"If there was world, where simple games decided everything? What would you think about that?"
I could compare this to 'Sword Art Online' or all the of the other 'game' anime but to be honest this my first 'game' anime. So i'll leave the story for last.
Art ~ would be a '9' for me.
If I could say one thing about this anime, it has a beautiful art style and a big color palette, kind of like a pastel coloring. I could at the very least say that one of the strong points of the anime is the art direction.
Sound ~ is a solid '8'.
It's
...
nothing special, I didn't really feel the overall sound of the anime affected too much of one scene but it doesn't leave the scene feeling lackluster too. The OP and ED are the ones that stand out, I love the ED.
Character ~ 's get a '7' for me.
The characters aren't really on the 'groundbreaking' scale, they're very average and that's how I think they want you to feel. Average people experience extraordinary adventures. Though the 'brother and sister' relationship is pushing their limits, although they mostly do those weird stuff to win theirs games. Although I feel Sora and Shiro can get away with it because I really can feel how close they are to each other. Their names match too, 'White Sky', how lovely.
Story ~ I'm not familiar with this genre of anime but I'll give it a '8'
A story about a game intrigues me as we all enjoy playing a game once in a while. I thought the idea of a world where you end conflicts over games instead of war, death, etc ... was a great idea. That's where the idea of "Have you ever felt like you we're born on the wrong world?" we all have felt this once in our lives.
Enjoyment ~ I enjoyed this for my first 'game' anime' so it get's a '8'.
From the anime I watch, I enjoy it when they try to challenge your mind. Try to predict might what happen. Though this is shattered by the almighty 'Blank never loses.' It kind of removes the unpredictable outcome but I still have fun on how they achieve their victory.
Overall ~ , it's a '8'.
The show successfully piques the interest of the concept of a 'game world.' An anime which I enjoyed to the end, made me laugh like a madman in a madhouse. The fights are very creative, games that are original. This anime is bursting with charisma and a pinch of creativity, paired with amazing visuals that could be compared to a framed picture.
I just hope MADHOUSE adapt's a second season, I wanna see them battle their way to the top and beat Tet. I guess the anime achieved what it wanted from me, longing for a conclusion.
After watching this I still want more, 12 episodes felt too short for me, I still felt the need for more. I definitely recommend watching this anime if you're interested in a 'game' anime that is captivating and immerse.
