Both are comedic counterpart series to their respective parent series and have short episodes (approx. 5 mins) consisting of non-stop gags based on a "toon"/"chibi" style of animation. Note that the Brotherhood series is a collection of parodies of significant events pulled from the main story while the Suzumiya series is a compilation of short side stories set apart from the main story.

Although they are both mostly filler, there are plenty of funny moments fused with top-notch ecchi, and even some romantic moments that tug on your heartstrings a bit, all fueled by a fun, light-hearted cast of characters. The plot of both shows centers around a love triangle between the lead male character who is a high school loner, a female classmate who has been friends with the guy for a while, and a ditsy pink-haired girl whose alien background throws the main characters on hilarious adventures.
