Beautiful. That's one word I can use to describe this anime. Yuri!!! on Ice won many Crunchyroll award and it is one of the most hyped anime last year.
1. STORY: 8/10
To be frank the story did not pull me in when I read the sypnosis. I entered this anime half heartedly at first since it was overhyped. Unexpectedly, I was drawn into the story. To put it simply, the story is about Yuri suffering a crushing defeat and he danced Viktor Nikiforov's routine, and the trio recorded it and put it on Youtube. Viktor happened to see it and fly to Japan to be
...
his coach. Never have I expected that such a story would totally captivate me into their world. I thought that this anime would be a fujoshi bait like Free! However, I was proved wrong. This isn't a fujoshi-bait. It is simply a sport anime with romance elements in it. I did not expect myself to enjoy this anime as much as I do and each episode just blew me away! Even if the romance elements were to be taken out, this anime would still be an enjoyment to watch.
2. ART & ANIMATION: 8.5/10
The art is spectacular, the animation for the ice skating is fantastic. Although there are choppy animation in between each skating movement, it is quite understandable since skating movements are quite hard to animate. In the middle of ep 8-11 (excluding ep 10), some skating scenes are too overwhelming and it just didn't really excite me that much after seeing them once.
3. SOUND: 10/10
Perhaps what made Yuri!!! on Ice so great is the sound. The sound tracks are captivating, the voice actors did a very good job in conveying feelings and the opening theme is catchy and fascinating. My favourite would be Yuri on Ice - that melody touches my heart and it inspired me to play it on the piano.
4. CHARACTERISATION: 9/10
Without a doubt, all the characters are well developed. We get to see Yuri Katsuki grow as a character and root for him. All his rivals don't seem annoying - in fact all of them are loveable! I find myself rooting for all of them and I especially like how each rival gets their development and understand the reason behind their drive on wanting to win. The only complaint I have is with Yuri Plisetsky. Maybe I'm the only one who feel this, but I find his character inconsistent. Like, he would be giving "katsudon bun" to Yuri Katsuki and be nice to him on his birthday, but the next episode he just reverted back to how he was episodes ago, as shown in him picking fight with Viktor and insulted Yuri Katsuki. Despite that, the last episode made me like him more but that doesn't change the fact that he is a brat. My favourite character out of all of them is Victor - although we don't get to see the complete story on his back story, his character is just a joy to watch.
Overall: 9/10
Despite the flaws I picked from the anime, I would like to give props to Sayo Yamamoto and Studio MAPPA for trying out something that others have not tried before. This anime brings out the challanges Ice Skaters would face. Of course, not to forget the romance between Viktor and Yuri K. I like how this anime normalise the homosexual relationship between Yuri K. And Viktor N. and not sexualise it in typical Yaoi style. Yuri!!! On ice is absolutely an enjoyable ride and I would love to watch a second season of it. It didn't deserve Best Animation, Best Boy and Best Ending, but it helluva deserves Anime of the Year. Undoubtedly, it has become my favourite anime of all times.

What can I use to describe Aoi Hana? To put it simply, it is gentle and beautiful.
-Story: 8/10
The story in this anime is quite simple. Fumi Manjoume, an introverted and shy girl got her heart broken by the person she loves and on her first day to school, she ran into an energetic and bubbly girl, Akira Okudaira, only to find out they were childhood friends when Fumi and her mother visited Okudaira. With that, both girls reconnected and be involved in each other's life and problems they faced. Aoi Hana tackle on the theme 'Unrequited Love' and 'Friendship' very well and every episode feels
...
like a ride on a roller coaster of feels. Not only that, it takes itself seriously and shows us a legitimate love story between characters. I especially quite like how this anime uses words like 'bisexual', 'lesbian' as I have never heard words like that in all shounen ai/shoujo ai anime I've seen.
-Art/Animation: 8/10
The background of this anime is decent - nothing too spectacular, yet it gave us a very gentle feel that really fits the tone of the scene. The animation is solid, too. Although the character designs are quite plain, it actually suits this anime very well.
-Sound: 9/10
The voice actors/actresses did a very good job in conveying feelings in their characters. Both the opening theme and the ending theme gives us a really tender and sweet feeling that fits this anime well. The soundtrack used were also really nice and is used appropriately.
-Character: 10/10
Perhaps what I like the most about Aoi Hana was its characters. They felt realistic, and also likeable. Fumi Manjoume was really shy and a crybaby, but she grew from there, and became stronger. Akira Okudaira was what a true friend is. She sticks by Fumi, and helps her out when Fumi got her heart broken by the girls she loved. All the relationship in this anime felt genuine and natural, especially Akira and Fumi. I adored the relationship between them although they don't really progress other than being best friends and close friends. Yasuko Sugimoto was a really interesting character for me as we get to see the type of person she was other than the prince-ly facade she puts on.
-Overall: 9/10
Aoi Hana is a well-done anime. It shows us legitimate relationships and takes itself seriously. The way it handled 'Unrequited Love' was really fantastic as it felt really relatable. The only reason why I didn't give this anime a 10/10 was because of the unsatisfying ending (your usual 'read the manga's ending) but other than it was an enjoyable ride with all those feels and I definitely recommend this anime to people who wants a realistic love story without all those fanservice bullshit.
Thank you for reading my review and have a nice day ^_^

One phrase to describe this anime. WHAT THE F***
I can't believe the first anime review that I would write would be this one.
In this review I won't be using their names, because I just couldn't remember any of their names. Like I mentioned earlier, this is my first time doing a review, so I will try to keep this spoiler-free.
-Story: 2/10
Your typical over-the-top cliche romance anime. No, this is not just over-the-top. This is over-the-top, the advanced version. MC-kun transferred to this prestigious school, meets different "handsome" guy that likes him for no freaking reason and their daily life in school. Nothing special.
-Art/Animation: 2/10
The
...
art can be described in one word. Crap. What about the animation? It is bullshit. The supposedly "handsome" guys have pointy chins and our MC-kun have a face that perfectly correspond with his personality. Bland. Bland as in not memorable and he doesn't have eyes. Why did I give this a '2' then if it's really bad? The MC-kun's sister is cute (the only character that have decent design) and there is this episode where our "handsome" guys transform into freaking bishies. There you go.
-Sound: 6/10
The opening and the ending theme...they are catchy, but VERY annoying.
The voice actor did do a good job though.
-Character: 2/10
No character development. We have bland, generic MC-kun and his harem - your typical transferred student, delinquent, rich student council president, long time best friend/childhood friend, and the teacher. Not to forget, the sister and the meddling principal.
-Overall: 8/10
The story is bad, the art is crap, the sound is eh, the characters are bland, but this makes Gakuen Handsome enjoyable. Gakuen Handsome is meant to be a parody and all the flaws are meant to be like that. This anime is a total cringe-fest, yet it is humorous at how over-the-top each episode is. If your looking for a serious anime to watch, stay away from this because you won't enjoy it. However, if you're really bored and want something to enjoy (or totally into anime like this), try Gakuen Handsome. Each episode is only about 3+ minutes long.
Thanks for reading my review! ^_^ Sorry if I made any mistakes here are there ._."
