There are many weird and interesting characters in both. Also, there is nobody you could call the "bad guy"(although you will probably root for the protagonists). There are a couple of different groups and each of the groups has a different goal

Both are about short Japanese horror stories. Although i think most of these stories are not really that scary but tragic. Medicine Seller appears in the last 3 episodes of Ayakashi.

A certain number of chosen people is forced to play a survival game. The key item of the game is a person's mobile phone. In "Future diary" a phone of each participant is given a certain ability while in the "Higashi no Eden" participants have an almost unlimited number of cash on their phones which they can use any way they see fit.

These two share 2 huge similarities : 1) when watching it, you should skip the first episode because the first episode takes place in the present and then, from the second episode, you go back to the past to see the events that preceded and lead to the current situation so this first episodes could be considered (massive) spoilers and ruin the experience for the watcher 2) revenge and betrayal play an important role in both

Many people consider "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" an "Attack on Titan" clone and this fact speaks for itself. Whether you agree or disagree with this, i think "Kabaneri" is still a very good anime.

Shigurui

Although "Shigurui" does not have people with supernatural abilities, these two have a lot in common. The first thing you would notice they share is that they both involve samurai. They are set in approximately same historic period (sorry if this is a mistake) where strength and honor are respected above all other things. There is not much dialogue and are no jokes or comic situations. But there is a lot of blood, occasional scenes with mild nudity and a lot of brutal deaths.

The plot is set during the prohibition era and focuses on the lives of various mafia groups during that period. The only noticeable difference between these two is that "91 days" does not have any supernatural elements in it.

Both are the epitome of "don't judge a book by its cover". Don't let the cute (and even childish) design of characters fool you !

Both are very good mysteries with a lot of gruesome deaths. With each episode, we slowly learn more about why certain things are happening and how to prevent them.

Sweet Home

They are made by the same author. Both are very good horrors filled with tension, Bastard is more of a psychological horror though. Sweet home, unlike Bastard, doesn't have almost any romance in it but each of them has likable and (pretty much) realistic characters that you can sympathize with.

Claymore
add

Both series are dark, cruel, with little to no anime cliches and set in medieval times. They also provide a vast variety of cool and interesting characters, both humans and monsters. I find the monsters especially intriguing because every monster has it's own unique appearance and i just very like and respect the amount of creativity put into them. If you like to see great battles, neither of this series will disappoint you. Many of these battle will be a "life or death" situation and not everyone will survive by using the power of friendship or something like that. The story of Claymore is more simple when compared to the other (Berserk's story is longer, more complex and tends to be philosophical at some points) but i think both of them will keep you hooked until you finish them. Revenge also plays an important in both of them, so if you are into that kind of stuff, you have another reason to watch them.
