I watched the entire key triology. Air, Kanon and Clannad.

Clannad is a slice of life anime which I found not too bad. A few parts made me cry while the rest wasn't too bad for me to like it. I gave it a chance.

Things I liked about clannad:

The art was great. Smooth animation but Nagisa's character design was quite awkward. But overall, the art was good.

Story wasn't too bad. The end of Fuko's arc made me cry just a bit but Kotomi's arc made me cry just a bit.

... Music. Do I even need to explain? Music by KEY and Kyoto Animation is always great.

Things I didn't like about clannad:

The comedy was just stale. It was kinda boring and it didn't make me laugh.

Nagisa, Ryo and Fuko. Nagisa was just plain irritating and annoying, so therefor. Ryo was irritating as she blushed mainly for no reason. Fuko was always mentioning the starfish which got annoying after a while.

After Fuko's arc, she just became a comic relief which I didn't like. At least she came back in clannad after story.

There was barely any romance. I just didn't see any.

But overall, clannad was a great series. If you're interested in slice of life anime, I suggest you watch clannad. I enjoyed it very well so I gave it a 9/10.

Overrated.

Back in 2011, I heard a lot of hype about Clannad AS. So I decided to watch it. Not only did it fail to meet my expectations, but crushed them and burned it into ashes. I was highly disappointed.

It was an anime that was meant to be slice of life, romance, drama and sadness. It was quite boring. Even the comedy is stale. Yes the Art is nice, yes the music's good but the characters, the story line was so plain. The only characters I liked were Kyo, Tomoyo and Kotomi. The opening was also bad: I didn't enjoy it. There was so many ... fillers, I thought it was pretty lame. I wanted more of a depressing, romantic anime which could've made me cry but the story was bad and I couldn't understand it, including the ending so therefore, 2/10.

I think Air is an amazing anime, much sadder than any other anime I've seen. It had good romance, a good story line and great characters so this anime for me is a 10/10 as it was the very first anime to make me cry. Back in 2013, I was depressed as hell due to all the bullying I was going through.

When I started watching it, the opening was one of the most beautiful openings I didn't skip. Not only did it reach my expectations, but it made it even better.

The characters were particularly memorable. Misuzu especially. She was one of the most unforgettable ... characters I've ever seen. The story line was very touching even though it's very short. I had to stop at episode 11 just because of the super sad episode. I continued at the final episode and the ending was just depressing.

I liked Air the most as it was more short, precise and watchable. Even though Air ended almost 10 years ago, I want to know about more of the characters like Kanna, Yukito and etc.
