Oh boy, where do I begin with this piece.

I don't typically write reviews for anime I watch, but once I finished this series, I knew I couldn't stay silent from this very "special" season.

The plot is one of the biggest turn offs of the season for any viewer to endure. No rhyme or rhythm, just plain mediocrity at every turn. Without spoiling anything, let me just say that you think the show is going one direction, but then it scraps that direction and aims for numerous others while not even trying to make itself seem organized in the process. For what it is, Your Lie in April is a bittersweet love story between two young musicians that benefits from a superb composition of vibrant animation, dramatic story telling, and a remarkable selection of classical music. To say that the show is a masterpiece is confirmed through how these elements of creativity synchronize with each other to present an aesthetically pleasing display of young love, aspirations, and tragedies.
