A condition called love - the title should rather be named ,,a condition called toxic" because this is what this story is - toxic.
It begins with a boy, getting dumped and a girl, who doesn't understand others emotions. She helps the boy who got dumped which makes him apparently fall in love.
After she refuses his confession they can agree on dating/ becoming a couple until Christmas. And the toxic traits from both character starts.
Hananoi, the boy who is in love with the female protagonist, Hotaru, apparently has a dark past as why is character shows toxic traits. He gets jealous, overprotective, possessive
...
as far as ignoring her friends and deciding for others, whether they should stay in contact with her of not, here I want to quote his words ,,Stop adressing her as Hotako and stay away from her"
Hananoi gets so possessive, that he takes the same job as her to spend more time.
And Hotaru gets naively excited. Years ago she got somehow abused by a friend of her out of jealousy and uses Hananoi to cope with that. She tries to understand him and try to understand her own feelings towards him - love apparently.
This Anime had a lot of potential, sadly it doesn't turn out good. I can't tell, if Hananoi grows as a character, but after at arriving at episode 8 and seeing him getting worse, growing doesn't seem realistic.
The opening and ending show the lack of emotion in the anime.
The Art and the Color are well made in my eyes.
