Both have Over powered MCs hilariously failing to control some situations leading to laughter riots. The MC monologues give the same vibe in both the shows. The sense of humous is kind of same in both cases. Both the shows are high on entertainment value.

...then you might like Ao Ashi add

The mc is very similar in both the mangas. From character design to height personality and traits. Even the weaknesses are also kind of same like lack of raw power, just average techniques, relying only on instincts etc. Both manga try to deal with realistic scenarios rather than giving the characters crazy superpowers. So haikyuu is the volley ball version of ao ashi there are some differences in aspects of storyline but the essence of the mangas are quite same.

...then you might like Shinai naru Boku e Satsui wo Komete add

Both have the same underlying plot of being the son of a serial killer. Although the artstyle is different but both don't shy away from showing violence and grotesque scenes. There is more than enough thrill to keep the reader engaged.
