Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai
|
Male MC coincidentally meets a variety of attractive girls and solves their problems for them, to the point that it is lampshaded in-universe. Yeah, they're both typical light novel stuff, and they're similar enough in theme to bring the other to mind for me. Bunny Girl Senpai features supernatural oddities, Certain Magical Index has superpowered battles.

While neither show seems similar on the surface level, thematically they're both at turns calm and emotional slice of life shows with the main character(s) learning about themselves through venturing outside of their comfort zone.

Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!
|
A non-human girl who is unfamiliar with the human world tries to achieve a large antagonistic goal, but finds herself foiled again and again, relying on the support of a friendly group of regular characters. Many comedy hijinks ensue, often character-based. These shows have a very similar feel. Ika Musume is more episodic and inventive, while Jahy-sama has more of a constant thread, with Jahy trying to achieve her aim every episode (when she's not distracted).

Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu.

Both feature characters who are unable to make friends due to extreme social problems. They meet a person who is able to help them begin to overcome their issues. Despite their differences in theme (Komi-san is primarily a comedy whereas Isshuukan Friends is a slice of life), they both tread very similar ground.
