After a first somewhat mixed review on the first season of Kimetsu no Yaiba, here is a review of the second season, applicable to both the movie and series:
Story: 6/10
Similar to Season 1, the story isn't particularly original and we're not here for that anyway: Early 1900, iin Japan, people with superpowers, story about saving a girl and achieving revenge... we have 15 of these each season. Thankfully, it is narrated and paced well enough to remain interesting.
Art: 10/10
Simply gorgeous, the main reason behind this anime's success. The art style is both unique and fantastic, never ceases to please the eye.
Sound: 8/10
The opening and
...
ending musics are just as bad as other anime (except Jujutsu Kaisen s1 - you did it right!), actual musics and sound design during the episodes are utterly glorious, and are one of the strongest points of this season.
Characters: 8/10
A great improvement from the first season where the main character was insufferable, this season not only improves on this aspect, but also highlights other amazing characters, including bad guys!
Overall: 9/10
This second season - particularly in its movie version - is reminiscent of the great "Dragon Ball Z: Fusion" movie: There's not much in terms of story, but the combat, art and pace are so masterfully managed that you'll probably come back for more. It has the potential to become a classic, that anime fans can universally recognized as a high point in anime history.

An extremely disappointing follow-up after a promising first season.
Mushoku Tensei started with a great first season, that promised novelty and a mature approach to the Isekai genre.
What a disappointment with this second season, the protagonist's development is fully stopped - Worse, they are regressing to acting increasingly more childish and incapable of expressing themselves.
The story is at a complete standstill during this second season, that seems exclusively focused on enlarging the protagonist's harem.
Dialogues are cringe to a point they're painful to read, seemingly most characters were newly born and are just discovering the basics of life.
Thankfully, some rare good scenes (mostly combat, there really
...
isn't much else to save this season for now) can keep you interested enough to keep watching, hopefully until the final 4 episodes which we hope finally get things moving in the right direction. Points for good graphics and sound.

I don't have any funny or insightful introduction to this review, so let's just jump into it:
Story: 6/10
Although the world, "magic" system and story are not very original, it's all different enough from what I've seen before to be enjoyable to follow.
However I also have to impact the score here due to the heavy spam of flashbacks (Bleach-like), both for storytelling purpose and classic "My friends are counting on me". There are far better ways to build a story, and many flashbacks are simply pointless, simply wasting time before the story continues/next cool fights happen.
Art: 10/10
I originally went with my guts for a 9, but
...
then couldn't find anything wrong with art, so here's a 10.
Sound: 7/10
One of the rare anime in which I can go through the opening and ending without tearing my ears apart. Otherwise, ambient sound & music are good and fit well in the flow of the anime.
Characters: 2/10
Here is the major issue I have with this anime: While some characters are alright, so many are completely idiotic, either complete archetypes with little extra depth or straight morons.
Hopefully that'll evolve with season 2, but for now, for me, characters are the main deal breaker, that impacted...
... Enjoyment: 5/10
I'm saddened to score this one so low. Overall I appreciate the story, love the fights, but characters completely kill the fun. "Wow" moments become "shut the f... up moron", "freaking move/talk..." or so.
In addition, humor completely falls flat, comedy is forced exclusively through character traits, rather than situation or as part of the story. Despite the very many attempts, Demon Slayer never had me even smile, quite the contrary.
Overall: 7/10
Despite how characters heavily impacted how I enjoyed this first season of Demon Slayer, being as objective as possible, it is still a good anime. If you can get past its defects, you are likely to have a nice time watching Demon Slayer.
Despite the little fun I had, I'll give the next season a try, with hopes that characters improve, and both them and the story get a little bit deeper.

Yet another Isekai in the vast family of isekais.
Once again, the question will be: Does it bring anything new to the genre?
The answer is yes. Breakdown:
- Story: 8/10
Unlike the vast majority of isekai, the resurrection and soul transmigration to another world makes sense, this heavily underused aspect of isekais is, here, used thoroughly and cleverly throughout the first season. The character's motivations and goals also drive the story if far more interesting manners than what we've seen before: A nice story to discover.
- Art: 9/10
I'm not a good judge for art, but damn these explosions are sexy!
...
- Sound: 6/10
Doesn't have the worst generic/outro of the anime universe. Still not a music I can enjoy, however the ambient sounds and music throughout the episodes is fine.
- Characters: 9/10
Main protagonist: Finally an isekai character I can somewhat relate with, not our usual looser nerd but an intelligent man that seizes his chances and makes his decision based on his previous life.
Harem team: Although they bear an interesting backstory, the protagonist's team is not the best part of the cast: ultra-badass, super-massively-breasted women dedicating their entire existence (and body) to the main character... Boring.
The rest: This anime respects extremely well its secondary characters, a wide spectrum of individual is represented, from the most vile (disturbingly, in some cases) to the heroic.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Except for the rare, forced ecchi moments, I had a lot of fun watching these first 11 episodes, mainly thanks to the story, art and characters.
Overall: 9/10
Unlike most isekais, Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha's strong points far outweigh the weaker ones, offering an isekai that, although not extremely original, is special enough to provide a nice feeling of novelty while being extremely enjoyable to watch as the story unfolds and the battles get more intense.
If you felt that "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" was a good isekai, please watch this one and enjoy the far superior quality.

Another anime in the wide family of isekais. The question is then: Does it bring anything new or interesting to the genre?
The answer is no. Breakdown:
- Art: 9/10
Let's start with a good point, fights were very pleasant to watch, from choreographs to effects. I'm not a good judge of art, but that was good enough for me, even exceeded a few expectations.
- Sound: 5/10
For this one I'm biased, despite trying hard I still cannot stand the vast majority of anime music. Little girls shouting in a microphone is not pleasant to my ears. However, ambient music and sounds were alright, skip intro and
...
ending if you're like me.
- Characters: 3/10
The main issue in this anime. Main protagonist was resurrected and transmigrated from another universe, this isekai hero is just like any other isekai hero: Overpowered, hardly relatable with, his anterior life is irrelevant, not adding any value to the story. Worse, while the character was a grown up man in their original world, their psychology is completely morphed into that of a teen girl for the sake of matching appearance.
Regarding the rest of the cast, except for a few somewhat interesting characters, we have our usual harem of super-badass, ultra-dedicated, huge-breasted females swarming around the hero. Shall I repeat... Boring?
- Story: 2/10
World with magic, kingdoms, beasts, demons, main character surrounds himself with tons of large-breasted allies, gets unexpected favors constantly and Deux Ex Machina every 3 episodes... Boring.
- Enjoyment: 5/10
Fully unplug your brain, and you may have some fun.
That's what I hoped, but on my part this little voice in my head "this is nonsense", "seen that... that too", "doesn't make sense at all" wouldn't be quiet, due to the very low quality of the story and characters.
Overall: 5/10
While watching these 24 episodes was a complete waste of time in terms of enrichment, discovering interesting stories and universes, it does offer some enjoyment and has a few, rare redeeming qualities, mostly fights.
Hence if your only alternative is to stare at a blank wall, you may prefer watching this anime. You may.
