GE: Good Ending
add

Any Good Ending readers who were fans of Shou and Seiji like me would probably like Baby Steps. While reading Good Ending, I kept thinking of Eiichirou and Natsu from Baby Steps since they not only look alike, but also have similar personalities and circumstances. Although, Baby Steps is a much longer Sports manga that focuses on their tennis and barely has any drama in it, it's still a good read for said fans...for obvious reasons once you've read both...

Haikyuu!!
add

If I were to describe Haikyuu!! in a single sentence to a friend, I'd call it the One Piece of Sports anime. Everyone knows One Piece. One Piece is an action anime that revolves around a no-name pirate who dreams big, makes an impact will not falter in his goal, has friends/crewmates who argue and get into funny situations (and pull hilarious faces) and much more in a epic story with some rivals and villains that you can't help but love because each character is so unique. And that also describes Haikyuu!! pretty well, too. Just replace "action" with "volleyball", "no-name pirate" with "short guy who can jump" and "crewmates" with "teammates". (And take out villains.)

Cross Account
add

The concept and relationship between the 2 MC's of Cross Account reminds me heavily of Yuu and Koyuki early on in Fuuka. The guy is a nobody with a popular Twitter (or Twitter-like) account and the girl is a popular idol/actress (Cross Account) /singer (Koyuki from Fuuka). The guy even has another girl in real life hanging off his shoulders in both. The key difference is that while Cross Account has them form a friendship over the manga's version of Twitter, Koyuki and Yuu were already childhood friends who found each other once again through Twitter. Also, Fuuka's already well past that point and it's obvious which girl the guy ends up with while Cross Account is still new. But still, I think Fuuka fans who preferred Koyuki over the titular character might enjoy Cross Account. It depends on your view of Otaku's...

Fuuka

Both follow the same principal of following up on a deceased love interest's dreams. Hell, the deceased LI and MC in both manga were born on the same day. But Fuuka is more dramatic and is about music while Cross Game is more of a simple RomCom and about baseball. But in my mind, both are masterpieces that should not be overlooked.

Persona 4 the Animation
add

On the surface, not a lot of people will see the similarities. The premise for each are completely different. But one simple truth connects the two. If your looking for a high school anime with tons of high school antics, laughs and even some action thrown in, none could be better than these two anime. If you like one, I'm sure you'll like the other.

Nisekoi:
add

Nisekoi and To Love-Ru are popular harem/ecchi Jump manga with successful first seasons. If you like one, you'll like the other. Both second seasons, though, are shorter, more comedy-centric and feel like a drop in quality compared to their respective first seasons. I'd still recommend both if you enjoy harems, ecchi and all that, though.

Itazura na Kiss
add

Both are very similar in a lot of ways. Both anime are kinda light hearted and rather silly/funny and feature a one-on-one romance about a girl chasing a guy, getting rejected and still chases him, despite the guy being unable to convey his feelings properly. If you liked one, you'll definitely like the other.

Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
add

When I first heard about Inou Battle, I was told it was like another anime. But watching the characters reminded me more of Baka and Test. Both shows feature a love triangle in which a flat chested, tsundere girl and an air-headed girl with a decent-sized (Inou Battle) or massive (Baka and Test) chest pine over the main character, who acts like an idiot in one and is an idiot in the other. Both shows also feature some form of supernatural combat.

Clannad: After Story
add

If you think Clannad: After Story is too emotional for you, but love the story, then watch Itazura na Kiss. While there are a lot of anime that revolve around the relationship between 2 people or even explore the relationship, these are the only 2 anime I've ever seen take a simple relationship so far. The big difference is that Itazura na Kiss is incredibly light hearted.
