ok so I am just going to say this. this show is such a pleasant surprise. it was one of this shows I thought I am going to really hate and that's going to suck but it's a really good show. I don't see enough people talking about it and it's a shame. I think that because people already watches a lot of shows this season and that this ne didn't start earlier like another pleasant surprise a place further than the universe it doesn't get it's recognition while it's at least as good and one of the best this season.
plot (7/10):
the plot is
...
pretty good. I really like how they write it so far but I do find it lacking in a few points. I think that overall the plot is good but not amazing. now I just want to address that since the plot is about ccamping in the winter I cant help but feel it was an amazing choice to wait to winter season to get this show out as I feel it might not have been as good to me if it was released in the summer or spring.
I also want to note some great things the show does which is to use a lot of texting to make the plot move and show the characters better and the fact that they simply explain camping things so well. I really like it.
characters (8/10):
I really thought about what to do in this category and I might be wrong or change my mind because this show's characters are great. I do however think they are lacking in a way that they are too similar. they are still a bit different but I hope the show will improve them. with that said I really love how they made the characters. they feel like actual goofy not too serious teenagers and honestly I really like the moments they are texting I their phones because it is so real (they even put some sorts of emojis in there). it also help building the characters and overall I found it great.
art (9/10):
while not being overwhelming or amazing like other shows in the season (amb and violet everarden) the art here is great especially for this show. it had miments of me bursting out laughing not because the moment was funny (I think the humor in this show isn't amazing on it's own)but rather because how the art conveyed it. it had a few moments where it tried to make something really beautiful but honestly I think it was ok at that. the art here really have a better impact at characters interactions.
sound (9/10):
let's talk about the soundtracks. I don't thnk they are amazing or anything but they have moments that are really good and the show knows how to use them.
now let's talk about the op. i usually dont talk much about the op but here the op is so good and i cant bring myself to skip it. it got humor, it got really nice music and the way it plays with visuals and credits is so good. really a great op.
now i think this category got most of it's point from va. they do such an excellent job! i mean seriously, i said the humor wont really work well without the art but the same for the characters. the acting can be so funny and so great. i could really symphatize with some of the characters at certain moments and i think a great deal to that shuld g to the va for doing such an excellent job.
overall (8/10):
listen guys if you got time watch this. so far it's a really good show and one of my top 5 and maybe even 3 of the season. it is really something special that made me, one of the laziest people youll ever meet thinking about going to camp. it's a great show, I recommend it very much, and let's hope this show will keep being great.
note: after watching 5 ep.

ok so before jumping into the review itself I would like a moment to explain what a deep show is as I see nowadays a lot of people which are using the word incorrectly (in my opinion at least). people says that a deep show is a show that tries to convey ideas. that's correct, the thing is every show, even kids show, have it's own ideas and outlook in the world. so what's a deep show? a show that is to put it simply, philosophical. it can be a shounen with many ideas or a horror show with many ideas. what's more, a
...
deep show. so what's a deep show? a show with an idea/s that are really important in the show structure itself, which means the show tries to convey these ideas as much as possible while remaining a show, which means it does so through the plot/writing/characters. another thing people like to do id to say deep show are good. being deep certainly means it's got more quality but that depends on how the show convey the ideas while remaining well built.
so is devilman crybaby is a deep show? more than your usual show at the current meta of anime, not as deep as most people will tell you. it's not the deepest show to come out in the last four months and not even in the top 5 (maybe not even in the top 10, but with so many good anime I tend to forget some shows).
so now that I ate your head let's get to the real business.
plot (4/10):
the plot wasn't good it had a few nice moments but nothing to talk about as I wont go into details. ill say the finale was bs, and the rest was ok minus, with a few good moments. the writing was lazy and there were things that were thrown into the show without a real reason (why would miko make pig noises while touching herself). the show replaced plot with plot ( a term means fan service and a lot that was unnecessary). overall, the writing was lazy and bad for the most part and far from a what this show needed. it also failed at conveying it's messages in a good way for the most part (ill admit there were some moments that turned out well but failed at making me think anything or take something unlike good shows that started last season and even in this one).
characters (2/10):
why 2?cause out of the whole stupid cast that was written poorly there were something like 2 characters that were fine (the best the show managed) while the rest were awful. if you want to know who I am talking about than it's ryo and one of the rappers. overall, bad characters that wasted my precious time.
art (8/10):
the art in the show is the second best thing about it. the animation is good as well. i dont think it was outstanding and it failed a few times that were really important but overall, it was good.
soundtracks (10/10):
something i think evryone will agree on is that the soundtracks are awsome. the va does a good job overall (not outstanding) and the rapping was just fresh, and fun and one of the better things in soundtracks.
overall (6/10):
ok so honestly i feel like a five is a better fit but just as i said, a deep show earns a bit of a bonus from me as i want to see more deep shows. do i recomend this anime? listen, honestly there are so many better shows to watch but if you want a reason to watch animated characters fuck each other than go for it (not that there is something wrong with that m friends). so i think that overall i wont recommend the show unless you want to watch some fucked up hentai (jk jk, but seriously there are muvh better shows). what i do recommend is to listen to the ost of the show as it's the best thing to vome out of it.

plot (6/10):
the plot was nice. I didn't found it interesting nor did I thought it had a special twists to it. it also had a few asspulls I didn't really like and it didn't explain things thoroughly. it had it's good, nice moments but I didn't feel the show did anything to make up for it, except for the ending which was done good so I am willing to spare it some extra points.
art (8/10):
this show had it's moments. it also had a lot of moments I didn't like. there was some use in cgi that wasn't done properly. overall, the animation was pretty
...
good.
sound (9/10):
Ill start with the va. I feel like they didn't do their job the best as there were cringy moments. they did an overall decent job but I think the show lack a bit here.
let's talk about the soundtracks. they were amazing. the use of them was done greatly most of the times and honestly, it made me feel more at the ending scene then I would normally. overall, the soundtracks and op were amazing. good job inuyashiki, good job.
characters (5/10):
I didn't like most of the characters. while I feel they got some good character building I feel like it was too rushed and could have been done better. I feel like we needed to get some more focus on inuyashiki's family and hiro's family and that the most of the supporting characters weren't that good. overall, they are fine, but I couldn't care for them at all until the last ep, and even then not enough. (but we got trump so everything is perfect).
overall (7/10):
I recommend to watch it. it's not an amazing show and it wasn't that great. I think the first few ep were pretty good (nothing too special) and the last ep was great. seriously, watch the show just so you can see the last ep and trump in anime. in a more serious note, I think it's an interesting ride. it's defiantly not the show of the season but it's a nice ride.

story (7/10):
the plot wasn't that interesting. it had a few nice plot twist and overall it wasn't really bad but it wasn't good. it had parts that didn't made sense and it wasn't interesting most of the time. the thing I liked the most about it is the twist at the end and nezumi's powers. overall, it wasn't good.
characters (5/10):
the show took the time to do every character it's development. it didn't do it well in a lot of the times. there were some characters that were fine and nice but nothing really good overall.
art (3/10):
in the beginning the art looked like it's
...
going to be fine. nothing too special but nothing bad. and then it became hard to watch. I wont get in details here but it just looked bad.
sound (7/10):
nothing special with the soundtracks. they were fine usually but nothing exceptional or amazing.
I give most of the points here because I enjoyed the va work. I think they did a fine job and were great fits for their characters.
overall (5/10):
I think this show didn't do anything special and I don't recommend to watch it. I honestly watched it because I kept hoping for that plot twist to change it all but it didn't give me anything I liked expect to nezumi's powers.

plot (8/10):
konohabna kitan doesn't have one plot. every ep is usually self contained and while there are ep with plots that are connected to other eps plots it's usually something minor. this show plot is a rollercoaster. there were some really interesting and well written plot but it had a more weak then strong ep imo and even the strong ones didn't do anything that I think was really good and made me more invested in the show (one ep was really remarkable imo but there are more parts with plot that is not particularly interesting than ones that are really interesting). overall, the
...
plot is quite good and fun at times but it's not remarkable.
sound (7/10):
Ill start with the voice actors. there were a few voice actors that were quite good and I really enjoyed from their performance. and while most va did a fine job overall I had a few times that I find their performance to be a bit quirky and less then what I would like or except. I personally didn't love yuzu's voice but that's a matter of your preference.
as for the soundtracks I personally founded them to be fine and I think they weren't used to their fullest as there were moments I found the soundtracks to be misused. overall, it was fine.
art (9/10):
I think the art in this series was quite good. it was really steady and had a few moments that were beautiful. I also really liked the chibi moments as they were funny and sit the tone well. I don't think the artstyle always sat the tone of the show but it's usually does and I like it.
characters (7/10):
the characters is a rollercoaster as well. I think that in terms of character development there was too much to some characters and too little to others. I also think some characters had a lot of potential the character development took out of them as it felt wrong and bad for the characters. in the main cast there are more characters I dislike then like but even the characters I dislike are overall fine (most of the time). the side characters are nice overall and I think were done well for the most part.
overall (8/10):
the show is lovable and nice. it have weak points and is not the best of the season but it was a really nice surprise. I like the show and think it was done quite well overall. if you have some spare time and you look for a heartwarming show with some great characters (sakura forever!) than I recommend you to watch this.

it's a beautiful show with a lot of potential wasted.
I am not going to go into too much details and ill add more to the review at the end of the weak when the show is over.
art (8/10):
the chibi art sit well with the show. it's not doing anything out of ordinary but it's still nice and enjoyable.
sound (8/10):
the soundtracks, ops and eds are quite good. I think that the soundtracks are used t wrong time or places at times as it doesn't always sit the ton of the show or the ep.
the voice actors was fine most of the times but I feel like
...
there were a few times it was bad (not something major). overall, the va are doing a fine show.
plot (6/10):
this show doesn't really have one plot. every ep got it's own plot/s. sadly enough it don't do anything really good with it. I think this is one of the show bigger weaknesses as it doesn't make you care enough about what happen at the screen. I think it's also because the characters aren't good enough and ill get to it. overall, the plot isn't what it needs to be nor is good enough for this show.
characters (5/10):
the characters aren't good enough. there is almost no character development nor are they something really good. I like chito a bit and I hate yuu. the supporting (which isn't usually there) was good and I liked it. I feel like the characters were needed to be written better for this show to be a really good one. overall, the characters are no more than fine and bad a times.
overall (8/10):
so if you noticed it doesn't look like the show should have 8 as an overall score. why then? because this is a philosophical show with really interesting ideas. the ideas it tries to convey are really interesting and at times are even close to me. unfortunately the show fails in conveying most of it's ideas in a way that will actually make me think about them or care about it. I know a lot of the people watching this show will give it a 10/10 or stuff like that because the show is deep but this is wrong. you shouldn't just give the highest score to a show if it's deep. I added something like 1 point to the show overall score because you don't see a lot of shows like it and because it's interesting ideas but I wish the show would have been better at conveying the ideas and make you care about them.
so do I recommend the show? sure. it's nice. if you look for something deep then this show is good. but don't expect too much out of it. expect to these ideas there isn't much to the show.

this show is another excellent show on the sport genera from production ig. before talking about the plot and characters ill talk about the animation and soundtracks, as I feel these are important to this show almost if not as much as the characters and plot (ill usually forgive bad animation/soundtracks if the story and characters are well made).
art (10/10):
I really like production ig animation. in ballroom the animation was what I expected and was just great. this kind of art style appeal to me a lot and while it's a matter of taste I don't think there will be many people if
...
any that will tell you the animation is bad. the only thing you might find weird is the long neck the characters have (a common thing in the dance world) and that they don't animate enough of the dance but rather more of one shots of it. I still found these one shots to be incredible and when they animate the dance it's beautiful.
another thing I liked was the fact that even when the show do some dresses that are sexy you wont feel like this is a fan service unless the show wants you too (chi-chan dance half naked and it doesn't feel at all like fan service) but rather the whole thing feel like part of the dance (as it should be) and just something natural. the art work great for the show and help the plot and characters feel smother.
sound (10/10):
ill start with the voice actors. I think they did a fine job. not too many highlights but no bad parts really.
the soundtracks and ops are wonderful. they fit the tone of the show and of course the dance. the show's soundtracks and ops will make you want to dance too. they are really good. it help the plot feel more alive and make you more invested n it.
plot (7/10):
I don't like to go to specifics about the plot. ill say this can be really interesting and great plot at times but it has it's downfalls. at some points I didn't really care about the plot and there was this one asspull (you know what I am talking about if you seen the show). overall, not the most interesting or amazing plot but not bad.
characters (7/10):
I wont go in details here as well. let's just say it's going to be a ride. some characters are good, some mediocre and some plainly bad (not a lot though). the mains got enough development but it could have been handled better. the side characters either got really good development (best example is kugimya), bad development (best example is akira) or were just left without showing up enough or get enough development (why did you leave hongou!). overall, some characters are great some are not so great. still worth watching.
overall (8/10):
the show is quite good and I recommend you to watch it. it's not a long show and is a nice ride. don't think this show is an amazing masterpiece but is indeed worth watching.

first review here on mal.
so this show is really good. i am not really going to talk about the plot in specifics nor get into the show itself too much but just write what i liked and what i didn't like about the show. so let's get started.
plot (9/10)
this show was a bit of a slow starter to me. i didn't really liked it immediately nor did it do something i thought was special but as the plot goes on this show became one of my favorite this season. the most amazing thing in the plot is how they can write things and make them
...
look natural. there were lots of points that i thought "well, how will you get out of this without ruining the show?" and they succeeded in doing so in a natural and beautiful way. the comedy was quite good as well (nothing that really made me laugh hard but it was good). to me the coincidence part was a bit hard but they went out of it easily pretty good. there were points in the plot that i found a bit irritating (ending could have been better imo) but beside that it was great.
art (8/10):
nothing to say really. i really liked how they changed morioka look and the facial expressions are good but nothing really special.
sound (8/10):
i didn't really liked the op tbh. the va did a decent job but there were moments i founded to be irritating (a lot of time with morioka's va). and the soundtrack was good (really fit to the tone of the series).
character (7/10):
the characters felt a bit to bland for me at times. i also feel like a lot of character development (especially for morioka) wasn't done even though it was needed to be done. sakurai as well, i feel like his character wasn't developed enough. they did made me want to have our main due to be together but not enough. koiwai was the best side character. he was such a great character and i wanted to see more of him. i really liked his character and he is the best wingman ever. the rest of the side characters were underdeveloped and just weren't given enough screen time to be interesting. so i think they should have either put more focus on them or even less focus.
overall: 8/10
if you haven't watched it yet i recommend you to watch it, it's not a lot of time and is a great ride.
