How could I forget to write a Review of one of the best Anime of 2018?!. To me that is. But hear me out before you remove this from your List's.
Grand Blue is not like any other anime out there, Actually it kinda is. It is set in a diving place where you will live and get into wholesome diving while enjoying College Life! IS what the synopsis made me think, but boy was I wrong! Iori is immediately met with such misfortune, witnessing several naked men in his new abode, and the worst part was that he was swept up with their tomf*ckery and
...
got drunk on power... Literally that is, he literally woke up in his new school somewhat naked.
Does that sound like a bad revenge anime to you? Not to me. The comedy isn't light, but the Humor suits the show extremely well, you could almost say that the jokes were meant for this anime. But that's not all.
The Characters were a delight to witness, they were extremely dumb, but they was a bit of realism in their dumbness, like a certain amount of stupidity that a regular human could pull off. Each person in this show has their own motives, and they make it very clear the longer you watch it. College life is tough, this show has shown me that side of it. But College can also be fun depending on if you have the right people hanging around with you. The Senpai's may be drunkards at times, but they are also people, they have jobs and future careers to think about, yet they still have the time to oblige their Kouhai's to make sure they have a great college life despite theirs ending.
Seeing this show from beginning to end, it made me love the show every episode of the way. I have a newfound respect for the Seniors who I only saw as nuisances at first. But I never disliked any of them. The Comedy is around the same as Gintama in that level, I nearly choked from laughing. The anime will also sometimes make you see friendship in a better way. Because some bonds will never be broken.
Buuuut than again, I wasn't wrong when I said there was naked men and Tomf*ckery soooooo. 10/10. Some emotions just can't be expressed through words.
