Ok, I came into this anime hoping a lot. Yet somehow I feel bad after this. I wanted to write the review to express my thoughts.

Very First. The GRAPHICS IS ABSOLUTELY MIND EXPLODING. I CAN'T EXPRESS THE SHEER QUALITY OF THE GRAPHICS. O MY GOOD.

Well, that's it. But ...
The story is just straight up lacking. I know that it's supposed to show the distance that builds up between two lovers but why though?
The first part was amazing. You see a crazy amount of devotion passion and love to be able to wait for someone the entire night. I won't give Spoilers.
But what ... happened after that?
Huh?
The next parts didn't correspond to the first part.

Firstly we only get the story from the male side. Which I'm gonna say felt very stupid. It was like he constantly felt bad about not being with her but then didn't do much? Why?

If a middle schooler has the courage to do all that, What happened when you actually get older? You have a CELL PHONE man. INTERNET.
Next. Even if there was distance, it was still the same Country. Sure they could have met up atleast once a month.
I won't believe otherwise.

The last issue I have with the anime is the character of Takaki. Many argue he has a deep character development. I would say no. ABSOLUTELY NO. He can't even confess directly to the person he loved and kept on hurting himself. If he could have made a better move, things could have been different. How can you call a man who can't even make a confession a "strong character".


So, basically it's a story of Long Distance that failed. But that's not really heartbreaking. The heartbreaking part acc to me is that it's a Long Distance BADLY done.

The relation didn't happen cause they did pretty much nothing to make it happen. I don't have any Sympathy.
7/10 for me.
