Pretty much, Irresponsible Hero meets Irresponsible Captain At first glance these shows don't share alot off thing except that they both play out in a time were aliens exist and that they both are in the Parody category on MAL. Since I saw Gintama before Irresponsible Captain Taylor I pretty much had all my expectations down on paper. So why does these shows clash together? Let's take a look at the Main characters Gintoki (Gintama) is pretty much lazy/Irresponsible to everyone that hasn't got to know him. The same goes for Tylor (Irresponsible Captain Tylor) Both characters have hearts of gold and are honest and goods guys. At first the supporting characters have a hard time spotting the good points of the person but as the shows goes on they get to know the person better. Also both Protagonist creates miracles and have incredibly dumb luck. As for the comedy. Gintama's strength lies in it's "random" comedy and in it's list of character while Tylor is mostly the one thing thatgets your laugh going with his personality and way of thinking. Something I noticed however that makes Tylor excel (in my case) is that the show has a "classic" feeling to it. Since it was made in 1993 it may not come to anyone's surprise but that's how it is. I love both shows since Gintama is ongoing and keeps feeding me fresh comedy and Irreponsible Captain Tylor gave me memories for life and a classic to keep in my collection. I can't take the next step for you since it's all up to you. I only hope you trust my judgement and give these shows a opportunity

Ginban Kaleidoscope feels like an alternative version of Zero no Tsukaima! Both shows share many common aspects. The main characters are really similiar both in personalty and how they're relationship develops. Louise (Zero no Tsukaima) and Tazusa (Ginban Kaleidoscope) are really alike in the way that they lose their temper quite easiely and strive to achive something in their life. The same goes for Saito (Zero no Tsukaima) and Pete (Ginban Kaleidoscope) which also share somethings in common. The first meeting between the characters are also really similiar. They both come from a diffrent place and can therefore teach the other person new things. The only diffence between the two shows is that Zero have sequals but if It didn't it would probably have ended similiar to how Ginban ends but that is only my personal guess.

Gag Manga Biyori doesn't make much sense and neither does Cromartie High School. Both shows seems similiar in the way they are animated. Gag Manga is still a bit more random since there is no exact storyline unlike Cromartie High School. Cromartie High School still has main characters. Gag Manga has a couple of returning characters but mostly is new poeple in every episodes. Both are weird, strange and leaves your mind broken...

Gag Manga Biyori 2 is just like the original show. Doesn't make sense, weird, strange in everyway and impossible to understand. If you liked Cromartie High School then I can guarantee that you find both Gag Manga Biyori 2 and the original really great!
