This anime DEFINITELY isn´t for everyone. Most anime involve stories that feature self-insert characters, action, comedy - simply stuff to have fun watching. Well, I definitely enjoyed watching Casshern Sins, though I have to admit, in the beginning it was a little hard to stick with. The whole ambience of the world that is visualized for us in this anime is very gloomy, cold, dystopian. The anime is very slow paced and has long periods without dialogue. It´s probably a lot easier to watch one episode per day, but of course I needed the full experience and watched episode after episode. Those are all the
...
things that made the experience... difficult in the beginning. However continuing to watch the anime, the plot and story developed amazingly. Casshern Sins is VERY philosophical. It has been compared to a lot of philosophical shows, it basically discusses the human will to live, as well as a few other things every episode. Since Madhouse produced this anime, it is blessed with amazing art and animation, not to forget music and soundtracks. The anime has one of my favorite endings of all time. It will literally change the way you think, if you haven´t thought that way already. ;)

Now I know that the story overall isn´t very deep or well thought through, but several people (idiots I like to call them) seem to give the anime bad ratings based on that, eventhough the obvious goal of the anime is to have people enjoy it. The hype around the series is well deserved and understandable. The author of the series simply made a good choice story and plotwise and Madhouse turned his manga into one hell of an amazing anime. The art, animation, scenery, cutsequence, sound and so on were amazingly well done.
Animation: 10/10
Very solid, but even amazingly detailed animation, as well as incredible
...
portrayage of physics (the action in the series is very physics-heavy).
Unique character looks and good effects. Nice pause sequence.
Story: 7/10
Of course the story isn´t the best part about the anime, however it is quite intriguing, e.g. the whole story around saitama and his social standing is well done in my opinion.
Sound: 10/10
Madhouse did an amazing job on soundtracks, the theme song, character voices and SFX as they tend to. The theme song is catchy and the soundtracks create a perfect atmosphere for whatever is currently displayed.
Character: 10/10
The characters in One Punch Man are what I really liked in the series. There´s quite a large cast with interesting, funny and likeable people AND creatures.
Enjoyment: 10/10
The overwhelming sensation that I had during the entire series: Joy. All put-together the anime features great comedy which made me laugh out loud several times. The amount of power or "overpoweredness" of saitama also made my jaw drop basically every episode, giving me goosebumps and making me laugh or squeal. The action is, as I already said, very well displayed.
Overall opinion: 10/10
I give this series 10 out of 10 points, because I simply enjoyed it beyond belief. It´s fresh and has a very unique feel to it, stunning you every episode.

Probably the greatest action anime in existence. The story has SOME flaws and the scenes aren´t always perfect, but when it matters most, bleach tends to rip me off my chair in excitement. It manages to make some scenes so epic that I just can´t wait for the continuation of the anime that has been dead for a while now, but is said to show itself again sometime soon. What was also very outstanding of course is how powerful the characters are in bleach, the strongest of them: The main character, Ichigo Kurosaki, one of my favorite protagonists of all time. Yes, I will admit
...
that I am a fanboy of this anime, but bleach is still definitely one of the top ones out there. One can solely tell by the number of viewers that sticked around for a whopping 366 episodes and more to come that bleach deserves its income.

What makes this my number 2 anime of all time: The buildup and lining of the story. This anime is great in many aspects, of which it´s high points are strategy, wit and just the general hype and excitement caused by the secrecy of lelouch being a double-lifed terroristgroup-leader and prince of Britannia. However, the thing that probably made this the best anime of all time in my mind for a while, is the INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, MINDBLOWING, TRAGIC and BEAUTIFUL ending. The ending impressed me so much that I was speechless. In the end the feels also really hit me surprisingly for the first time
...
ever while watching anything. Code Geass will always be etched into my mind and memory.

An unbelievably touching, feel-wrecking, gripping anime. Rainbow is amazingly well done, scenes are perfect, the art is very colorful and detailed, the Characters are all unbelievably deep and there´s practically an arc for each one, the animation is very fitting, fluid and realistic, the storyline is never boring, the amazing moments give me goosebumps everytime. This anime is definitely a masterpiece. I´d say it´s even better than steins;gate but Steins;gate is still my Number 1, only because Rainbow doesn´t hype me just as much. Otherwise, this would be at #1. This seemingly neverending tragic story, the beautiful friendship of the main characters, the really
...
"fucked up" moments even, the courage and fighting spirit that all of the characters show and the amazing moral and wiseness this story brings make this anime truly spectacular. The fact that the story is based on actual happenings in said time, makes it even more incredible. 10/10 easy. Definitely a must-watch.

Definitely an anime I won´t ever forget. This anime puts a light on things in a whole different way than most mainstream animes, least to be said. It actually shows the world in a rather ugly, savage light. Kei, the story´s main character, has to go through these death games and you can see him develop. Very soon he becomes badass and will kill anything that stands in the way of letting him and his friends survive. I should also say that this anime definitely isn´t meant for kids, as it doesn´t leave out any incredible, but necessary gory scenes, or sex scenes. The characters
...
are great, all of their personal lives and problems being shown. The animation is amazingly good, eventhough the anime was made in 2004, akthough most websites probably won´t have it in higher resolution than 360p. I definitely enjoyed this anime and it gripped me within the first few episodes. If the ending wasn´t so tragic, then it´s probably be a lot better in my opinion, though I´ve seen that the manga still goes on a lot further and the anime was just cut off for catching up to it. I deem this anime so good, it might even get a place in my top 10. Very unique.

So....
This anime isn´t my Number 1 anime of all time without reason.
What made me pick this for Number 1 out of the more than hundred anime I´ve seen? The one, most OUTSTANDING thing that made me watch the series in 3 days, is the AMAZING atmosphere every episode delivers. One moment there´s an incredibly funny moment, like a new over the top theory by Okabe, or his hilarious laugh, the other moment the atmosphere is umbelievably creepy, like when okabe recieves a photo from the evil group trying to prevent him from discovering any more with his experiments. What also brought
...
some eerieness or creepiness into the series were the experiments that okabe worked out, like sending messages into the past or changing the past little by little. Experiments go on and on, Okabe gets deeper and deeper into different mysterious worlds and soon you realize: Nothing is impossible in this story. Okabe desperately tries to prevent certain events and you really feel helpless as well. Steins;Gate really drags you into the story and makes you empathize with each and every character. At one point, Okabe seems to have given up hope and looks on the brink of insanity, but his slightly different friends help him up again and okabe and Makise develop an also very well done romance, which also gives a lot of spice to the episodes. A lot of people say that they don´t like how the story starts off slowly. I disagree, since -boom- right at the beginning there´s a murder scene. Second, I also like how the story "slowly- but acceleratingly" the story starts off with Okabe´s "normal" life with his friends and what he usually does. Despite this, you can see the gears turning on the story line and I could immediately tell this show would be a good one. Also very outstanding in Steins;Gate, is how "professional" the scenes are written, cut and displayed. The timing is just perfect and the angles and soundeffects fit perfectly. If you´re wondering if you should watch it dubbed or subbed, look no further. The sub is obviously the original and some people prefer it, BUT- I watched the Dub which was the best I have ever heard. Now, I do prefer dub normally, because I´m american, but sometimes the dubs of shows are really trashy, so I watch subbed too. You definitely won´t regret Steins;Gate´s dub, least said. The characters in this show are all very well done, each of their backstory being shown, since Okabe uncovers shocking truth after truth of how much his life has, is and will be influenced by his friends. The storyline can get a little confusing at times, but that´s what this anime is about: "A whole bunch of confusing time lines that Okabe travels through, to reach a destiny where he can be together happily with all his friends." After all, this anime IS about time traveling. Coming to the animation, I have to say there´s not really anything that stood out. The art style is relatively realistic as can be said for the shading, lighting and colours. The animation is very fitting for this scientific masterpiece, which makes my overall respect for Steins;Gate even greater. This anime completely annhilated any other anime in all categories and got me addicted very quickly. It definitely deserves the Number 1 spot in my top anime list of all time!
