Although I like writing long(ish) reviews, I'll keep it short with this one. Why? Because from what I've read so far, this LN doesn't deserve it.

Story 5 / 10
The concept of ラスボスの向こう側 (ラスボスのむこうがわ) [rasubosu no mukougawa] intrigued me somewhat. The idea of a main character playing the hidden final boss seemed interesting. The writing style wasn't god awful either yet it didn't appeal to me. I found the story lacking in depth as well.

Characters 3 / 10
Where this LN is lacking the most, however, is it's characters. The main character is dropped into another world. That's it... We don't explore his inner thoughts. And ... the ones he does have are bland and boring. The other characters aren't in any way interesting either.

Art 7 / 10
The art, though quite regular, is nothing to scoff at. It's good enough.

Enjoyment 4 / 10
It was a boring read and I wish I didn't read it at all. Don't waste your time on this one, you won't miss out on anything special. There are a lot better new releases about 異世界(いせかい) [Different World] stories out there.

I must say that I'm very disappointed with this LN. I kind of liked the concept of a final secret boss main character, but the writer failed to deliver. The only decent part about this LN is the art.

First of all I want to say that I consider this anime not only to be the best of this season (fall 2016) but also to be one of the best I've ever seen! If you like a feel good show about funny characters trying to make it in the world of voice acting than this anime is definitely for you!

Story 10 / 10

The story itself starts out with Chitose who, with the help of her brother / manager, is making her big deput as one of the main characters of a new anime. She's awful at first, but gradually gets better by learning ... from her fellow actors / friends.

What struck me as odd when taking a look at the genres after finishing this amazing anime is that the only genre included is "slice of life". The great thing about this anime is not just the interaction between the characters but also the amazing jokes and the drama (that will definitely surprise you since it starts out very mellow and fun).
As I said before this show is a feel good show and one of the best out there! Normally when I watch the last episode of an anime I feel bad since it's over (or relieved when it was awful), but when I watched the last episode of Girlish Number I sat there with a smile on my face, looking back at an incredibly wonderful experience!

The plot itself was amazing but slow moving at times which I'm sure could bother some of you (one of the few flaws this anime had). This is unfortunate as I think that the writers could have spend some of the screen time on more interesting things...



Characters 10 / 10
The characters are AMAZING! Although Chitose was the main character, I felt a connection with every single one of them, especially Kuzu-san, who to me will always be a very memorable character. In fact, I could watch this whole anime again just for Kuzu alone! What I mean by this is that every character was very interesting: I'm sure that for every character, major and minor, a whole new anime could be created, that's how good the character development of this show is. Every character gets enough screen time to make them interesting and at the end of the show they all seem to have made great progress, which leaves you with a very satisfying feeling.


Art 10 / 10
Now this is of course very personal, but when I think of amazing art I think of Girlish Number. It's really colorful, the character design is amazing and the backgrounds were beautiful! Since art is incredibly subjective I'll keep it short: when I think of anime art, this is what I want to see.


Sound 8 / 10
I like the OP theme so much that I'm listening to it right now while I'm typing this! The ED theme is awesome, and the OST of the show is great too. Giving the soundtrack a 10 would be an exaggeration since I can name a few other anime that have a better soundtrack then Girlish Number, but nonetheless the great OP theme and the nice OST still deserve an 8 out of 10.

I REALLY enjoyed Girlish Number and loved every minute of it! I will never forget this wonderful anime and to be honest, since I'm finishing up all the anime of this season (fall 2016) I think I'll rewatch this one before Winter 2017 starts to experience these great characters once more!

For anyone who likes slice of life this is a no-brainer: watch this great anime because I'm sure it'll leave a smile on your face just like it did with me. For the people out there who have little experience with the slice of life genre or aren't really a fan I still recommend this one to you guys. Why? Because this show could change your view on the slice of life genre completely with it's funny cast of characters, beautiful art and great soundtrack!

Overall I rate this anime a 10 out of 10. And as the OP theme song starts playing again I want to thank you guys for reading my review! I hope Girlish Number will leave a smile on your face after you watch the last episode, just like it did with me.

Story 7 / 10

Jormungand's story is good, although it isn't special. The episodes may seem a little chaotic at times as this anime thinks the action is more important the the plot line. The action is indeed very good, but because of the heavy focus on action, the actual story suffers. Don't get me wrong, all episodes form a continuous storyline with a clear beginning and an end. It's just that this anime could have been more if it tried harder(or so I like to believe). It is clear that the writers tried to make a complex story. Unfortunately, Jormungand fails at this aspect. ... The background of all characters are in fact interesting. Also, every episode is fun to watch, as it has some really good action. But I would never call the story of Jormungand complex.

The episodes are pretty straight forward: someone orders our weapons - we go there - something that we expected would go wrong did go wrong - since we prepared for it we easily solve the problem and get the money anyway. That's basically every episode of Jormungand. It isn't boring, absolutely not! The characters are nicely written and there is some comedy. Also there is a lot of action which is really good.

The story of this anime is good, but not great. For that reason it deserves a 7 out of 10


Art 8 / 10

The art is good, not great, but good. The art is somewhat angular, reminding me just a little of Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor. I mean, you can barely compare it, but I think you'll get the same feeling after watching a couple of episodes. The art style fits Jormungand. The angular style makes this show more mature, which is good. It would've been weird to use coloful art. Because of this art form, characters really had a distinctive look, which I really liked.


Sound 8 / 10

I really like Jormungand's OST as I did its Opening theme. The opening theme is one of my favorite ones in fact. The VA's fit the characters really well and I still listen to the OST of Jormungand
Also, who can forget: "Her name is Koko, she is loco, I say OH NO!" I still got that one in my head!


Characterrs 6 / 10

The characters were fine, but not memorable. You won't really sympathize with any of them, with maybe the child soldier as the exception. Although the cast was pretty good, to me there were too many characters. It's hard to bond with any of them if there are so many running around.

The characters themselves didn't really go through any kind of change or growth. They started out the same and ended the same. Even one of the main characters, the child soldier, Jonathan Mar, who had a lot of potential for character development, did not change at all. To me, the only memorable character was one of the two main characters: Koko Hekmatyar, who carried the whole show in my opinion.


Enjoyment 8 / 10

I might seem a bit negative, but Jormungand is in fact a very good show. It could've been better, but it is definitely good! I really enjoyed this anime. It has its funny moments, the action is really good and I especially like one of the two main characters: Koko Hekmatyar. I don't recommend this anime to people who like anime heavily focused on their story, since you won't get that with Jormungand.

Jormungand is very good but has its flaws. It lacks a good set of characters, and if it was up to me half of the cast would have been cut.

The art is very good, reminding me a little of Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor.

The music fits the show really well. The opening theme is awesome and the OST is good too.

Overall Jormungand is very good, but definately not the best you'll ever see.

Story 10 / 10

Toradora!'s story is an interesting one. Although it is a romance anime, it completely disregards the regular protocol of what a romance anime should be. Characters seem to have their own will more than ever, disregarding the plot line completely, if necessary, to achieve their own personal goals. Characters exist solely for themselves in this anime. What I mean by this is that in a normal romance anime, characters take certain steps in life towards the same goal: to eventually get a guy and a girl together. These steps seem often forced or unnatural, since it doesn't take the minor characters ... feelings and dreams into consideration. They are just there to eventually get the two main characters together.

This, however, is not the case in Toradora!. This anime makes sure to highlight multiple characters to show off their dreams, desires and thoughts, and makes them take steps in life to get what they want. Even though there are in fact two main characters, there will be no guarantee if they end up together or not. These independent characters make Toradora!'s story a lot better than any other romance anime.

Toradora! itself is very entertaining. Don't think you will have figured out the plot by just watching a couple of episodes. So much will happen in Toradora! that you will start to doubt who will end up with whom. And sometimes you'll even start wondering if anyone is going to end up together.

The comedy of Toradora! is really good as well. Again, if it wasn't for the characters, this anime wouldn't be as good as it is. The interaction between characters is very well written, which makes for tons of funny scenes which will make you laugh out loud.

The story is very well written and incredibly entertaining. It made me watch episode after episode non-stop. For that reason, I give Toradora! a 10 out of 10 concerning the story.


Characters 10 / 10

As you can already guess: the characters deserve a 10 out of 10! All characters, even the ones that make minor appearences, are incredibly well written. All characters, even the minor ones, are witty and relatable. They are easy to sympathize with and act very independant, yet care a lot for each other. In the final episodes of Toradora!, you will know, and love, a vast cast of characters, who form a strong bond.


Art 9 / 10

I really like Toradora!'s art. It's not a 10, but the art suits the anime very well. For that reason the art deserves a 9 out of 10


Sound 10 / 10

I love the OST as well as all the opening themes and ending themes of Toradora!. The music during dramatic as well as romantic scenes fits these scenes really well. It is because of the music certain scenes will have a big impact on you.


Enjoyment 10 / 10

I enjoyed Toradora! from episode 1 to the final epsiode! Toradora! truly is a masterpiece and the best romance anime I have ever seen.

Toradora! definately deserves a 10 out of 10. This anime needs its characters to carry the story, as most romance and drama anime do. Luckily, Toradora!'s characters are amazing! One of the best casts I have ever seen might I add. All characters are interesting, witty and easy to relate to. They interact very nicely with each other and form a strong bond.

The art is really good and the music is outstanding!

Overall I have enjoyed Toradora! more than I could have imagined before starting this wonderful anime. I recommend Toradora! to everyone, even to people who are new to the romance genre, or dislike the romance genre. Since Toradora! has no traditional romance story, I know that even people who dislike the romance genre will like this one.

Altough Joker Game isn't a bad anime, I do not recommend this anime to anyone. If you do feel the need to watch Joker Game though, I advice you to only watch the first couple of episodes. After the first couple the story becomes worse and worse.

Joker Game's story is not something to write home about. It starts out very promising with a newly established spy agency who have to gather intell for Japan during the second world war. The plot, however, is very confusing and although this anime tries to make it look like all episodes are connected to each ... other, all episodes look more like separate stories than one big plot line.
Note that there is nothing wrong with a confusing story. If a story is well written, the confusing part can be used to even improve the show. Unfortunately, that's not the case with Joker Game.

Characters 3 / 10

There is no character development at all. You won't bond with the characters and most of the time you won't even know their names, or who they are for that matter. This results in a lot of frustrating confusion. Characters are boring and seem to be all the same.

Art 7 / 10

The art is good, but not great.

Sound 5 / 10

Definately insufficient. There is absolutely nothing special about the music in Joker Game.

Not taking into account the last couple of episodes, I did enjoy Joker Game somewhat. The first couple of episodes were pretty good. I especially liked the train episode.

In my own anime list, I rated Joker Game as a 6 / 10. I did this because the first couple of episodes were good enough to make this, at least to me, enjoyable enough to not rate it as
insufficient.
Since I'm trying to be as objective as possible while writing reviews, I have to take the last episodes into account too. For that reason Joker Game deserves a 5 / 10 as nothing can justify these last horrible episodes.

I just finished Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo 2 minutes ago and I need to get this of my chest so be prepared because this is going to be the first time ever I'm giving an anime 10 out of 10 on story, art, sound, characters and enjoyment!

Story 10 / 10

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo has THE best story I've ever had the pleasure to experience! The story initially starts off with Sorata, a guy who gets kicked out of his regular dorm for keeping cats. He has to move to Sakurasou where cats are allowed to be kept.
Eventually he has to pick up ... this girl from the station and from that moment on this amazing anime takes off.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is not some bland, average anime with average, non-developing characters who are just there to slightly entertain you enough so you won't drop the anime before reaching its final episode.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo doesn't have a lot dramatic moments. It relies heavily on its comedy, which is realy, REALY good. But when it does reach out for drama, it'll hit you right in your heart. I won't spoil anything, but prepare yourself for episode 23, that one even got me!

The dynamic between the characters is what makes Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo so amazing. I can honestly say I've never seen an anime do a better job at the ineraction between characters and displaying the feelings and dreams of all of them. You will even sympathize with characters that play a small part in this anime. It is because of this dynamic that all 6 characters are needed to make Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo what it is: the best anime you'll ever watch.


Art 10 / 10

The art is outstanding! The art is very colorful altough it doesn't take the mature part away of the anime. I've never seen a nicer art style than this one. It is definately unique.

Sound 10 / 10

The music will make you cry. That's a warning to anyone who hasn't seen this one yet. It compliments the dramatic scenes so very well that tears will start flowing. Also, both the opening themes and ending themes are the best I've ever heard.

Characters 10 / 10

The characters of Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo are the number 1 thing that makes this anime so special. They all have different dreams, ideals and backgrounds, yet they all get along really well and care for each other. Their bond and friendship seems to be the only thing keeping a couple of characters standing after some aweful occurrences they have to go through.
As I said before: it is the dynamic between all these characters that make this anime the number 10 it deserves.

I've never liked an anime as much as I'm doing right now with Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. It is so good that I'll be rewatching it starting tomorrow.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is something special. The story and characters develop incredibly well and the story is touching yet funny at the same time.
The art is unique as is the music.

To end this review I will say this: Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo was so good, that the meaning of a 10 out of 10 changed for me. Tomorrow I'm going to demote tons of anime in my list, as this one is the absolute number 10. I tend to recommend anime to only a certain group of people who like a certain genre, but this time, I recommend Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo to everyone.

I recommend this anime to a mature audience who likes a laid back and funny story about friends just doing fun things together.

To most, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is a fairly average anime. And to be honest, I can't help but to agree with them. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai's story and characters aren't the best you'll ever see, but they are enjoyable enough to have a fun ride nonetheless. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is a story about friendship and secret love.

Story 7 / 10

The story of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is nothing special. It's about a couple of friends, 1 ... guy and his 6 female friends (of which one is his little sister and one is a boy. You'll get that one after watching a couple of episodes) just hanging out and doing fun things like karaoke or going to the pool. There is nothing wrong with a simple plot line as this one. Good writers can make a plot line as this one into a masterpiece. Unfortunately, that's not the case with Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. The story is good, but far from being a masterpiece. The characters nor the plot line develop quite well enough to make you fall in love with the anime. The story itself is too heavily focused on the haram and ecchi part, which is unfortunate. The characters could have been more interesting, making the story more interesting, if only they had focused more on the story line and character development.

The characters and the story are good enough for a 7 out of 10, but lack anything special for it to be an 8 or more.


Art 9 / 10

I absolutely love the art! It's colorful yet mature and it captures the theme of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai very well!

The sound on the other hand is nothing special. Then again, what music could've been used to really make a difference? The people who made this anime made a good choice just sticking to what was necessary.


Characters 8 / 10

The characters, although not developing throughout the story, were in fact very good. Every character was interesting in his or her own way and none of them were neglected or less important throughout the show. All characters had their own quirks which made for hilarious situations. There were conflicts between characters, love triangles and much more.

Overall the characters, although I wished for them to develop more overtime to show progression, were very nicely done and definately deserve an 8 out of 10.

I have enjoyed this anime very much. The story is great (lacking a bit, but not too much) and the characters were very interesting. The show had only one or two dull moments but overall was very interesting and funny.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is a very average anime, heavily focused on harem and ecchi, which I find unfortunate, as the story could've been much more than it already is.

Steins;Gate starts of very confusing, but I can ensure you that this anime is a masterpiece. The whole story revolves around time travel, but in a way never shown before. The writers did a great job on making a story about time travel, done by so many, and make it their own. They made it into something new and refreshing. Someting that confuses you at first but when revealing its true self, it turns out to be an amazing ride full of friendship, romance and mystery!

The characters are very well developted througout the story, which is very impressive considering that it ... would've been so easy to just focus on the time traval part, which would give enough material as it is.

Because of the amazing character development and their refreshing take on the time traveling genre, I give Steins;Gate's story a 10 out of 10


Art 8 / 10

Steins;Gate art is not regular anime art, that is for sure. Although I personally like regular anime art a lot more, Steins;Gate's art does fit the anime quite well. The anime wouldn't have been as dark and mysterious if normal anime art was used. A smart choice.


Sound 8 / 10

Steins;Gate's music was really good. The OST was very good and both the opening theme as the ending theme were astonishing.


Characters 9 / 10

Steins;Gate has a great cast of characters:
Okabe Rintarou: weird but heroic (and a mad scientist of course)
Makise Kurisu: stubborn but sweet
Shiina Mayuri: The nicest girl you'll ever meet
Hashida Itaru: 変態！ (PERVERT!)
and many more!

The characters are very well developed throughout the story. They will go through a lot of awful stuff together and you will definately bond with them.

Steins;Gate has one amazing story line! The first episode will be really confusing, but please continue watching, because a great anime will reveal itself. Steins;Gate is one of the best anime I have ever watched and I doubt another anime will ever take its place. I hope this same thing will happen to you too ;)

Steins;Gate will be very confusing at first but a great plot line will reveal itself very shortly, don't worry! The art is different but suits the anime really well. Both the OST as the opening and ending theme were really good and the characters were simply amazing.

Overall I have enjoyed Steins;Gate more than I thought I would. If you haven't watched this masterpiece yet, than I implore you to do so as soon as possible because you are missing out on one of the best animes of all time.

I recommend Kokoro Connect to everyone who loves the slice of life and romance genre

Story 10 / 10

Kokoro Connect is one of my personal favorites.

The story itself is absolutely amazing. The writers take something as switching bodies, what has been done over and over by other movies and turn it into something unbelievably good! The way the characters develop throughout the show is outstanding: when you think you know them well enough, another phenomenon occurs which changes your view on them completely. It is because of this great story telling that the overused idea of switching bodies doesn't seem lame but exciting. Although I ... won't spoil anything for you, the other phenomena are even better than the first one, revealing more about the characters, peeling the superficial layer off these kids, showing their true selfs and their desires and dreams.

Because the story is so well written, even though it starts out with, in my opinion, such a boring plot as body switching, it definately desirves a 10 out of 10.


Art 8 / 10

I love the art of Kokoro Connect. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty normal for an anime, but that's why I like it so much. I don't think a different style would suit Kokoro Connect, so to me, they made a good choice just sticking to regular art.


Sound 7 / 10

The OST isn't anything special. The first ending theme of Kokoro Connect however is my favorite ending theme of all time. Look it up, it's called --> Kokoro no kara


Characters 10 / 10

If you would just watch the first couple of episodes of Kokoro Connect, you wouldn't give the characters 10 out of 10. No way you'd give them 10 out of 10. They would be pretty bland: 7 / 10 tops. All characters have their own certain traits.
Inaba is bossy, cold and strong, Taichi is a goody two-shoes, Nagase is always cheery, Aoki is laid-back and Yui loves karate and cute things.

But through all these phenomena all these things will change. The characters develop so well, that eventually, you WILL bond with them. And at then end of this anime, you will definately give them a 10 out of 10.

I love this anime. It's truly a masterpiece. Unfortunately I got some interesting anime to watch right now, but the moment I don't, I'm going to rewatch this one. That's how good Kokoro Connect is. None of the episodes are boring or hard to get through. You don't need to sit through the first couple of episodes before you finaly get to the good part. Absolutely not! This anime is fun and interesting from episode 1 to the final episode!

The writers have taken something as overused as body switching and used it to create a masterpiece. The phenomena create characters that are completely stripped from their superficial layer and show what kind of people they really are.

The art is good though fairly regular and the sound, with a few exceptions (like kokoro no kara) is also nothing special.

The characters are at first glance normal but reveal themselves to be much more than that.

Overall Kokoro Connect is a masterpiece which I recommend to everyone!

I recommend this anime to people who love ganking in MMORPG's. If ganking is not your thing, than for the love of god do not watch this anime!

Overlord had a lot of potential. As you can read in the discription, Overlord is about the MMORPG Yggdrasil in which the main character gets stuck in said MMORPG. With his loyal servants he now plans to take over the world.

Everything in this description is true, except the part about taking over the world, which is the MOST IMPORTANT PART! I will not spoil anything for you, but this show is not about taking over the world. ... Its about the main character, together with his loyal servants, protecting and helping the minor settlements around his dungeon. He does this with the intent of eventually conquering the world but I think even you can agree that if there is no conquering going on, you can't really talk about the main character conquering the world, can you?

The story itself is pretty bland. There aren't any plot twists or psychological battles. Want to know why? Because the main character is overpowered. And not just a little overpowered. This guy kills everything in a single blow. He's like one punch man without the yellow suit. Because of this, there is never really any excitement. You never wonder if the main character is going to make it out alive, since you know he destroys everything on his path with effortless ease.

It's not all bad though. The story that is told, altough its not what you will expect, is fairly decent. The things that happen may grasp your attention enough so that you won't drop it before the final episode(as it did with me), but that is about it. For that reason, the story receives a 5 out of 10


Art 7 / 10

The art is pretty good. It's not amazing, but it's better than average. I can't really say a lot about this since the art isn't outstanding.

Sound 6 / 10

The battle music is pretty cool but overall I wouldn't listen to the OST of Overlord. Again, it's nothing special.

Characters 4 / 10

The characters are aweful in my opinion. I'm sorry for being so negative, but dear lord, they could have at least made the characters a little funnier. You won't really bond with the characters, except with the main character, who isn't interesting at all. He likes to reminisce about the good old days and is afraid of the women who adore him. He constantly complains about his surroundings and decides to lay low throughout the story even though he is the most powerful being in this MMORPG. It doesn't make any sense.

Most characters develop poorly and are not interesting at all. For that reason i give the characters a 4 out of 10

I'm sure that there are people who enjoy this anime and there's nothing wrong with that. Like I said before, It's not aweful as there are some good parts in this anime, but they mean too little to me to make this anime a good one.

This anime could have been something great. It could have been about vast armies fighting each other with the main character and his servants leading the troops. Instead you get some boring story about one punch man laying low for a while. This anime is not for me and I DO NOT recommend this. Unless you love every anime that is about MMORPG's or if you like ganking, you will not like this one.
