Sonny boy should be seen as more of a collection if ideas rather than a cinematic piece. In all honesty i can say the narrative is lackluster and should have been developed better in order to create a coherent storyline. It tries to convey different aspects of human society and explores deeper to the meaning behind it in an abstract way. Same can be said for tatami galaxy, it cant really be graded as that heartfelt romance but an attempt to express realistic choices of an individual using a residual plot that can leave you mindfucked

Although one clearly outshines the other, both protagonists attempt to discover more about the world around them. Phos has always been laid back never really dealing with the stress her race are actually facing and Chakuro is clueless about the history of his people. The setting of the story is put to a stage where emotions are kept more reserved and roles in society have to be met in order for them to survive. Both shows are extremely immersive leaving viewers in awe at the state the characters are living in. Another thing is the fight scenes in the show both are peaceful and yet full of passion and feeling. Overall shows like these make an impact at the audience watching making them more introspective about the world they live in too.

Death Parade

Anime such like these attempt to bring out abstract themes that the current population struggles to fully understand. The main similarity is that they both showcase the vulnerability of humanity, focusing on the aspect of death that is inescapable. Its an episodic anime which somehow manages to interact all its plot points to a single source. There is a sense of fear and acceptance in Death Parade as the victims often are self aware of their mistakes. In Jigoku shoujo symbolism is a main factor in what the show tries to express as the human psyche. In the end both shows signify justice and a predestined judgement that all must go through.

They both have this eerie feel to it. Not as a main factor but like a side one that slowly becomes more present in later episodes. In fire force this is represented in a sort of secret organisation that tampers with the companies, religion and innate problem which are Infernals. Somehow it seems like everything is being manipulated and all are connected for a purpose. Same goes with Tanya but this time portrayed as a conspiracy of ridding the mc of her achievements. This slowly builds up to a strong story that watchers may or may not like, in my personal opinion Tanya is better at its overall tone and compelling plot while fire force has a unique narrative backed up with an engaging mystery. However they also have clear struggles, as there is much uneeded comedy and fanservice in fire force and a vague direction in tanya

Both are colourful anime which focuses less on the execution of the plot and more on the emotions and interactions of each character. They may either seem enjoyable for some ppl or extremely weak and flawed in every way.
