Horrible. Appalling. Downright disgusting in so many aspects.
I couldn't get through the 1st episode and dropped it on the 3rd just to give them the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, it's a downward spiral. Watching this feels unsettling - disturbing even – because of the amount of inappropriate context this show is portraying. Rationalize it all you want but this show literally screams "Grooming." The age gap between the two is awfully alarming. Keiya is already 26, while Isaku is only 15 yrs old, meaning there's an 11 year difference between these so called "couple." BARF.
And not only is her 'guard dog'
...
a groomer, but also a possessive stalker. The female lead is already in high school but has to be classmates with the person who literally raised her. Sure, he was assigned to guard and protect her as instructed since he's from a yakuza clan after all, but I guess he forgot to place some boundaries in his assignment. The poor girl was about to get some romance with the blonde dude but then the guard dog ruined it because he got 'jealous'. And it's sick that people are getting giddy about this, calling him overprotective, when really he's overstepping his job and retraining Isaku from having a normal highschool life.
Aside from the bad writing, the art style and animation isnt too good either. Everything is stiff and poorly drawn in some areas. OST is meh. Enjoyment is nonexistent. If you still have some sense of morals left, I honestly hope you don't even attempt to watch this show.

Overall Rating 6.73?? I think people are hating on this show way too much than it deserves.
I would agree that this anime could've done better. The execution was done poorly despite the good premise, side characters were nonexistent, and the pacing was painfully slow. However, people are too quick to depict Hananoi as a red flag or a possessive stalker before the show even started. And it's either because they dropped the series halfway or just don't really get the bigger picture of what this anime is trying to portray.
Hananoi and Hotaru are both highschool teenagers who are naive and inexperienced when it comes
...
to romantic relationships. In fact, their idea and approach to love is shown differently. One gives too much to a point where he forgets himself, while the other is still ignorant and cautious but slowly figures it out along the way. Their relationship and how they perceive love is honestly realistic. Both characters have their own share of experiences and traumas that explain who they are now and why they think that way. They both have flaws that are yet to be developed and it is by navigating through their relationship that they are able to understand one another and reframe their initial misconception of love. The story may be slow, but we get to see an in-depth process of how loving another person also means changing oneself for the better to make the relationship work.
Going back to my previous rant, as much as I would love to agree that Hananoi is "obsessive" or "possessive," be mindful that he's a neglected child with zero friends since middle school. So when he finally has someone whom he cherishes, he's scared that this person will one day leave him as well (as if he hasn't experienced enough). And believe it or not, he's trying. He's slowly getting used to Keigo (hes still cold to him tho) and able to have lunch with Hotaro's friends despite knowing they would have lesser time alone together. He's been slowly adjusting so that his toxic behavior wouldn't inconvenience Hotaro. This is what you call character development.
This shoujo anime may not be the best, but it does have some potential. I believe that there are still some aspects in the story that are yet to be revealed, so I'm still hoping there's going to be a season 2.

God, this show did not age well. Honestly, I wished that I watched this show during my teens, maybe then I could've bypassed all the toxicity and find giddy in the superficial old-fashioned romance.
Story:(4/10)
The story is a no-brainer, basically it's one of the typical romance shoujo wherein a ditsy, talentless, dimwitted girl falls in love with an intelligent and handsome guy, who by the way also possesses all the red flags and toxic tendencies that you can imagine. Yes, it's an old show so these types of plot aren't a big deal back then, but what I cannot forgive about is that there's no
...
character development from the main leads at all. It's like I'm watching a parasitic relationship of a sadist and a masochist, which is one of the unhealthiest relationships of all. It's painful, depressing and infuriating to watch how the story progresses knowing that the dynamics between the two is supposedly showcasing the viewers that what they have is "Love." Absolutely disgusting.
The only reason what kept me from rating this to a "1" is because of the unique timelapse of witnessing their relationship from highschool-college-marriage-career-kids. It's too fast-paced for my taste, especially how little romance was shown from Irie's perspective, but still it was brave of them to go beyond from the usual shoujo high school narrative.
Art:(5/10)
Personally, I didn't like the art of this anime, especially the drawing of Irie. Kotoko looked great, especially with the famously old bug-eyed drawing. Irie, on the other hand, looked too mature to be paired with Kotoko. The height difference was too much as well that I initially thought it was a romance between a highschooler and an adult. But I wouldn't be too harsh since this was basically drawn from the 90s. And watching this series now as an adult, it honestly feels nostalgic.
Sound: (5/10)
It was okay, not something that's memorable. Both intro and outro are easily skippable. Some sound effects were a bit over the top. Although, the VA did a great job in complementing with their characters well.
Characters: (2/10)
The characters are the biggest letdown in the series. As I've mentioned, there's no character development from the main leads at all, whether as individuals or as couples.
Let's start with Kotoko, who is by far the most unbearable character to watch in all shoujo animes. You'd think that she'd grow a spine by the end of the series, but unfortunately, she still remains the same airheaded doormat all throughout. She literally lives and breathes Irie. Her world basically revolves around him, even to a point where she chose a career path that complements with his. She's got no pride nor self-respect, and to make matters worse, her clumsiness is too exaggerated that it makes you wonder if she even has a brain.
Irie, on the other hand, is basically your typical heartthrob who has the brains and looks but zero personality. A genius with a photographic memory and a possible descendant of Einstein, but has an emotional quotient of a rock. Usually, the 'tsundere' and 'cool-badboy' trope is the usual trend in most animes, some were still tolerable despite the red flags in some scenes. But for Irie, he's like an abnormal case. He's insensitive, arrogant, conceited and the most boring character that anyone could have the misfortune to be in a relationship with.
And unfortunately, that victim is Kotoko. Yes, a victim. The poor girl is too love-struck by the superficial qualities of Irie that results to being blinded in acknowledging the mental and emotional abuse she had to go through to keep their relationship intact. Their dynamics became so low to a point wherein Kotoko could already tolerate and brush of his rude remarks and feels a surge of joy from a small attempt of sweet gesture, even though it's already considered the bare minimum (ex. rare date that she had to ask him for HER birthday). Some would say that Irie gradually improves throughout the series, but if you're calling someone, who only takes action when their 'admirer' finally attempts to grow a pair and look for someone else, is what you consider an improvement, then you need to wake the fck up! It's honestly a narcissistic behavior, especially when they are used to have someone doting on them for a long time, it becomes their badge of honor and settles passively thinking they'll be obsessed with them forever. But once the rose-colored lenses start to fall out and tries to find someone better, that's where they start to chase them, and it's not because out of love but rather for their self-serving ego. When you think about it, the only time Irie lost his shit is when he got jealous with the marriage proposal of Kin and when Keita fell in love with Kotoko. Once the situation got resolved with Kotoko blindly choosing him again, he goes back to being an asshole and continually takes her love for granted.
Honestly, the only character that I loved in the series is Keita, whom I strongly believe that Kotoko should've ended up with. She deserves someone who chooses her, cares for her and appreciates her as a person. He is the ultimate green flag in the series and I know that he'll be able to provide the love that Kotoko deserves without needing to beg for it like what she does to Irie. Hell, even Irie's mom would rather choose him than his own son. But of course, this show had to use Keita's character as a source of conflict to "develop their relationship." Which is such a waste because they had to portray him as a bad guy in the story when basically, he's the purest and most sensible character of them all.
Basically, it's the side characters who are saving this show. But the main leads? Pure trash.
Enjoyment: (3/10)
I'm all for "unrequited love-to-lovers" trope but this one is an exemption. Watching this show was painful and frustrating, the episodes felt too long that I just wanted it to be over. Personally, the reason why I feel so strongly disgusted by this show is because it reminds me of my own experience wherein I've been through a toxic relationship. It reminds me of the times wherein I was too blind by love to not notice all the manipulation and abuse that was happening. Fortunately, I managed to get past that point of my life and already found a healthy relationship whose character is similar to Keita. That's why ladies, never settle for less!
Overall: (4/10)
The timeline from highschool to marriage and seeing their appearance change throughout, was a unique touch to the story. It's only unfortunate that the main characters were poorly written as they did not develop maturely both as individuals and as a couple. Yes, they did have their moments, but the toxicity outweighed the good aspects in their relationship to a point where in all you feel is discomfort seeing them together. It makes you question if it's really worth it to stay since you've finally "got the guy" after chasing for so long, but the aftermath of getting to know the person and how they treat you as a partner is a different story. And unfortunately, this anime fails to deliver this aspect.

At Chapter 85. Waiting for 2nd season.
Story: (9/10)
I'm surprised that people rated this too low when in fact, this is one of the most unique and thrilling historical manwha's I've ever read. The plot may seem typical as you can see in the summary, but the process of how the story goes keeps the readers on edge that every chapter ends with an intriguing cliffhanger. The character dynamics are impressive as well as each of them bring a distinct role to the story. I also have to give a hand to the scriptwriters for their brilliant minds on interpreting the story clearly as well as
...
the cleverly written conversations of savagery and backlash among the characters.
Art: (9/10)
The art is absolutely stunning! If you've read a lot of webtoons/manwhas, you'd notice that some drawings have peculiar art styles wherein some faces look a bit deformed. But this manwha, on the hand, has beautiful aesthetics and attractively drawn characters. The colors also complements well in captivating life to the visuals.
Characters: (10/10)
Let me just say how I love the characteristics and personalities of the cast. Each of them bring a significant role to the story whether they are a main character or a side.
Unlike most female protagonists whom are usually the damsels in distress, this lead character is a fcking savage. She is literally a strong and independent queen who can either selflessly treat you with respect or roast you from existence. She's smart, classy and doesn't tolerate shit once her kindness gets abused. I She's the female lead that I've been longing for whenever I start an anime or manwha. The male lead, on the other hand, is an utter sweetheart. He may appear to be the typical badboy prince at first glance, but it turns out he's an actual cinnamon roll who has a pure and loving heart. He's a wholesome character that manages to soften the stoic personality of the queen. They balance each other out so well that you can't help but feel giddy upon their exchange of interactions.
Naturally, you'd find the rest of the characters as despicably annoying. And as much as how I want them to be dragged under the depths of hell, I can't deny the fact that they fight so cleverly. They tend to be more passive yet strategic. It's not the typical route that most antagonists we've come to expect.
Enjoyment: (10/10)
Despite my distaste for historical genres, this one has definitely won me over. It's one of the manwhas that I never expected to love (and binged). Honestly, the only reason why I gave this a shot was because I heard rumors that this manwha will be adapted in a Korean tv drama, featuring one of my fave actors, Ji Chang Wook (like I said, it's still a rumor).
Still, I can say that this story isn't everyone's cup of tea. Judging by most people giving this a low rating, it's mostly due to the rage of the readers who dislike the rollercoaster loop of drama (what's the point of having a long running-time story when there ain't no conflict right?). Nonetheless, I really hope it'll be confirmed soon because it'd be such a waste that such a brilliant and thrilling story remains hidden from the non-webtoon world.
Overall: (9/10)
The manwha isn't finished yet since it's still preparing chapters for season 2 (chap. 85 and above). I might update my review once the story ends, but for now I'm giving this a "9" since I'm enjoying the story so far. Hoping for a savagery revenge from the queen soon!

*may contain Spoilers*
Mob Psycho 100 is one of the animes that won't give you much of an impression at first glance. That is, for the people who haven't read the manga nor known anything about ONE. Aside from the seemingly plain appearance of Mob and what others would presume as unattractive animation, the title also doesn't give much of an impact compared to the renowned, "One Punch Man." And I admit that I too was appalled by the visuals and had doubts of giving it a shot. But after watching the show, MY GOD WHAT
...
A BLAST that was! What started out as a typical slice of life/comedy show about a boy who has gifted psychic abilities trying to live a normal middle school life, suddenly turned into a jam-packed action show with intriguing storylines and stunningly fluid animation. The first couple of episodes were hilarious and had a light-hearted tone, but the latter was something I never saw coming.
Personally, if I were to choose between One Punch Man or Mob Psycho 100, I'd definitely choose Mob Psycho 100 all the way! I know comparing two masterpieces is unnecessary, but I think that M.P 100 is underrated and doesn't receive much love compared to OPM. Don't get me wrong, I've watched both shows and loved every aspect of them, but M.P. 100 just gives me this sense of thrill that OPM couldn't retain. Because Mob and Saitama (from OPM) were both first perceived as the same typical over-powered heroes, which they still are, sometimes the audience tends to feel complacent for every antagonist that comes their way, expecting that it'd be a one-sided fight. That's what I felt when watching One Punch Man. It gets exciting at first especially with ONE's brilliant showcase of animation, but later on, the hype slowly dies down with lesser thrill or expectations with the main character because he'll defeat them with no signs of struggle. It reaches a point where it gets a little boring since you'd know how it'll turn out in the end. And that's what I expected when watching Mob Psycho 100, but boy was I wrong. Yes, Mob is OP, yet the show manages to bring balance to the character as well as the plot that steadily retains its momentum. Mob could easily defeat his enemies, but to a point where he has to face [SPOILER!] his younger brother made it so interesting since I initially thought that he'd be just a one dimensional side character.
The ending, however, I've had some mixed feelings about it. Somehow it felt anti-cIimactic when the 7th Division, who appeared so intimidating and menacing when first introduced, ended up getting nerfed so badly in the finale. After that intense showdown with Mob vs. koyama, I was honestly expecting the upcoming fights would have a similar vibe. So I was a bit disappointed when the most characters in the division turned out to be cheap comedic reliefs, bringing nothing significant to the plot. It only made it worse when Reigen ended up having the last hit on all of the enemies. I was on the edge of my seat hoping for a more savaged Mob going beserk on the 7th division, then ultimately failed and ended up Reigen having the spotlight. To be fair, what Reigen advised to Mob which was to "Runaway and leave it to the adults," was actually the right thing to do. It's actually one of the scenes that defies all typical Shounen resolutions. So as much as I want to feel bitter and pressed about the ending, I just can't bring myself to hate it. Not to mention that this odd and unexpected nature of mixing action and comedy definitely screams ONE's unique storylines.

*This review will be solely base on the anime*
Story: (7/10)
I haven't played the game nor read any reading material, so watching this show was pretty exhilarating not knowing what to expect. I know some people would criticize this as repetitive, and in the long run it is, but c'mon this show was literally derived from a game, of course it'll be repetitive given that there'll be a contending opponent waiting in each floor. And honestly, plots like this are one of my favorites. I love how there's always a riddle to solve or characters to defeat in every stage. The first couple of episodes really
...
got me hooked, but somehow the momentum died as it reached towards the end. The ending was just utterly bittersweet. It was open-ended, which I dread these type of endings, and left me a bit unsatisfied. Still, the tandem between Zack and Rachel had good chemistry and definitely gave the show more thrill.
Art: (6/10)
The art style was great at captivating the eeriness and unsettling tone of the anime. It's not exactly high-quality, but animation remains fluid. Loved the character design of Zack and Rachel tho!
Sound: (9/10)
The voice actors really outdid themselves in this one, but the crown definitely goes to my all-time favorite VA Okamoto Nobuhiko, who voiced Isaac Foster (Zack). He has this sexy raspy sound when he speaks and yet a creepy maniacal laugh that brings sheer terror. It's no wonder the man had a strain in his throat and needed to undergo surgery. I also love Rachel's VA since it kind of reminds of Violet from Violet Evergarden. Coincidentally, both of them portray emotionless characters.
Character: (7/10)
Oh how I wish Rachel ain't 13 but a little bit older, but then again the audience won't empathize as much if the character wasn't a kid. Guilty as I am, I ship I Zack and Rachel (who doesn't though). They had such great chemistry with the mixture of brains & brawns kind of tandem. I also loved how Zack was first introduced as a homicidal maniac who goes on a killing spree to a selfless guardian with a lil' tsundere attitude. Despite the eerie laugh whenever he goes berserk, he's still a likable character whom we can't bring to hate. I also liked Rachel, or more like the "emotionless" Rachel. Not gonna lie, I was expecting that the girl would be annoyingly helpless and depend on Zack most of the show. Much to my surprise, it turned out to be the other way around. I know she's somewhat psychologically damaged, but I loved how she literally slayed every challenge without a hint of tear. She was cool and independent all throughout other than her part of the story. I guess the only thing I find her irritating was when she makes reference to her religion or repeatedly begs Zack to kill her. But it's all part of the story so it's understandable.
Enjoyment: (6/10)
It was utterly thrilling. I could no longer count how many times this show has made my heart throb nonstop. I loved the mysteries of every stage as well as discovering the character's tragic past that led them the way they are now. The dynamic relationship between Zack and Rachel was definitely interesting to watch as they used to start out unattached who only worked together for a compliant agreement, then slowly developed a soft spot for each other and created a bond that the only they could understand. Unfortunately, the ending left an underwhelming open-ended conclusion. It may be an interesting touch for some, but personally, it left me unsettled. The finale portrayed two possible endings with subtle hints that make the audience decide what happens. Some say that the author confirmed which was the ending, but it still hasn't been confirmed.
Overall: (6/10)
I'm not an amid fan of horror/thriller related flicks because basically I'm a scaredy cat. Although this isn't technically horror but more of a suspense/thriller, I still consider Angel of Death as an achievement for having an anime on my list that's closely affiliated with that genre. Honestly, the reason why I gave this show a shot was because I was attracted to Zack's visual character (despite the bandages) and even more so when I found out Okamoto Nobuhiko was his VA. Watching this show was a breath for fresh air since this genre isn't my usual forte. I loved their mysteries of the challenge they face in every floor as well as unlocking the secrets between each character. If only the ending wasn't a cliffhanger, I could've rated this higher. Nonetheless, I didn't regret one bit watching this show and I recommend anyone who's looking for some thrill and mystery.

*Warning! May contain some spoilers*
Story: (2/10)
I am honestly at loss for words, not because it's good, but rather it's just so utterly bizarre that I don't even know where to start. Long story short, the anime portrays satirical romance-comedy wherein a female high school student falls in love with a 5th grader who happens to have the appearance of a handsome young man. And honestly, I have never felt more disturbed. The first episode is literally a trap, hence the high rates of people dropping this. It started out quite cute, sweet and all-around NORMAL. The female high school student, Kaho, almost gets into a
...
truck accident when all of a sudden the guy, Kanade, swoops in and manages to save her on time. He uttered words that, like any typical romance anime, tugs her heartstrings and instantly fell in love. Kanade was first introduced as a cool typical badboy, and I admit, I too fell in love with his appearance. But as the moment his secret was revealed, which was admitting he's still in primary school, it all went downhill from there. The story progresses in a ridiculously random subplots with inappropriate sexual jokes of "willys" and obscene "loli" manifestations.
Art: (9/10)
In all fairness, the show possesses impressive high-quality animation. When I first saw the thumbnail (which basically had me fooled), I admit I was attracted by the visuals especially the picture between Kaho and Kanade (lol little did i know). Despite the bizarreness of this show, I can't deny the effort and hard work that the animators put in to make such exquisite details and visuals.
Sound: (9/10)
The intro and outro were both decent, but I wouldn't say that I'm into it. They were just okay. The VA's, on the other hand, were actually impressive. What's surprising is that my all-time favorite VA, Okamoto Nobuhiko, voices Shinohara! WTF!! If you don't know him, he actually voices Bakugo from Boku no Hero, Nishinoya from Haikyuu, Rin from Blue Exorcist and many more. Most of the characters he voiced are typically the loud ones so it bewilders me that he voices the stuttering shy Shinohara. The versatility of this man is incredible! Anyway, I expected the rest to be annoying, but surprisingly, each voice fits their character perfectly.
This used to be a 7, but because of my love for Okamoto Nobuhiko, I'm giving this a 9 HAHAHA.
Character: (2/10)
Oh god, where do I even start.
As weird as Kanade can be, I can't really hate his character as much given that his state of mentality is literally a child. I can't blame him for disappointing Kaho in every scene due to his childish antics. I mean, he is a kid in a man's body. He's too young to take serious matters on love and shouldn't be pressured on making the right decisions with his relationship with Kaho. In fact, there shouldn't even be a relationship to begin with. He's too pure and innocent that even when he does love Kaho, his own interpretation of love may differ from what Kaho expects.
I didn't like Kaho. Yeah she's cute, sweet and all of that loli features, but I hated her naivety towards love. Despite being aware towards Kanade's status, she still continues to commit a relationship even when Kanade isn't mentally developed enough to know the complications of having one. And her submissive personality irritates me even more.
As for the rest of the characters, well they have their own pros and cons. Taga is an asshole. Chiaki is a good friend sometimes, but I hate how she keeps minding other people's business. Asashi is pretty decent, but his obsession for RenRen creeps me out. Joji is just plain weird. Gin and Tomu are even worse. Mafuyu and Daikoku scares the shit out of me. Basically, the only ones that I like are Kazuo, Shinohara and Kanade's Dad.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
This show basically screams "it's so bad that it's good," because a part of me doesn't want to waste my time on a satirical anime and just drop this, but a part of me is also curious as to see how this bizarre anime ends. Much to my dismay, the finale was just an utter let down. I was hoping for an explanation or some sort of climax that would make an interesting conclusion. Apparently, it did so in the first half especially when Kaho finally snapped, dropped her facade and started expressing all of her suppressed thoughts, but somehow it was disregarded and just shifted into a random scene. It was all so poorly executed that the finale just felt like any typical episode.
Overall: (3/10)
Honestly, watching this show made feel uneasy and quite guilty. The amount of sexual humor, indecent fetishes/loli cons, and a relationship between minors (Kaho is 15 & the other is a 5th grader) is just utterly disturbing. I'm beginning to question my morals as to how I actually managed to finish this series. Kanade's appearance can be misleading, one minute I get a bit giddy when he does something sweet then the next minute, I'm pulled in by the reality that this is guy is just a kid. A words of advice, do not be fooled by the beautiful visuals and the handsome guys. It's a massive click-bait. Once you start on this anime, you'll immediately lose your brain cells.

Story: (9/10)
This anime is hands down a masterpiece! What started off as a ridiculous and strange comedic relief suddenly turned into a gut-wrenching emotional mess. I am honestly at loss for words to express how beautifully written this show was. Plot-wise, the concept is unique and refreshing in itself. Young teenagers who passed away with an unfulfilled life are sent into a school-based afterlife where a group of rebels called SSS, wages war against a mysterious girl named Tenshi. And when I say death from an "unfulfilled life," you're bound to expect some tear-jerking moments from a tragic past. Which I did. But-ugh- never
...
did I expect how much this show could ruin me. Truly a brilliant piece of art!
Art: (9/10)
The visual and animation is truly mesmerizing. I admit, the art style is what piqued my interest the most and why I gave this show a shot. And before anyone gets offended, need I remind that this anime was produced in 2010, this is pretty much one of the most high-quality animation we can get.
Sound: (9/10)
The intro was good, but the outro was on a whole new level. If the episode makes you tear up, then the outro is sure to add another layer of depression. It's probably one of few songs that I don't particularly skip.
I also loved Iwasawa's song called "My Song." After learning about her tragic past, I started to empathize with her character as well as her love for her music. Hearing this song after all that build-up just utterly shattered me as I finally understood the emotions she portrayed behind this scene.
Characters: (7/10)
The characters were first introduced as a weird, energetic and all-around comical idiots that go on continuous missions that results to random deaths. They were all likable and hilarious, and yet each one had a distinct trait that makes us acknowledge their depth as an individual.
But that's just it. There were so many side characters that not all were given the same amount of depth as the rest despite being in multiple scenes. This flaw left me a bit frustrated. It's such a waste of opportunity to have such a variety of interesting characters that 13-episodes is not enough for us to learn each and every single one of their past. Although I'm aware that not everyone should be discussed, it makes me wonder what were their lives before they got in the purgatory.
Enjoyment: (9/10)
The sheer amount of dark comedy in this show is just astounding. I have never laughed and ugly cried so hard at the same time in different transitions (I must've looked ridiculous to my family while watching this haha). The story in itself is impeccable and the characters were all amusing and hilarious in every scene. And as a fan of notorious plot twists, this one utterly blew my mind (and my emotions).
Overall: (9/10)
I would've given this a 10 if they lengthen the show a little more and gave the side characters their share of story to add more depth. And although the finale may seem bittersweet, I honestly think that it's the perfect conclusion for all the damaged souls who have moved past their regrets and have finally made its way to peace.
Still, It's such a strange paradox that I'd be laughing at a character's death and yet crying at a their time of life. I've only watched this show when I was a teen and even years later, I could never forget the immense feeling it gave me. Even under only 13 episodes, I was able to feel a variety of intense emotions that I never thought I imagined. To be able to feel so overwhelmed over the song, the characters, and the story, Angel Beats! is a true rare gem that new shows today could never hold a candle to.

Story: (7/10)
I know amusement parks aren’t really my thing, but this anime really turned my perspective around. The first episode started out a bit weird and I honestly don’t blame some people who dropped it, but as the story progresses, you’ll find yourself binging it till the end. The concept of the story, wherein they have to get 500,000 visitors, may be typical (bc honestly we know how it ends), but the process of how it is shown in each episode is so random (in a good way.) We are introduced with weird characters and strange plots that make us curious to see how it

all fits in the end.

No wonder the visuals are so gorgeous, its studio is KyoAni! The details of every scene and the fluidity in animation is just breathtaking. The drawing of Kanie is so good that I honestly have a crush on him hahaha. Even Sento and Latifa looks so beautiful.
Sound: (7/10)
So happy to hear one of my favorite VA’s, Uchiyama Kouki, who voices Kanie Seiya. Also, the intro is such a bop and the sound effects nicely fits when portraying humor.
Character: (7/10)
At first glance, I was a bit appalled seeing the unusual characters, especially the mascots. It honestly didn’t make the anime look attractive. If they were drawn normally like the other 3, maybe the views would escalate a bit. That is, my first thought when I started watching this show. Over the time I’ve come to realize the reason why they were drawn that way and eventually loved each character on the show.
I was honestly hoping for a little more romance between Kanie and Sento ❤️ Haha. They had such good chemistry (not to mention both are good-looking) that I felt giddy even at the most normal interactions. Hopefully in the next season (if there is one), their relationship gets to expand a bit more.
Latifa, on the other hand, is a beautiful character. But because her presence wasn’t revealed much throughout the episodes, I couldn’t really empathize with her. SPOILER-is!:The twist in the end was good, but it didn’t really leave a deep mark that could get myself to tear up.
Enjoyment: (8/10)
Let me just say that this anime is COMEDY GOLD! The humor in this show is just so ridiculously good that I had to repeat some scenes just to get a good laugh. Also, the build-up of improving the amusement park was exciting and I enjoyed each episode with all of its randomness that comes along with it. Lastly, the ending was just utterly wholesome. I knew they were gonna make it, but I never expected that the process would be so thrilling.
Overall: (7/10)
Honestly, it’s not KyoAni’s best work, but it is really entertaining. If you’re looking for a feel-good anime, then I would really recommend this. This anime is really underrated and if you’re hesitating because of some of the weird characters (I get it bc I too felt the same way), don’t worry you’ll eventually surpass that feeling and start loving their quirks.

Story: (7/10)
It was okay. The concept was pretty decent and a little bit cliché, but it was still fun to watch. The first couple of episodes started off with a great hype but then turned generic towards the end. Honestly, I was hoping for a whole class of badass magic users or at least have more characters get involved instead of having the story revolve on the usual three. But I guess that’s just my bias.
Art: (8/10)
The quality of animation is really good. The magic effects looked cool and most actions scenes were fluid. But what surprised me most was how this typical light-hearted and
...
comedic anime could have scenes that appeared quite disturbing. For example, SPOILER ALERT!: the corpse of Leos. Even the facial expressions of terror and anger among the characters sends me chills.
Sound: (8/10)
Loved their ost! Both intro and outro were decent as well.
Characters: (7/10)
I loved how the anime started out by giving the main character, Glenn, some complexity who went 180 degrees from loving magic as a child to loathing it as an adult. It gives us a little hint of mystery to his past and identity underneath all that goofy-teacher facade. I also loved how he isn’t the typical OP hero. It may seem so at first, but later on you’ll realize that’s really his true power with limits. The two sisters were great as well, though I was hoping for Sistine to be a bit more powerful but I get it, they’re still kids after all. The only thing that made me unease with the plot was the amount of subtle student-teacher puppy love (even if it’s only one-sided) as well as some sexual humor. Idk, I just don’t really find it appropriate imo.
Enjoyment: (8/10)
I’ve always been interested on animes that take place in a school setting, regardless of the genre, so watching this anime really got me thrilled. It had such good comedy that got me bawling and the characters were likeable and good-looking. The magic scenes whether in combat or in class always amazes me.
Overall: (7/10)
I didn’t really have much expectations on the anime so I wasn’t really disappointed like the others since I’m the type who watches whatever anime that is available on Netflix PH 😅 haha. Still, the story was exciting and enjoyable. It may not be the kind of anime that really sticks with you, but it’ll still give you an exhilarating ride of emotions.
