When I heard a star wars anime was announced, I was very excited. I have always liked star wars and thought this would be great. firstly, ill give it a few overall scores for the episodes, then an in-depth at each episode.

story:6.5
none of them had a "bad story", but none of them were great. Some of them were also very loose with the lore of star wars, but it didn't really affect the overall story very much. also, many left off with a cliffhanger, some of which were good and some of which were bad.

Art+sound: easy 10/10
Both the art and sound were amazing, no major ... complaints here. the only real thing i disliked was that most of the music didn't really give me star wars vibes, but they were still good nonetheless.

Character: 6
none were particularly bad, but most didn't really stick out.

enjoyment: again, easy 10
i enjoyed every moment of it and definitely hope for a s2

overall: a mid 8


Now ill go into each episode:

1:7.5
everything was pretty good but nothing stuck out. The animaition was weird and not my favorite, but still pretty good. i also like the fight.

2:6.9
easily the worst episode. most of this episode was boring, and the climax at the end with jabba the hutt seems out of character. this one had decent characters tho. however, this one seemed like it could fit in literally any other world.

3:8.4
the animation was extra good. the fight was very nice as well, with meh characters and story. this one felt especially "trigger" with the suit.

4:8.2
wasn't very memorable but had cool scenes and music, with some cool characters and story to back it up.

5: 8.6
my favorite out of all of them. i liked the characters in this the most. although definitely not canon, the lightsabers being the color of your will was cool. also had a very nice fight scene.

6:8.5
i thought i would hate this one because of the art style and the weird-looking robot, but it was actually quite cool and i enjoyed the ending. The fight was great as well. the art style definitely hit the more childish personality of to-b1 and his goals. if im correct, canonically droids cant use the force so that was weird but still pretty cool.

7: 7.5
i honestly didn't enjoy this one that much. the elder died in no time and was just kinda boring. the characters in this one were nice tho.

8:8.2
cool story and characters, and a decent fight. this actually reminded me of the history of japan, with some wanting to industrialize and some wanting to keep their traditions.

i was confused with this one at times. it kinda just felt there. Seeing a Jedi go sith was cool tho.

overall, some of them were disappointing but many of them were great.
I would definitly reccomend watching for a star wars fan.

This show obviously has taken inspiration from much different anime. It uses most of the shonen tropes but also does a few of its own things. Its not too long, so if it seems interesting i would give it an hour or two of your time.

The story has a few twists and turns, feeling slower at times and too fast at others. However, its writing is decent when you look at the whole picture.
What really stood out to me about this show was its art. It had solid animation all around, and very good animation during fights. The only other show I've seen david ... productions do was jojo, but i thought this had better animation (Although that makes sense. Jojo had more episodes per season, and fewer scenes to show effects like fire)
Sound was pretty good. I liked op1 and ed1 a lot, although the second ones disappointed me. Battle music and such was also decent.
The characters were also pretty good. Most had some sort of backstory. and they were all written pretty well. I wish we god more backstory for some characters tho.

personally, i enjoyed it pretty well, and although i wouldn't considered it new age top shonen, if you want a decent, short shonen that isn't super super mainstream then i would check this out.

Note that I've watched this movie twice, and here are my final opinions. My first watch was at home, with an average quality monitor and speakers, and my second watch was at the theaters.

I'm mainly going to comment on story and sound, as art and character are just as good as the show, if not better.

The story is alright, but definitely not as good as the arcs we saw in the anime. Additionally (at least from what I understand)They didn't even adapt the ending of the arc. However, there are definitely some meaningful and emotional parts of the movie. There is a certain thing that ... happens about 2/3rds into the movie that feels strangely placed, though its outcome was definitely important.

Art was great, just as beautiful as the original. Not to mention that the CGI that was used was definitely above average(Especially in the theater, you could really make out and appreciate all the detail into it).

The sound was very mixed. Honestly, i felt that it was pretty badly mixed with the volume of the music and such when watching it at home, but in theaters, it was mixed exceptionally well, with loud (but not overpowering) music. Obviously has the same great voice actors

Characters were typical for demon slayer, great as always. Also left room for some character development in the future.

Enjoyment was a 9, great as always.

Overall I would give it a 9l, and would highly recommend watching it in theaters if possible instead of waiting for the online release.
