I wanted to like this. The art style is really nice and lends a lot of charm to the character designs. I think Mei is very cute.
This is a story about a girl who has trust issues. She believes that people only pretend to be your friend and then abandon you. This causes her to shut herself off from everyone around her and assume the role of the class grouch. People tend to stay away from her because she never makes herself appear approachable.

I thought it would be more interesting than it was since they start off married. They’re not bad characters, but they don’t really engage me to what’s going on. There isn’t really enough humor either for something labelled a comedy.
The antics are mostly because of Tsukasa’s younger sister but she is played out rather swiftly. Im afraid on their own, this couple just isn’t interesting. Nasa Yuzaki wants to make a name for himself but the show never explores this desire. And to be honest I barely know anything about Tsukasa other than some vague tie-in to the moon. I feel like this series would have been better as a movie. The ending is something I would definitely cry over normally, but it didn’t hit me as hard as Id like. I think it’s because there’s only really one character Riko tried being friends with actively and I dunno. It felt kinda so-so?
Riko sucking at the beginning makes sense. Her not improving is probably fine if they didn’t play it as a joke in the final episode. A well-written comedy still needs its moments of seriousness.
