Truly one of the most poignant, beautiful anime I have ever watched. I saw Violet Evergarden on Netflix and gave it a shot, only knowing that it was widely praised for its gorgeous animation. Underneath that is also a beautiful story about a girl learning the meaning of love and the emotional, powerful moments as she changes the lives of those she meets. Violet's character arc as she learns to comprehend emotion, searches for a new purpose in her life, and moves on from being a living weapon is so well-done in a relatively short amount of time. The first three episodes may not be ... the most interesting, but the episodes that will make you cry and smile make it very much worth it.

Black Clover has become one of my favorite manga from Weekly Shonen Jump. The fast pacing of the story makes the chapters great to read from week to week without feeling bogged down from slow pacing. The story itself is solid with a large cast of characters that get their moments of character development without feeling left out, countless references to European mythology, and a great MC in Asta and fantastic heroine in Noelle Silva. The art looks downright incredible at times and the paneling makes Black Clover very easy to read. Black Clover, despite being in a genre known for its action, has some ... of the best foreshadowing I've seen in manga with plot twists that keep readers on their toes. I highly recommend this manga to any potential readers who are fans of the shonen genre.

Black Clover has become one of my favorite series. I will admit, the beginning is rocky and the animation can be inconsistent.

However, the story itself is written well - great foreshadowing and well thought-out plot, lovable characters, and a solid female cast (a rarity in battle shonen). The teamwork-based battles allow for its large cast to remain relevant while adding a layer of complexity to fights, the important fight scenes are well-done, and there is plenty of comedy that makes Black Clover a very enjoyable watch. The females in the story, unlike many of its contemporaries, have their own arcs and active roles in the ... story. The MC Asta is a fun, energetic main character whose strong morality and goal of equality make him very likable. Noelle is a female heroine who gets plenty of character development and it is a joy to watch her grow as a person and as a mage throughout the story. And the Black Bulls as a whole are a fun, lovable bunch who truly convey the themes of friendship and bonds important to the shonen genre.

The Reincarnation Arc is one of the best story arcs I have seen among anime. The story is much more deep and intricate than it seems with many twists that are hinted at throughout the plot. Another bonus is that the anime has great openings songs with nice visuals that get you hyped for the episodes. Highlights include "Black Catcher", "Haruka Mirai", "Everlasting Shine", "Gamushara", "Black Rover", etc. Black Clover is a great series that deserves more love and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.
