Almost after a month of watching Jujutsu Kaisen in cinemas, I'm finally here for its review which probably no one gonna read(˘_˘٥) well whatever.
JJK 0 felt the exact opposite of what I felt watching Mugen train. Mugen train surprised me with its last 30 minutes on the other hand JJK 0 somewhat bored me in its climax. That's a shame considering how good all of its trailers and songs felt. Well, it's not like this movie was terrible but it could've been much better. So let's just talk about its praiseworthy aspects and shortcomings.
Appreciable aspects of this movie:
_Animation - without a doubt the best
...
animation I've ever seen in any anime and ya it was better than Mugen train though it can be debated when compared with that Tengen vs Gyutaro fight from KNY season 2. Still, I'll certainly go with JJK. So without a doubt animation was a 10/10 for me.
_The opening 30 minutes of this movie - this movie does a good job with all of the initial scenes with Yuuta. We learn about his past along with a banger opening song which was quite a good opening for this movie. We get to see much more of Gojo vs Higher Ups.
_It's canon - a canon plot that is connected to the main story is indeed an appreciable aspect of any battle shounen movie
_Action - with animation being so good it was inevitable to have too many good fight scenes. The choreography in Nanami and Gozo's fights were really good.
So where does this movie fails?
_Lack of proper BGM and weird positioning of Songs throughout the movie - this is the thing that bothered me the most throughout the movie. This movie doesn't have any part of "One Way" by King Gnu (btw it was marketed as the theme song of this movie) or Sakayume also by King Gnu, instead what they did was to play both these songs one after another during the credit rolls after the ending of movie which was quite dumb.
_Action and emotional scenes- ya I'm putting action in both of its good and bad aspects. Despite all its well-choreographed and animated action scenes, the lack of music made those scenes soulless. Just consider the first season we had "Your Battle is My Battle" during Gojo vs Jogo, "Fight Again" during Itadori and Todo vs hanami, "Remember" during Itadori and Nobara vs cursed brothers also who can forget the Hollow Purple theme, and many more which made all those fight scenes far more epic but the same can't be said for the movie. It lacks music throughout its scenes
_Flashback Frequency - don't get me wrong it's not like this movie is filled with flashbacks but it was noticeable that they used it quite often which kind of annoyed me at some point. I mean that's what I like most about JJK, the minimal use of flashbacks in storytelling.
_Yuuta as a protagonist - As I told earlier initial scenes of Yuuta were good but with time his character came off as nothing but another bland shounen protagonist much like Deku from MHA (well not that bad at least), it was neither bad nor good.
Final Thoughts -- Despite mentioning all these negatives, I think this will be a good one-time watch for any shounen fan. It's a canon movie featuring some of the major events in the JJK universe so I would recommend it to every JJK fan.

[SPOILER-FREE]
Whenever a good show gets a sequel, there is a huge possibility that it will fail to recreate the same magic as its predecessor. Especially when you consider most SOL (Slice of Life) shows, this phenomenon is true most of the time. But for some reason this season of Dragon Maid has surpassed it's previous season in every aspect.
Story(8/10):
One of the main reasons this series excelled as a SOL is that it has solid story progression throughout the series which I think most of the similar shows lack which makes things repetitive.
Story starts with our lovely maid Tooru still trying to master all qualities
...
of a proper maid. With introduction of a new character story moves forward. Each new episode gives more insight of the world which further helps us understand our characters even more than before. We get to see more of Elma, Kanna and of course Tooru.
The pacing of this show is amazing it manages to give proper share of real story progression while maintaining the same entertainment factor throughout an episode.
Art(9/10):
oh man, what the hell with this animation, this can put many battle shounen to shame XD
Joking apart, this show really does some outstanding work in it's art and animation. Lets forget some exceptional battle scenes this season has to offers, just try to focus on the background animation in most of the outdoor scenes, it is really amazing. This amount of detailing really shows the calibre of Kyoto Animation. Bright colors fits perfectly with the theme of this show and enhances the viewing experience
Sound(8/10):
I personally enjoyed the opening and ending of this season more than the first one. OSTs blends well throughout the show though there were no standouts among them.
Now talking about the voice acting, it was as amazing as the first season. We finally get to hear more of our adorable Kanna :)
Character(8/10):
This season was special as we get to know many of our character's past and how things were before the encounter of kobayashi and Tooru. Though I would like to see more of Kobayashi, her past and family. At the end all characters are likable, you can't get enough of them.
Enjoyment(9/10):
To me this was one of the most entertaining show I watched in a while
Likable characters, excellent animation, nice humour, proper story progression, good pace, what more do you need?
Overall(9/10):
For me this was easily a higher 8 show. You don't often find such SOL shows which gets you invested in an instant and is so much enjoyable at the same time. I wish they continue this series in future as well.
Lastly let's think whether you should watch this show/series or not
_Do you like Slice of Life?
_Do you like "cute girls doing cute things"?
_Do you like bright and cheerful anime?
_Do you like mild fanservice which do not hinder your overall experience?
_Do you like magic anime?
_Do you like visually stunning anime fights?
_Do you like overpowered characters?
If your answer is yes to any of the above questions then just watch this show

If I try to summarize my experience with 'Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi' in a single phrase then it will be "A decent one time watch"
Story(7/10):
A standard romance story which may feel generic if you have watched plenty of similar stuffs. Though nothing to complain about it either, it is enough to hold you until the very end. The pacing of the story is really good and that was the reason I was able to finish it in one go.
Art(8/10):
This has to be the most mesmerizing part of this anime. It does a really good job in portraying modern Japan in such a beautiful way.
...
Still don't expect something like Makoto Shinkais' works.
Sound(6/10):
Fine but forgettable
Characters and Voice acting(7/10):
Our main leads are likable especially Josee, though the male lead seems quite generic at many points. The supporting cast is pretty much the same like any other similar anime(basically plot device to move the story forward).
Voice acting is good and personally I really liked Josee's voice
Enjoyment(8/10):
I watched it in one attempt, so I guess I enjoyed it. Especially the art and the pace of this anime was perfect as per my taste
Overall(7/10):
I think it was a enjoyable show apart from some generic plot events. It will be a good one time watch if you want a light-hearted romance.
Now let's talk about some of the negatives I came across while watching this movie:
................[Minor Spoilers]...............
1. Story is pretty common(hard working guy taking care of a tsundere) and predictable at many times. You can almost predict what is going to happen the next moment. I literally predicted her grandma's death just before the scene.
2. Characters are hollow, and here I am talking about our MCs. There was a noticeable lack of depth in the main characters. It felt like a proper background was necessary for developing these characters. Honestly I couldn't care much about them until the very end.
On the contrary let's compare this with a similar movie, A silent voice. What makes silent voice so incredible is the constant inner conflicts among almost every characters in that movie which connects the viewers' emotions with them and gradually we starts caring about them subconsciously. So any of there action affect us as the movie proceeds.
According to me this is the main aspect where this movie lags behind 'A Silent Voice'.
3. The love triangle was nothing but lackluster and one of the most generic part of this movie, and after all that, it was only there to move the story forward.
Apart from all those things, I can easily recommend it to any romance fan, as most of times it is entertaining.

[MOSTLY-SPOILER-FREE] :)
Finally watched one of the most anticipated and positively reviewed anime movie of all time. After all I can truly say that this movie do deserved all the praise it received from fans all over the world.
Story(8/10): It was continuation of the first season as it starts from the exact same place where we left in the last episode. Since whole thing was Canon, I think everyone will love the story if they like the main anime.
Art(9/10): One of the most amazing aspect of this anime got be its animation especially the last 30 40 minutes were simply
...
beautiful.
Sound[8/10]: It was good, nothing to complain about it. Though I really liked Rengoku's theme.
Character[7/10]: Renguku's character was something to remember even after the movie ends, other than that everything was similar to the first season.
Enjoyment[9/10]: I really enjoyed watching this anime and can easily recommend this to any Shounen fan. The constant pace of the story was good as it keeps you hooked until the very end.
Overall[8/10]:
Apart from all these positive aspects, I do found some small issues, though it can differ from person to person. [Small Spoilers Ahead]
I was disappointed by the character of Enmu, I mean a whole episode of first season was dedicated for him to be a perfect villain for this movie, still his character felt pretty pale and weak to me. For me Rui was far more relatable and well written character than Enmu. There was no sense of danger from him apart from all those fusion with train and all. I think if Upper Rank 3 didn't had showed up at the end then this movie surly was going to get criticized for it's weak antagonist.
And one more thing which is actually not even an issue but still since I felt that, I am going to share it and that is this movie do not feel like a movie lol, I mean it feels more like a bunch of demon slayer episodes combined together.
Still this movie is far more enjoyable than any Non Canon shit with 'what the hell is happening' plot.

I always try to be respectful in my reviews, that is the reason why I usually review series which feels nice to me. But man what the hell was this anime.
I understand you are targeting the female audience but still showing a abusive relationship in a positive light is too much man. Throughout the show our main lead mentally and some time physically hurts Erica, considers her a dog. And at the end guess what, she falls for him, I mean she rejects a proper decent boy for a abusive boy and some weirdos considers this anime as one of the best Shoujo........lol
I will
...
say just one thing to all people who somewhat like this series, just try to imagine Kyouya Sata as an ugly smelly guy rather than a handsome macho boy, I bet you will start to feel it disgusting.
I am currently at episode 10 and I just want to finish it for the sake of finishing it lol

See I know this anime is good but more than that it had some potential to be a great show which was clear from the last two episodes.
Story(4/10):
There is no doubt that story is not the main highlight of this show. It's pretty straight forward which might attract some people.
Art(9/10):
This was the most mesmerizing part of the show. This anime have some top quality visuals.
Sound(7/10):
Opening song was quite catchy and the OST blends well with the animation.
...
Character(6/10):
Whole cast was good, although due to the lack of motivation they sometimes feel too bland and boring.
Enjoyment(6/10):
This can be quite confusing but I will give my personal view, so you may disagree with my thoughts.
This anime felt pretty promising in some of the early episodes but after like 4 5 episodes it felt quite boring and over exaggerated.
Though the last 2 episode was good and it was able to catch my attention.
Overall(6/10)
I somewhat enjoyed this show but it was a let down if I consider its potential as a romcom. See if you like romance and can handle some over exaggerated drama like "I'm sad, I hate myself, who am I, I'm so ugly" then this will be a good watch for you.
According to me, the main problem lies in the improper build up for some highlighted moments. If you consider any great romance show, they take there time in some build up for the final heartwarming moment which pleases the audience but this show fails to do so many times especially in some of the middle episodes.
Just imagine you are watching two people having a romantic time in a show with some great animation and quality background music, without proper build up it will feel cringy and that's what happens with the show until episode 11.
Why I like the last two episodes?
The show somehow shifted it's focus from romance to friendship in these two episodes which seemed quiet heartwarming to me. The only romance they showcased was between Hori and Miyamura which was quite digestible after 11 episodes.
Although this show doesn't justifies the craze it has from the past 2 months, it is a good one time watch for romance fans and also for those who are into Horimiya manga

[MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS]
I understand why many people dislike this anime. I mean everyone wants their protagonist to end up with the person he likes regardless of the amount of obstacles he/she faces, same goes for me but that's not how things work in the real world.
5 centimeters per second is one such story of distance and acceptance.
Story(9/10):
The story is separated in 3 different episodes with 3 different title.
Episode 1(Cherry Blossoms) introduces us with the main characters Takaki and Akari. In this episode Akari introduce the idea that Cherry Blossoms falls at the speed of 5 centimeters per second which is the main theme of
...
the movie.
Episode 2(Cosmonaut) introduces us to Kanae, a girl who is in love with Takaki though the reverse is not true.
Episode 3(5 centimeters per second) introduces us to the heart broken Takaki who still believe that he will reunite with Akari.
Though the story seems pretty straight forward but it is too real and grounded in comparison to any other romance, this keeps the viewer hooked until the very end.
Art(10/10)
Whether anyone likes this movie or not, but everyone have accept the fact that this anime has some of the best quality animation out there considering the fact that it was released in 2007.
Sound(10/10)
The main theme song is beautiful and the OST blends very well with the atmosphere of the movie. Personally I love them both, it always makes me melancholic no matter how many times or where I listen to it.
Characters(10/10)
There are only 3 characters in this movie. All are well written and executed.
Enjoyment(9/10)
I usually consider this as the most important virtue of any show or movie and I hugely judge them based on this factor. Although this is not true for this movie. It does not please us with a happy ending neither satisfy with any open ending. So majority of people will feel heart broken with the ending but as you further understand the deeper layers of the story you will eventually fell in love with this movie.
Overall(10/10)
I don't often give any show 10 unless it has a deep impact on my thinking as an audience. This movie somewhat changed my views on love.
We people have a general idea that love is the greatest and no matter how much hardship it faces, at the end it will prevail. But we forget that life is not about just 2 characters who are in love, it has its own constant flow which is uncontrollable. So there are things which love also can't defeat.
At the end, everyone stuck in these situations only have two options either to move on like Akari and Kanae did or keep hurting yourself like Takaki.
No matter what you choose, people will meet and grow together just like cheery blossom and finally will get separated with the speed of
5 CENTIMETERS PER SECOND

There are very few manga which actually scared me and Ibitsu is one of them....... I mean most of the time horror manga are more disgusting due to it's gore rather than scary
Story(9/10) - It was the most positive side of this manga. Though some things are
not explained properly but that does not mean it has plot-holes, this
only increases the horror in the
...
mind of the reader.
Art(8/10) - It was good, nothing special but nothing to complain about either.
Character(8/10) - the Lolita girl's character is well executed, other than that all the
characters are same as any common horror show.
Enjoyment(9/10) - the most important part of any show or manga is the fact that it
should entertain the viewer/reader. According to me Ibitsu does a
great job in this. Specially the pace of the story is very good, it
keeps you hooked with the constant twists until the very end.
Overall(9/10) - Personally I really liked this manga(It scared me very much lol). And
one thing I noticed that this is quite underrated in the community, I
mean this is far better than many popular horror shows out there
