Well, im about to finish fate/apocrypha and its horrible. I didn't read the visual novels or the games and after every chapter I had to go to the comment section of the chapter to understand it but still a lot of bullshit happened. After 24 chapters and I only watched it kind of like a routine and to kind of numb my brain, since I had this hope that maybe It will get better. It didn't.
First:The protagonist.Sieg is the asspull of the asppullers of the entire FUCKING FATE SERIES EVER. You start that somehow he can become a servant and be Siegfried but

have the mind of Sieg while doing so when he uses one of the command seal and I don't remember when but he became a master since he haves magic? So, he basically is a servant and a master. Then Jeanne falls in love with him and the love story...I just hate It. At this point I can even argue that Twilight is a better love story..FUCKING TWILIGHT. In the last episode I watched after chapters Jeanne explaining over and over again that he shouldn't use all the command seals because of health? He uses all of the them to fight Karna and then he fights Shirou Kotomine(which later on will explain why he is the second asspuller of the show), haves the powers of Fran. You remember Fran, the frankestain monster chick(when I first learned about her I wasn't bothered because her story seemed to be similar of the novel which I read but with him being a she so I accepted the bullshit) out of literally thin air. I read the fucking comment section and they were mixed comments saying it was FORESHADOWED(someone who watched the series, please explain where this happened?Because, where?) and others admitting that It had a reason but the series explained poorly. For last my last rant regarding Sieg is that he is so bland. I bet if I was in a room with him and wet pain, I will literally watch wet paint because at least I will be entertained in the suspense of when it's going to dry. My mayor problem with him, is that since he was born literally yesterday he doesn't have much of a personality, which is understandable. But, then why? WHY MAKE SIEG THE MOST BORING AND BLANDEST FUCKING CHARACTER OF THE WHOLE SHOW BE THE PROTAGONIST? Its like making Rei the protagonist of Evangelion and getting rid of the tripi scenes.
Second: Shirou Kotomine. The guy eliminates all the rest of team red masters and is a ruler too. This guy...he wants to the salvation of humanity and wants to win the holy grail to do so. And his motivation is about some massacre he survived and something something. I just don't care. He is kinda like the antagonist who you want to support since he is kinda right but the thing about it, is after watching his plan play out, I still don't understand. Maybe creating heaven to all humanity? Since there would no death and everybody would be together but still, not clear. I don't understand the guy, nor do I care. Because truthfully the first time in an anime I can say I don't care about anyone. Maybe Mordred and the necromancer, because at least there were cool and she became less annoying while another character, Astolfo the trap,became the most annoying who yelled MASTER every time Sieg was kinda in trouble. Shirou is weird and I bet all the money of world that the author was a lazy motherfucker and just created this character just so Jeanne would clash with her. I would have loved to hear about the other masters and seen there motivations or something, but no. We got him.
Third:Jeanne of arc. Lets grab an actual female warrior of history and just massacre everything about her. Part of my criticism stems of the love story and her general blandness. It seems the author grabbed this center theme called human salvation and just shoved her to confront other characters and change its definition depending who she is fighting. What makes me angry is that she is pure waste. I can't even...I just loved the concept of her being there and maybe confronting against how unhumanly is the Holy Grail War while being the arbiter and just that. Knowing that she dragged men to battle and die, for her cause. But no, we got a waste of space.
Fourth: Everything else is bad. Music, bad. Direction,bad. Animation, bad. Writing, god awful bad.After 24 chapters I just want it to end. I will watch the finale since I got here to still. Who fucking said "lets make this series 25 chapters long"? I will murder his or hers ass. I had hope and now I'm crushed in the stupidity of believing. I loved Fate/zero and It holds a special place in my heart since It was the second or third series I watched, but I'm done. I watched every series of fate hoping that maybe it will be better but now I'm broken. FUCK YOU A1 PICTURES. The series had an interesting and different theme to explored called salvation but now...I just don't care. FUCK YOU FATE FRANCHISE. I'm done :)
