I stumbled upon this gem on Reddit about a few hours ago and I was pretty hooked.

The story follows Yamori Kou, a run-of-the-mill nihilistic teen who stopped going to school because it was boring. He's pretty introverted in the beginning until he meets our second main character, Nanakusa Nazuna who tells Kou about the fun of "Night Walking." The two have fun throughout the night and it eventually gets to the point of Nazuna inviting Kou back to her house. Now, you might be thinking: "I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going" ... but no. Instead, Kou is alarmed when he sees that she sucked his blood. Surprised, she tells him that she is a vampire and that his blood tasted the best. With his newfound rebellion against sleep, Kou asks Nazuna to turn him into a vampire; the catch being you have to fall in love with the vampire that bit you to become one.

This story might sound like a cheesy run-of-the-mill romance about a vampire and a teen boy but it's really not. Each of the "arcs" are about different people encountering these two and them being taught the "art of Night Walking." It's a pretty relaxing manga all things considered, some of the characters I even wound up relating to. It's definitely a niche title, but give this one at least 5 chapters to see it's for you.

Overall: 7.5 or 8/10 - Not outstanding by any means but I will definitely read more

I've seen multiple reviews bashing the story of The God of High School, while I wholeheartedly agree that the story is pretty dogshit, I feel like a lot of people missed the point. I don't think the writer intended to make a good story here, I feel like the writer was trying to "Baki" it.

If you don't know what I mean by "Baki" it, I mean that the author knows that they can't write a great story but they can make great fighting scenes and maybe that's the point. It's not supposed to be some groundbreaking shonen with awesome action and captivating story, it just ... explores a niche that I feel Crunchyroll just promoted too much but who knows? I'm probably wrong but it's just my slice of cake. Enjoy the series, don't. Thanks for reading until the end.

Himegoto: Secret PRINCEss is a 2014 comedy anime about Hime Arikawa, a highschooler boy who is in overwhelming debt thanks to his parents' greed. One day, some of the debt collectors of Arikawa are beaten up by the Shimoshina Student Council, which consists of R18+-san, Unko-san, and a girl who's name I forgot. They make Arikawa join the Shimoshina Student Council and pay off all his debts on one condition; he has to spend the rest of his highschool days dressed up as a girl.

Now the "comedy" in this anime is really repetitive. Most of it consists of "look, he's a trap. haha get the ... joke? he has a dick, it is funny, now laugh." There was only one joke I chuckled at and it in itself is very lowbrow. The art is fine, it was probably a low-budget anime anyways. The voice-acting ranges from "ok" to "distracting", especially in R18+-san's case, her voice kind of distracts you because it's so differently recorded than the rest of the cast. The characters are really one-trick-ponies with one joke to their name. And the main character is really really dumb, especially at the ending of the series. Now, it's not a bad show (not too far from being bad though.) It's just why would you watch this? It's humor is repetitive, all the characters are one-sided, the audio is somewhat ok, and the art.. well the art is fine I guess. If you would ask me, no, I would not recommend it. (if that wasn't clearly obvious.)

Overall, it's not bad. Just extremely mediocre.
