In the late ‘90s, there was Sci Fi Channel in the UK, which I would indulge myself in watching various TV shows and now and then an "anime" would appear and would grab my attention; at that time I would have never believed that it would become my preferred medium of choice to watch over everything else.
Starting properly in the year 2003, I watched subbed anime and bought various DVDs; eventually, it led me to try Manga, going to Conventions in the UK, listening to Opening and Ending songs, purchasing Wallscrolls/Posters, Figures, Magazines and even Cosplaying. The anime medium as a whole hooked me; my friends and family were always supportive of what I was into, which is always a positive.
Since then I have noticed that I have cut back in my late thirties on collecting/attending and tend to prefer read/stream online; however, my playlists are always loaded with the latest OP/ED songs and I'll keep watching anime for long as a can!
Recently I have found interest in manga again, thanks to Domestic No Kanojo, Tonikawa & Kase-san. Now, it seems I've gone from Shoujo to Yuri.
