Well... this was something
This movie doesn't follow the original Eureka Seven story, it's a different timeline... maybe, it's not very clear, but it is implied that this is the same timeline since at one scene you see the moon with Eureka and Renton's names engraved on it from the last episode of the original series, so these aren't the same characters yet have similar traits and (somewhat) similar personalities, okay i can get behind that, but with not having the setup and character developments from the original series, you get a movie that tries to speedrun what could have been a 12 episode of an
...
alternative story of the original series into a 2 hours movie, so these characters aren't very likeable, even thought the Gekkostate crew are the sympathetic evil characters in this timeline, i didn't care for them that much, and not to mention the story isn't very good, it feels at points like a fanfiction that got adapted into an anime.
They re-use a lot of animation from the original series, it comes off as lazy when you use them to tell a completely different story, but i didn't mind it as much since you can see it with full screen resolution here unlike in the original series, still very noticeable, the new animation is also good, this is an all around good looking movie.
Overall this movie is fine, if you want to see Eureka and Renton be cute together then you will enjoy it, but don't expect much as story.

The word "overrated" comes a lot in discussions about Demon Slayer, but that mainly comes from people who have hundreds of animes/mangas under their belt and have seen tons of stories that are similar to Demon Slayer, not to say they're not justified to think this way, there are a lot of better stories with bigger impact, but Demon Slayer succeeds in just being a consistently fun ride.
Story
The story is nothing you haven't seen in your typical Shounen fair, it kept my interest with the monster-of-the-week-formula while also having some mystery aspects about the demons, Nezuko's nature and Muzan. the fights
...
are predictable but near the ending, the story isn't afraid to kill characters at any time so it makes you anticipated to see who's gonna survive and who isn't. the story also loves to show flashbacks in the middle of fights and while they are good at showing you why these people are fighting demons or how the demons came to become the way they are, they take too long sometimes and not all of them are very interesting, although they definitely have really good backstories like with Akaze and Daki and Gyutaro.
Art
The manga looks pretty good i especially like the character designs and the panel composition is also good, at times though i can't really tell what's going on when action in happening, it's definitely one of those stories that are better animated or when they have colored panels.
Character
Most of the characters in Demon Slayer have one trait and that's their character, the thing about this story is that they hammer this trait too much, that's not to say they are bad characters they are fun to see them mess around together, but they aren't deep characters, Tanjiro is arguably the best one, he's very sympathetic twords the enemy even thought he doesn't stand for people getting hurt, you wouldn't see him rubbing his victory in the demons faces, the kind of guy that when he stabs you it hurts him as much as it hurts you,i like him more than most Shounen protagonists who'd take revenge with cold blood if they were in his place, Nezuko is cute and has funny moments and she's cool when she fights although i was disappointed a bit to not see her fight at the final battle,Zenitsu can be very annoying but i liked his story with his grandfather, and Inosuke is likeable and very funny without being annoying, i also like the pillars especially Giyu, Shinobu and Muichiro, and like i mentioned before Akaze and Daki and Gyutaro are also good.
Muzan was somewhat disappointing, he had my interest from the start, i mean when just mentioning his name makes everyone scared, even all these strong demons are scared of him, he's gotta be a big deal, right? however by the end of the story when the final fight happens, he just stands there and swings his baldes at them while they all stall him, i get that he's weak from the poison, but still this is the guy that everyone is scared of? it was kinda anti-climactic
Overall
Demon Slayer is fun, it has it's shotcomings especially in the story and character departments but that doesn't hinder the enjoyment of the manga, i would however recommand the anime over the manga cuz the action scenes in the anime can mask the weak plot, but regardless it's a fun read.

This is just adorable.
Not much I can say here honestly if you liked the original series you'll like this one too since it's basically episode 13 and it's as good as the original series, it was kinda nice to hear the opening and the ending songs after watching the original series last year it made me realize how much I missed this show
I would say that I expected a small improvement in animation since it's just one episode and the original series didn't have great animation(or rather didn't have scenes that require impressive animation), but that's fine this anime's enjoyment comes from Nasa and

This is a case of a manga that had potential but needed more time to be fleshed out, it seems that this got axed because by the second half of the story it was rushing to the end with a lot of moments that needed more build-up to be impactful, however, while the ending wasn't great, I think this is overall a fun read especially since it's a short read with only 23 chapters, it has good moments and good art with good shot composition and I think that makes it worth reading even if the ending isn't great, but at least it's not outright

awful or anything.
If you wanted something like Toradora or Golden Time this might've been like them if it had more time in the oven, but for what it is now you're not gonna find it here, but you might like what you read.
