Let me begin with this; this is an anime that was so amazing I marathoned it in the course of a single day, only getting up once throughout the entirety. Very few shows have managed to do this, and the fact that it was able to is a tell to how entertaining this show is. If I can say anything at all, it was entertaining.
For one, I began watching this because I saw the art. I usually only watch shows if I like the art, and this show did not disappoint. The art is polished and immaculate. The animation is fluid, and you can feel
...
the action playing out.
The story- without giving anything away, is probably the weakest part of the show, but is still great. It gets emotional enough to pull tears from some, though I'll be frank- the only one that managed to for me was episode 10. I balled like a baby.
The sound direction sets the tone quite effectively. Sometimes you forget it's there because of how well it fits in.
I would say this is one of the best anime I've seen.

Maddie Manga strikes again by showing me another bad anime. This has just taken place as my least favorite anime I've seen to date. There's hardly anything to spoil beings it's just the generic "Mario saves the princess but gets friendzoned" storyline. That story alone would be fine, if they hadn't done it so poorly..
For one, they made everyone jerks. Literally. When your most likable character is your villain, you really bunked up on your protagonists.
I'm not kidding. Bowser is the most likable character in this trainwreck. He seems to legitimately love Peach and want to marry her, and while yeah he kidnapped her
...
and that's not okay, everyone else are straight up HORRIBLE PEOPLE or have no character to speak of.
Second, HOW DO YOU MESS UP LUIGI'S COLORS THAT BADLY?!
Another thing, what was with the weird music? I mean some of the songs were catchy but they don't fit in this at all, just use the traditional Mario soundtracks, we know they were able to because some of them were in this.
Also, the ending. Oh my GOD the ending. It's the worst thing.
The dog... THE DOG CATERPILLAR THING... GOT THE GIRL.
I'm done with this fever dream.

Everyone says this will make you cry. Well, I didn't, but it takes a lot to get me to cry so that's expected.
A little background of me- I personally want to learn sign language. I don't know anyone deaf, but the few people who I have met here and there seem kind, and I want to interact with them.
Anyways, onto the actual review.
An all too familiar tale of bullying is how this starts out, but for once it actually makes sense. There's a reason the main character is getting bullied-- she's deaf. An actual handicap made watching her struggles more powerful, than the usual "You're
...
ugly ew" that many bullying stories entail.
The other main character, I'll call him Sho-Sho because Maria is a doll and I love her, bullies Sho to a point of her transferring. He sees what he did was wrong, feels sorry for himself, but tried to make ammends.
I really like how the two main character's handle their stuggles and relationship. I actually like all the characters in this, except for Naoka.
She just seems unrealistically cruel. She was, in my opinion, the only 'bad' character who I didn't like by the end.
Art and animation is stellar, the soundtrack was nice though I likely won't seek it out for further listening, most of the characters were good, and I really enjoyed this show. I'd reccomend this to pretty much anyone.

This is I believe the fourth anime I ever watched? I've seen it a few times since the initial viewing, and I swear it just gets worse and worse everytime you watch it.
First of all, the sound is meh, the animation is pretty bad, and the story is mediocre at best and has been done much better in better shows.
Honestly there isn't much to talk about other than characters.
For one, I hate Nina. I don't care that she's 12, she's whiney, annoying, stupid, and never shuts up. She also gets herself into so much trouble constantly. She's also selfish and a bad role model. All
...
of this is a shame, because I actually think she has a cute design...
Zero is okay. In the english dub (the one I watched) he was voiced by one of my favorite voice actors Eric Vale, and he did a really nice job for what he was working with, but it is grading on your ears after a while.
Ichi is, forgettable. He's considered by many to be the most likeable character, but I hardly remember him and his backstory.
The cousins were cute and I did really like them.
That's kinda it...
I'd suggest this if you're really little, or if you wanna show this to some smaller kids, but I don't see many full grown adults getting enjoyment out of this. Watch Fruits Basket instead.

Soul Eater was one of the first 'real anime' animes I remember watching (Pokémon dubbed by 4Kids and Hamtaro I refuse to count) and this is still the longest anime I've seen at this point in time. So how do I feel about it?
Well, the story is pretty good. It's about teenagers going to a high school, but with a wacky twist besause normal is boring. People can turn into weapons and people are trained to fight and are sent on missions wow!
That's grossly over simplyfying the plot, but that's what I remember of it.
Animation and music are both pretty okay. The animation rarely has
...
errors and is very polished, so if you like that art style you'll likely be pleased, and the sound is pretty good, both of its openings and all pf the ending songs are still really good as well.
Now, what I REALLY wanna talk about... Characters.
Soul is fine, I liked him a lot when I first watched the show, but with my more recent revisiting he fell to just an okay characters. Characters like him are very common in anime, and once you see it so many times it wears off.
Death the Kid could almost be the comic relief just because he has a thing for symmetry, but otherwise he's a pretty serious character. He's become one of my favorites more recently, because I crack up when he goes into his comic-releif mode.
Patty and Elizabeth who I keep calling Sue for some reason even though that's literally not their name. They're okay I guess, I never cared about them or their backstory much honestly, though I do like Elizabeth a bit more and think she's a good sister.
Tsubaki is my favorite character. She had a surprisingly good backstory, and is also really well designed. Not much to say other than that though.
Black Star used to be my least favorite character but over time he's become my second favorite. I'd say he's the more comic relief of the group, getting into trouble and screaming "I'M BLACKSTAR" while doing something probably stupid. I really enjoy his character now, and can appreciate him.
Now you may be thinking, aren't you forgetting someone? Ohhhh no, I saved the best (or worst) for last... Maka.
I, really don't like Maka. She is BY FAR my least favorite character in this anime, and is tied with Nina from Save me Lolipop as my least favorite anime character OF ALL TIME.
For one, she is whiney. Yes her dad was a cheat, but you know what? She's lucky that her dad loves her and cared for her so much, but she won't let the past go! But, I could accept if she only pointed her rage at her dad, but NOPE! In the FIRST EPISODE she thinks her partner Soul is going to leave her and starts complaining about how all men are pigs or something. She's like a whiney feminist, and I despise her for it.
Other than those faults, she's a Mary sue. Smart, able to lead, good at fighting, what's her bad quailies again? Oh, she's a feminist. Okay.
Over all I'd suggest this anime to anyone who likes action and a unique art style.

Free!! Aka female fanservice, the anime.
I'll be honest, I mainly just watched this for hot boys in swim suits, and oh man did I get that in spades.
Now to the actual review
Free!! Is an anime about boys swimming. Simple enough, right? WRONG.
There's surprisingly a lot of drama in this anime. The main drama is with Haru and Rin, because they have this fued about who's best at swimming or something. It went from a friendly rivalry to at least Rin being legitimately upset and borderline hostile toward Haru. Cat fight, amrite ladies?... I'm sorry.
The animation is really pretty, and the soundtrack ain't too bad
...
either, so that definitely helps.
Where this anime shines is its characters. Personally Rin is my favorite because he's a shark boy but that's just me.
I honestly don't have much to say about this first season, it's pretty good but the main plot is boys swimming. I'm not quite sure what else to say.
I'd reccomend this to anyone who likes sports anime, or anyone who wants some hot anime boys in tight swim gear

**I have never played the game this was based on, therefor I will not be comparing it to the game.
It's okay. This short OVA that takes place before the main 'series' 'Corpse Party; Tortured Souls' is just okay. It's nice to kinda have a bit more insite to the characters and their relationships prior to the events of the main 'series', this just kind of bored me. It's fine as a short prequel, but they could have made it a little more interesting in my opinion.
The story is just them going about their mundane lives, which is fine and well, but honestly, was rhis even
...
needed? Yeah we get the insite of their relationships, but the subtle hints in the main 'series' does that well enough.
...At least have Seiko and Naomi bone amirite?

Angel Beats! Is an anime I was fairly excited to watch going in. The pretty animation, the beautiful opening song, and the strong visual designs of the characters all appealed me to watch the show, but does it hold up story and character wise?
Pretty animation and sound cannot save an anime if it's truly bad *cough cough* SAO *cough cough*
But thankfully, this anime didn't really need good animation and sound to be decent, it's just the bonuses that make it, well, good.
The story is simple enough, kids who died before being able to be content with their lives get sent to a purgetory type place
...
where they must fulfil their goal before leaving. That's about it honestly.
Each character has their own backstory, but too be fair, they're not too great mostly, many of them being overused. Girl's siblings tragically killed? Seen it. Guy has a crappy life until something turns it around but he dies tragically? Meh. Sick girl gets a heart transplant? Okay.
Unfortunately, these were pretty average indavidual back stories, and the side characters were honestly more interesting...
Characters were nice, I liked the comedy and that's what kinda saved this show for me. If the characters weren't good, this would just get a 5/10.
Overall, I'd suggest this show to people not looking for a super deep plot.

Sword Art Online is one of the most popular anime of the 2010s, but for the wrong reasons.
I'm gonna be fully honest, I loved this anime.
...For the first 8 or so episodes.
First of all, story.
It has a promising premise of people trapped in a video game, with the stipulation of "IF YOU DIE IN THE GAME YOU DIE FOR REAL". I liked this idea, but it just wasn't done correctly. From the lack of a good motivation for the villain, to the way the problem gets resolved, and the worst offense, that the suspense of the death game became meaningless by like, episode 6, this
...
is executed poorly.
Characters.
They're bad. Like, REALLY BAD.
Kirito could have been an interesting protagonist. The setup wasn't that bad, he was a teenager who really liked video games and also beta tested for SAO, and had some extra knowledge of the game due to that. But, of course, all of that was wasted.
Instead of doing something new or interesting with that, they made him super, unrealistically OP. I wouldn't mind if he was just a bit more powerful, but he is pretty much god tier OP.
He also has the personality of a wet sock.
Some edgy, bruting kid who got upset because his friends died. Wait, wasn't he gonna solo the game BEFORE he met the Black Cats?... Maybe he was always an ass.
It's honestly hard to describe Kirito, because other than him being 'emo', what personality traits does he have?
Asuna.
Everybody's waifu. I really didn't like her...
While she was developed more, I thought she was still a very simple 'strong independent woman' character, but then they flipped it and made her a damsel...? In either form, I disliked how simple she was. She just didn't do anything for me.
All of the othher characters were bland. Except Klien he was okay.
Art and Music
THE ONLY THING THIS ANIME DID WELL.
Art is very polished, and the music was nice. I think these were done well, but that cannot save this anime.
Overall, I would reccomend this anime if you're looking for some mindless action. If you want good plot or strong characters, I'd search elsewhere.

Cute cat girls!
A short OVA about some cute cat girls, what could go wrong? Not much as I found while watching this.
Now, the plot is pretty loose, just about Chocola and Vanilla wanting to live with their 'master' who just moved into a bakery or something, he says no, they convince him, but of wait they gotta get their bells or something...
Yeah, it's not too plot heavy, but I wasn't expecting it to be, so it's fine.
The more important part of this anime is the characters and their designs. Now, I think they're all adorable, though I'm partial to Cinnamon and Vanilla myself. They all
...
look different, and cute, and I really think this is just visually appealing.
There isn't much to say, this is a short 50 minute OVA with minimal plot. I'd reccomend it, if only for the cute cat girls.
