Good idea, bad execution. You could call this a modern teenage "Shawshank Redemption". The story is interesting and the characters had a good start.
The build up falls flat around the later middle though and the ending leaves loose ends in sideplots it had specially put emphasis just an episode before. The animation quality has to be overlooked for enjoyment; it's enough to make the point, but is at the edge of what I would call professional.
