The 8th Son Are You Kidding Me! is a show following isekai protagonist Wendelin Von Benno Baumeister in his isekai adventure for miso and soy sauce. As one of the most prominent shows of the season, the show flexes not only a great story and endearing characters but also animation and art that you will never forget! The sound design is absolutely out of this world, with instruments that make you question what music truly is!
Story:
Main character [insert one off name here] is suddenly sent to a magical fantasy world one day! He wakes up in the household of a noble family but... what's this?
...
He's the 8th son and it's a poor family?! How dreadful! Follow Wendelin's journey from virgin 8th son to chad dragon slayer as he picks up girls left right and center. This story is so great that you'll really start to wonder if you're even watching anything!
Art:
The art is truly one of the most remarkable parts of the show. With it's absolutely unique animation and visual effects, you'll be sure to say "wow" every single frame of this show. Even I couldn't help but analyze every single frame. I must say that the magic circles and other fantasy effects are most definitely different from anything you've ever seen, with jaw-dropping CG to boot!
Sound:
[Ok not going to lie the OP kinda slaps]
Character:
The characters are what make this show go around, from the main character Wendelin to the wonderful Boru- Arnim (Definitely did not have to look this name up), you'll never see the same hair color twice! The quirk character traits and the beautiful writing will leave you staring at the screen. Even the sticks in this show have personality!
Verdict:
Overall this show was a blast from start to finish, with a diverse cast of hair colors and a wonderful and consistent storyline. Nothing says good isekai more than this show, even my brain couldn't tell what it was watching! Definitely give this a shot with your friends!
10/10 would watch again!
(Seriously bring some friends with you lest you want to lose your sanity.)
