I hate rom-coms which the male protagonist are always willing to scarifice his career, dreams or even his life to win the lead female's affection and what makes it worse when the female protagonist into dense character who is oblivious to everything around her and doesn't even remembers the poor guy's first name until much later into the story. (Yes, it actually happens)
Plot:-3.5/10 It is painfully slow, the romance itself never progress only much much later when the story is almost about to end. I hate it when that happens, it is like author didn't know how to fill in the gap in between,
...
so now that we have every cliché you can imagine from a stereotypical generic romance novel where the male lead 24/7 does his best and every possible way for the female lead to realize his genuine feelings for her, sort of like a game which I remind you male lead introduced it on his own. Now, I don't have any empirical data to back this up, but it seems to me romantic comedies and romantic stories like this in general cause women to have unrealistic expectations of men and what love should be like? which results male protagonist in romance stories like this stereotype white knight that I see in almost most of the shoujo manga these days. My apologies if I offend any women who loves this manga!
Characters:-2/10 You have your rich male lead prince charming ready and willing to sacrifice physically, mentally and emotionally , your generic dense poor female lead and a third wheel who suddenly falls for our female protagonist because we need two godly handsome shoujo characters competing with each other. (It is every female's fantasy, I think)
Artwork:-8/10 and that this is the only thing I have to give credit for. The artwork is quite good, sadly for me author never deals with the real issues that this manga suffers from.
Enjoyment-3/10 I know, you all must be thinking (Why am I reading a manga from a genre which is targeted towards young women then?). Well because I will say it flat out that romance in shounen is a big no no for me. They are boring, shallow, empty and tedious and take a very long time to develop into something or mostly just leave it in cliffhanger for viewer's or reader's imagination but very few of them are exception like Horimiya just like there are many exception for me in shoujo too like Lovely Complex, Kare Kano and Mars.

"Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?", the question that has been asked since the beginning of the mankind. Those were also my father's last words before he went on a long quest, a journey to pick up girls from the dungeon. Sadly, it has been 15 years now and he never returned or the girls that he was supposed to pick.
-Everyone used to say bad things about my Father, and I think they still do that he left his family behind to pick up girls from the dungeon, but I don't think he did that I believe him
...
in that he would leave us for such simple reason, there's gotta be some kind of mystery a real authentic reason about the illuminati "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls ". I always wondered why is it wrong, what makes it wrong? From the Early Men times, men have been trying all sorts of techniques and unique ways to woo women. Now that I think about it, Early Men used to live in caves and caves=dungeons, there gotta be many scenarios where our Ancestors would try to pick up girls from the caves they used to live in, but why is that? Does our Ancestors knows something that we don't? There is something enigmatic about "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" I think the revelation will answer the true existence of mankind, the answer to universe and everything. Wait a sec....I think i have figured out something if you think about the Japanese title of this anime which is "Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou ka" that has exactly 46 letters and if you subtract it by 4, then you have the number "42" which is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy number 42, and the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything". OMFG, does the Japanese knows something that we don't? Do they have a way to talk to our Ancestors? It is no wonder why they always come first when it comes to tech advancement.
-I think, I will continue to watch this anime for the Centillion time to figure out every mystery this anime has to offer and I believe you guys should do the same too because the true answer that I have achieved after so many decades of discoveries is it that, no, it is not wrong to pick up girls from the dungeon as you might not be prepared for the aftermath. I think my father had already figured out the answer which is why he was sounded so sure to go on a journey, some mishap must have happened in his Quest.

The thing that I loathe the most is when a harem story doesn't have a harem ending or at least an open ending. I mean, why the hell make a harem manga if you are not even gonna stick to it till the end? I know Polygamy is illegal in real life, but isn't that reason why we read or watch anime/manga? Yes, as you can see I am feeling super salty right now. It is like watching one of those horrible NTR hentai because I didn't get my favorite ship, and why the hell not? When you read
...
a harem story where every girl is giving an equal amount of effort. My main beef is that don't make a harem story if you are gonna at least show us a harem ending. I mean, hell even an Open ending is perfectly fine where everyone is running after MC on some sunny beach and credits roles, then it leaves it to your imagination.
Plot- The story started out really good. I still remember it when it had only 13 chapters and I thought, wow this looks really good that has great rom-com with decent amount of lovable characters, but it went hell after something like 100 chapters. It just got so repetitive and cringy, I guess I have to blame the big hype and popularity that this series got over the years that Author milked the shit out of this. I mean, you can already predict with whom our Dense MC is gonna go out with, within the first 10 chapters, but it far-stretched to 226 chapters, and going through the last arc is like self-torture, SO MUCH PAIN, SO MUCH CRYING, SO MUCH BREAK UPS. It was god-awful, seeing them leaving one by one, but I still hold on to that tiny bit of silver lining, and boy, did I regret so much. I should have dropped it long time ago, now that I am suffering from the aftermath which is gonna remain for weeks.
Characters-The only character that I supported is Marika, why? Because she is the only woman who is straightforward and doesn't wuss out when it comes to confession unlike other females in this story which are your generic stereotype tsundere that drags the arc till the end. As for Raku, holyshit. He is the fucking worst Main Character I have ever seen. He takes denseness to whole new level and the most terrible part that he goes through no growth until the very last arc which felt like Tom and Jerry Chase all around the world. If only he had man the fuck up, things might have gone much better.
Art:- I guess this is the strongest point of the manga, and the main reason for the popularity? Because I believe Author focused more on the moe moe and kawaii shit of the females and polished their personalities through the series instead of the important issues that this story suffers from.
Enjoyment:- The only redemption is that thankfuck everyone moved on at the end because they seriously don't deserve an indecisive guy like Raku. Shuu is much better and has the balls to get the job done. He should have NTR'd him long time ago :D Oh Damn, we are going side-track here. Do yourself a favor and read Nisenisekoi which is much better than this whole train wreck.
1/10

The idea is quite fresh and new which is to gather more wedding rings and the only way for Main character to get stronger is to deepen his bonds with other wives. Hence, I loved it a lot because at least there will be no power-up arsepull out of nowhere BS and the other main reason why I gave it a high score, but it is one of those rare harem manga where harem actually progress through out the story. Unlike most of the harem series these days where nothing happens till the end and leaves you with only frustrations and sometimes the worst
...
thing that happens when a harem series is given a non-harem ending. It is a harem genre for a reasons and if you are not giving us a proper harem, I might as well just read typical romcom drama. Most of the time author never puts any proper relationship development because they think or it might be universal thinking that the story will end right there if the main lead starts going out early into the story, but no that is not the case the story can still go on and become a lot more funnier after that and we can have proper relationship development, but that is not the case here.
Story: 9/10 (When I started reading this, I had bad vibes about this manga. I thought, it would be typical and generic romance BS with Damsel in distress setting and Oh boy, I was wrong. It turned out one of the best romance/harem manga because the main lead actually starts going out after the first few chapters, unlike many of the terrible harem series out there with typical non-harem ending arsepull at the end *I am looking at you nisekoi*. TBH, I never thought that this series would actually have harem element in future because as you progress into the story, you realize the main objective of the plot and that is to gather more wedding rings and that means more wives and that means greater and larger and better harem.)
Characters-10/10 (The main characters are definitely the strong point of the series. The main female Nokanatika actually feels jealous and quite disturb to the fact that his lover has to marry more women in future in order to save the world. So, this tells you that harem is there and not just for shits and giggle and it actually goes through realistic process to convince his first wife as for how to deal with other women. Those who have read Mushoku Tensei will know this feel. The only problem I have is with the main character like there is a point where Nokanatika tells him that she would do him if he wins the battle and MC gets all fired up, but they couldn't do it for some reasons after that, but the next day when they try to do it again. MC kindly refuses that he doesn't want to do it like this. He will only do it after returning to their homeland. What a load of BS? There are a lot of times where author teases us with such scenarios. I mean, MC would have done it to her that day, but he started having second thoughts the next day.)
Artwork-9.5/10 (Art is just brilliant and the fight scenes are actually well drawn, but just like rest of the harem/ecchi series the main focus or more like the main power of effort is always into drawing ecchi scenes with females and it is done quite well ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). If you like me who reads tons of H-doujin, this series will act as a great boner booster for you.)
Enjoyment-9/10 (Aside from the holy and over-hero personality of the MC. Nonetheless, I loved it a lot and it is a harem series and so, it goes without saying that I am gonna give scores based on how well the harem is. To be honest, I tired of watching anime or reading Light novels/manga like DxD, Sekirei, Highschool of the Dead etc where the harem is there, but nothing happens until the end and sometimes nothing happens at all. Authors most of the time shy away when it comes to romance among the harem and gives us clueless dumb MC who doesn't have the balls to do anything when it comes to the real stuff, but acts all pervery and mighty all the time or sometimes barges in when the stuff is about to get real good. Hence, I highly recommend this manga, if you were looking for harem series with ACTUAL HAREM, you search ends here.)

Mega Anti-Recommendation: |Watashi no Megane-kun|
Synopsis: Chouko has been in love with Taichiro for a long time. Taichiro and Chouko have known each other since childhood. At one point, Taichiro became very candid and told Chouko that he hated her so much that he wanted to kill her. Even so, Chouko's desire toward him never really changed. One day, a senior in her athletics club confessed to her. Filled with burning jealousy, Taichiro also confessed to Chouko. Their insecure, but very obsessive love begins.
[rant]
-Phack that Synopsis, it doesn't matter how messed up it sounds. It is actually quite good, I was searching for some Possessive/jealous type
...
romance story and I found the perfect gem, but didn't see the shit covering all over it. Although, I had a feeling from last 10 chapters that it is heading towards the wrong path, but I had no freaking idea that even the author is fucked up, I said to myself, I will just prepare for the worst possibility because the story is actually good, seeing the main couple carving for each other. After quite later into the story, another guy takes a love interest in Chouko. After that, I will just skip the details, but at the second last chapter. That MOFO, cunt little bitch rapes Chouko. Yea, you f'ng heard me right. He literally rapes her and escapes from the country for good and he said to himself "he didn't realize that she would be virgin even though she is in relationship". It actually shows blood coming out of her legs and clothes teared apart. This is just depressing beyond belief, I couldn't sleep whole last night. Author was like "Oh, yea. You are liking my story? Well, let me kick you in the fucking balls". Forget, "My wife is a highschool girl". This is the most fucked up and brutal ending I have ever seen in my whole anime/manga experience. I am taking an Oath, no more shoujo. I feel like, I have been left with huge trauma. I am just tired of these unrealistic love triangle BS that are ruining my taste for romance. I am gonna take a break for few days, until I recover from this nightmare.

--------------------------------Review contains minor spoilers---------------------------------------------------
Synopsis: Hatori Chise is only 16, but she has lost far more than most. With neither family nor hope, it seems all doors are closed to her. But, a chance encounter began to turn the rusted wheels of fate. In her darkest hour, a mysterious magus appears before Chitose, offering a chance she couldn't turn down.
-Ellias Ainsworth, He is an ancient magician with a skull instead of a human head because he is an incomplete being. The Child of Thorns, Chise's master and fiancee, once apprenticed to Master Lindenbaum. A being with both fae and human elements. His origins are a mystery.
...
Despite his appearance, he is gentle and polite with humans, who likes Chise Hatori and also offers her to become his bride too. This is definitely a gem for me, I loved it a lot because of its unique setting. Although, it has many male characters that are after main female because of her rare abilities, but it isn't anything that pisses you off. It is actually quite lighthearted yet dark theme.
Genres:- Fantasy, Shonen, Romance, Supernatural.
Story:10/10 (It is still on-going and so far 23 chapters have been released. I am not certain as for where the story will progress, but I loved every chapter of it till now.)
Characters:9.5/10 (TBH, I didn't even bother reading Synopsis when I first the saw the manga on some site. Just the main character's face with romance tag on it was enough for me to read it.)
Artwork:10/10 (Although, it is shonen but there is something about the artwork that gives you senien vibes.)
Enjoyment:- Over 9000 (I read this in one sitting, it just makes you want to read more and more chapters. It is actually fantasy-romance story with depressing atmosphere. I just hope that it won't ahead towards the wrong path.)

Before, you guys start reading my review. I need to say 2 things!
1. My review contains minor spoilers, I tried my best to keep it low as possible to not to ruin the experience for you.
2. I have added my own personal views and opinions too.
-This manga is so hilarious, yet serious and intense at the same type. It has a prequel, but it isn't necessary at all to read that. Both have no relation, I read this first because I didn't find the description of the prequel that interesting. As for Cupid no Itazura II, I loved it. I finished it in one
...
go without holding my horses. Although, it might give you some NTR vibes, but trust me it doesn't have anything related to NTR or any other annoying elements. Since, I am a guy who hates NTR to the core and it is going haywire these days. The best thing about the series is the climax. A perfect ending I was hoping for from the begin.
Genres:- Comedy, Drama, Romance, Psychological, Seinen, Mature
Story: 9.5/10 (I don't think, I am ever gonna find a story like this. Author has a habit of making new stories with unique settings like this. This is what makes this manga so good.)
Characters: 9/10 (The characters and their nature is what steals your interest. You gonna love their expressions in different situations. The only thing, I find disappointing is that. I didn't get to see the adult version of Rena again.)
Art: 10/10 (It is by the same author of "Kono S wo, Mi yo!". So, I don't think I need to say anything more, but if you didn't read"Kono S wo, Mi yo!". I recommend that too. Both have similar artwork despite being old. Both have clear and fluent art that makes you want to read more and more.)
Enjoyment: 9.5/10 (The Synopsis might seems idiotic at first, but after you have read first few chapters, it will grow up on you. All I have to say about this is that it is a masterpiece. This is my 2nd time reading it. )

Super Duper recommendation:- |AIKI|
Synopsis: Kunitoshi was so strong in his martial arts and he doesn't put it on good use or make the most of it and because of that his father drugged him and removed his strength by dislocating every bone of his body by few millimetres. He has since been approached by both Miu and Kizuki as a means of strengthening either side of their civil war.
-Although, I read this manga back in 2012 but never bothered to recommend it because the ending is like a slap to the face, until now, I realized that it actually has a sequel called "Aiki-S" which
...
began serializing in 2013. Now, I got every reason to recommend this gem. The MC might remind you of Onizuka from GTO except Kunitoshi gets the pussy. He literally fucks a chick at the start of the series and continues his sex spree. This series stands out the most from the rest in this genre because he is OP as fuck, he is not dense or ignores chicks n shit and not to forget most of the harem/ecchi series revolves around sex but that never happens most of the time. Well, that isn't the case here.
Genres:-Action, Ecchi, Martial Arts, Romance, School, Harem, Seinen, Comedy
Plot:-10/10 (The main reason why I didn't recommend it because the ending is a major turn off. MC was in a middle of returning to get back to the original story, but then it ends without any sign for a sequel. I thought, it got axed or something and never looked back again. Aside from that, the story as a whole is absolutely great and hilarious as fuck.)
Characters:-9/10 (You gonna love Kunitoshi. It feels great to see how he breaks his limit one by one in each fights, his favorite quote "You are not alone, If you are in trouble we are there for you. Together we are strong". {There are many types of songs like this just so many. There are plenty of people who can't do anything by themselves. However don't you think they do just to hide their own incompetence? Isn't that just a means to cheer oneself for being poor and hopeless?})
Art:-8/10 (Don't expect much this. The faces are poorly drawn sometimes, it is an old manga from 2005, but rest assured the fight scenes are well executed.)
Enjoyment:- Over 9000 (This series might not be everyone's cup of tea. Some might even hate this because MC hits girls, he doesn't care whether it is he or shit. He sometimes tries rape tactics to lure chicks into fighting him. Nonetheless, I enjoy it more than I expected.)

Synopsis- Morito Hayama is a trainee of the academy and the male protagonist of Gun X Clover. One of the 13 Master Rank Mercenaries in the world, Morito is currently protecting Kotonoha Nanase under a guise of a regular student in the academy. With mercenary skills honed through countless battle and unusual vitality and resiliency, Morita has survived countless wars and attempted assassinations. Due to his wealth of experience, Morita has become the mentor of virtually everyone he has crossed paths with, teaching them the skills and techniques required to survive as a mercenary.
-One of the best harem series
...
I have ever read and it got just better in the latest chapters. The first thing came out as a big shocking surprise is MC is OP as hell. He is the guy who trains every Mercenary Bodyguards, he is a master Rank level beyond that of S Guard.
Genres:- Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Martial Arts, Romance, School, Shounen, Harem, Superpower.
Story: 8.5/10 (The story is not something unique though, you might have read many stories where heroine has 6-7 personalities.)
Art: 10/10 (The art is outstanding. Well, I guess it is obvious because ecchi and action series like this tend to have supreme eye candy art.)
Characters: 9/10 (It is still a new series but the current arc is so far the best story of the series. Everything is coming to light same goes for the MC's past.)
Enjoyment: 9/10 (Both Dragons Rioting and GunXClover has ton of similarity, but this one is less ecchi compare to other and more Dark. So, this has more re-read value for me.)

Plot- Kazuya Kagami never goes anywhere without the “Sakura Obi” . One day, kimono-clad girl named Kiriha appeared before him. Kiriha naturally began to live with Kazuya in his room. Then there’s Chisato, Kazuya’s childhood friend with glasses and a ponytail, who meddles in his affairs.Jumble in a huge-chested priestess, a good-looking sorceress named Kokuyoura, and Kazuya’s happy, embarrassing, confusing life begins!
- From the synopsis, it sounds like your average harem. Well, it is but a really good one with lot of potential! Only 56 chapters has been released so far, it has everything great pervert comedy, superpower action and moreover it's Seinen too. It's
...
definitely not everyone's cup of tea but people who wants to read good harem, this one should be definitely in your list!
Genres:-Action, Comedy, Ecchi, School, Supernatural, Seinen, Harem
Plot- 8/10 ( Typical Harem plot, MC saves the girls and gets stronger with each battle)
Characters- 7.5/10 (Nothing extraordinary, girls with tragic past. MC solves the mystery and the chick is already head over heels for him)
Artwork- 10/10 (This one takes the cake for me, fight scenes are well executed and so are the bodies of the females.)
Enjoyment- 8.5/10 ( It definitely is enjoyable for me, there are some parts of the story which makes it much better and different from the rest in this category)
