What I liked:
- The first episode is mostly phenomenal. A few hiccups here and there, but as an adaptation of the manga, there was only so much that could be done. The supernatural elements kept me glued to the screen, while the reality of the world both made it a bit more tame, but digestible.
- Cool step into the idol and entertainment industries - felt similar to the feelings I got while watching Shirobako, in a way that I was learning about industries I consume from and what makes them that way.

I was pretty astonished by this season! The slow, yet enjoyable pace of the first two seasons were pleasant. I know the ride I signed up for and had a great time doing so. We got plenty of developments this time around, and the episodes felt a little bit more like movies. So many things happened; twists and turns throughout the whole season, and the pay-off overall felt rewarding, deserved, and satisfying. The music - incredible. Felt like a 2010s anime aimed towards the youth. As an older watcher (nearing 30!), most of the humor felt pretty generic and regurgitated from the 'norm' of comedy anime. Virgin jokes, shock humor, over-the-top anger, lewd jokes, etc. If that's your thing, go and enjoy, no hate. For me, I've gone through waves of these types of content so they make me roll my eyes at this point.
It was a cute concept, and the first episode had me pretty interested, but I feel as if it dropped the ball pretty hard. The antlers-door shattering joke was great and kept me hook alongside the interesting ... Jul 8, 2024

A perfect introduction to what the fantasy genre should strive for imo. Pretty unique story set up that stays very self-contained, no isekai shenanigans, and stays very true to it's time and roots. Art style hits a great balance between commercially good, with enough variance to have a very pretty artistic side. It was super pleasant to look at and watch - and the OST fit the anime very appropriately.
One of my favorite things is when there is little to no fanservice! Let's go!!! I can recommend it to so many more types of people!!! The first 10 episodes are peak btw |
