The Hero Academy from MHA reminds me A LOT of a more light hearted version of the Hunter Exams of HxH.

Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho
|
Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter are both by Yoshihiro Togashi. The two series also have a decent amount in common as well. Parts of the Genkai's Successor arc were revamped for the Hunter Exam arc and lots of character designs from YYH were revamped for new characters in HxH. The big difference though is that while Yu Yu Hakusho is primarily just a typical battle manga, Hunter x Hunter is a deconstruction of battle manga.

Beelzebub definitely took a bit of inspiration from Yu Yu Hakusho. The big difference is that Beelzebub is primarily a comedy manga, and Yu Yu Hakusho is primarily a battle manga. Both have similar delinquent characters thrust into the dealings of the demon world which are portrayed very similar in each.

Beelzebub and Gintama are very similar as they are both gag manga yet have a battle manga aesthetic. Beelzebub is a bit more down to earth than Gintama is though. Both are absolutely hilarious.

Both Nanatsu no Taizai and Dragon Ball are similar in that they are both fun adventure/battle manga that don't take themselves too seriously but can still pack an emotional punch when it needs too and are mainly about adventure. The art in Nanatsu no Taizai is also very Toriyama esque.

Both Magi and One Piece are adventure/battle series with a very strong emphasis on world building, comedy, and friendships. One way I've always liked describing it as that Magi has the world building of One Piece but the storytelling of Hunter x Hunter.

Magi

Both Magi and Hunter x Hunter stray from normal shonen tropes by introducing a group of main characters and then separating them for very long portions at a time while introducing brand new characters to seemingly take their place until those original main characters return. It's a nice shake-up and both Togashi and Ohtaka are good at creating new characters that are interesting. They also deal with a lot of darker subject matter that most modern shonen manga wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pool. Magi isn't anywhere near as dark or complex as Hunter x Hunter, but it does seem to be inspired by it in various ways. One way I've always liked describing it as that Magi has the world building of One Piece but the storytelling of Hunter x Hunter.

Hito Hitori Futari reminds me A LOT of the very first arc of Yu Yu Hakusho but done as a seinen series, and I feel this was entirely intentional. Fans of Yu Yu Hakusho before it became a pure battle manga who are looking for something similar but much more serious will probably love this.
