Interesting characters, well drawn and generally enjoyable but the show it self doesn't really get past the introduction stage and ends without really starting anything. I'd only recommend this to you if you intend to read the manga after your done.

So as I was watching the first Gintama Series and about half way through I got sad and almost broke down into tears. Why? Because this is probably one of the Greatest Anime's ever made and I was terrified that it was coming to an end. But as to my good fortune before I was completely forsaken and gave up on living I caught wind of a season two and received the strength to carry on. Alright, I just finished the series a minute ago and I'm gonna tell you the main problem, I had with this anime. Purely and Simply this anime to me has not a single piece of originality, from the character personalities to the story it self it seems pretty much based of of other good anime series.
