Watched this yesterday, mercifully sort, it's really shallow. not as smart as it thinks it is, by parodying the Iseki and vileness genres, but trying to play it straight, we've seen this story a million times done better. it barely qualifies as animation as its mostly static shots and "anime effects" like motion lines. its use of CG is atrocious. character designs are as bland as they can be.
There were a couple punchlines that made me chuckle. but if you've seen one Isekai vileness, and "One" aloof overpowered protagonist, you've seen this show done better. 4/10 because ...

produced by Netflix and CDPR using Trigger as a studio, pretty much one of the director's best.
Its stylish and moody and sexy and crazy like 90s ova brought to modern anime style.
Character designs by Little Witch Academia's Yoh Yoshinari, directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, and released as bingeable season on Netflix.
Great Visuals colorful, and dynamic but grounded in Cyberpunk's Neon 2077 Dystopic future, the story is perfect for the setting, avoiding many of Trigger's less loved work's failings. Music and voice is top notch, if this isn't a 10, I don't know what is.

I can't believe i live in a timeline, where this actually happened. Some crazy exces at Netflix threw a wad of cash to Yuasa, and asked him to do whatever he wanted, and in that, managed to adapt one of the seminal mangas, that inspired most major classic.

The influences of Devilman can not be understated, published in 1972, and later turned nto a water down tv anime, its been n inspiration on most modern authors.

from Hideki Ano, to Miura, every one of them have been touched by this story.
