Despite its own sense of humor, the anime has drawn criticism for its clumsy jokes and weak punchlines. Although the goal of the randomness comedy is to surprise the audience, it frequently produces a bizarre reaction rather than laughable results. Pop culture allusions are the only noteworthy aspects of comedy, but they are rare. The series is basically a communal meme show, with a terrible storyline and repeating puns. The outro with the deer video was the only thing that made me giggle.
Like many others, I have made it to ep 3 and find it like trying to climb up a hill. If I do finish the anime I ... will try and update if it got better or worse for me.

Personally, I feel there are way more downsides to this anime than upsides. Starting off with the downsides, the anime gives the impression the series will mainly focus on Aqua trying to track down and find who killed him in his past life as a doctor, but there has been no progress on it since the first episode; the farthest that idea has been reached is when Aqua DNA tests the director of 'I'll Go With Sweet Today, and after that nothing. I don't enjoy how most of the anime focuses on the sister trying to be an idol like Ai, since the whole point ... seemed to be a revenge plot, but it never expanded on that, making all the episodes feel like fillers. If you like idol groups and seeing behind the scenes of what it seems like to be an idol or an actor, go for it, but this anime feels very boring and almost like I'm watching a reality TV show rather than a cool revenge plot against a murderer from a past life.

The upsides to this anime are pretty simple: the graphics are really good, and each close-up scene is beautiful, but that's all I feel is good about it.

I have seen a few clips of the dub online and read a few things about this anime and I feel like it was over hyped. Ya the dubbed has funny voice lines and stuff but aside from that the "horror" aspect of it if pretty dull and is lacking, As soon as the characters get into trouble with a ghost/spirit they instantly solve it and then that seems to keep repeating though the entire episodes.

Overall it's pretty funny but dull, there was potential but I feel as if it was lost from how quickly the case gets solved though the episodes.

I love the story and the characters so much the Beginning of the book reels you in leaving you wanting more and more there are Funny, Sad and chaotic parts of the book and it does a great job of blending it all together! the gore in the book is also amazing too I wouldn't have expected something like that with all the Funny and Romantic aspects of it.

The art of Chainsaw Man is great it I would love to see this get its own anime some day because of the amazing art style and visuals such a book has.
