Summary: A great story bombed by a horrible ending.
This manga is a great piece of literature, with an ending so dissatisfying, it ruins the entire thing. All of the struggles of the MC that he overcomes over the story, the inner conflict of deviating from social norms while being unable to provide for his crush, the outer conflict with his romance rivals - some of which are his friends; everything is thrown in a garbage bin and set on fire in the final chapters, when the greatest conflict of his lifetime is resolved by itself, with zero input from the MC. Well, he did have
...
an input, but it got tossed aside in order to resolve said conflict in what felt like the highest level of "unearned/undeserved", having the best ending served to him on a silver plate.
Were it not for the ending, this would have been a solid 9. If you decide to read this, you will be caught off-guard with great character development, well-defined characters, maybe even face the dilemma of pleasure vs love; do be mindful of the horrible ending. I had put the story on hold around chapter 200, so I treaded carefully for the last third of the story. And yet, despite expecting a bad ending, nothing could have prepared me for the irrationality that took place. Enjoy. Or skip this for something that is actually worth your time, such as staring at your walls or maybe even touching them instead of grass. It will be faster and more satisfying than this piece of s....ub-par ending.
