The perfect ending for a story which message always has been a plain and simple "grow up and go outside". Story: 10 The story is pretty coherent and easy to follow, especially if you understood 3.0, almost everything that was on hold gets an explanation (even if not needed since this was never the point of Evangelion), maybe these explanations are a bit obscure but again, it's not the point of the story. Art: 9 The art is great and it's pretty interesting how the art style changes considerably during the movie, adapting to the different situations and remarking on the different acts of the film. ...

I'm coming here after rewatching the whole series. The only thing I can say is that the movie has been disappointing from every point of view.
The story was inconsistent and extremely forced, there was no need to add further background to the main story. This seems just out of place. The characters. The. Characters. I don't get how people don't see how all the personalities are distorted, in particular Okabe's behaviour is out of character and nonsensical for the entire duration of the movie. Compared to the series he seems a different person, and this can be applied to everyone on a minor degree. The art ... |
