I've always been a fan of the harem genre, all the way back to Love Hina. Though for me it stands between safe for work and not safe for work. I tend to dislike the ones inbetween, where semi nudity is bigger. This cause I like to focus on either my taste for normal romance or the ecchi side of harem.
For me, what devides the Harem genre and is keen to it's enjoyment or not, is two golden rules with different headtopic whether you are a boy or a girl watching the show.
1) Fall in love with the girls (boys)or
...
like the girls (Girl).
The more girls the audience falls in love with, the better the harem series.
2) Make the watcher fall in love with the boy (girl)
or understand why the guy gets girls to fall in love with him (boy)
So is Motto to Love-ru Darkness, or well the whole series worth watching?
Why certainly yes.
Because of the depth of the cast, the almost perfect voice cast you tend to fall in love with the characters. You appreciate their different types, personalities and want the lead to marry em all. This usually is broken up by the lead having to take the choice of whether to go for the harem ending or choose one. I like both choices, but tend to favor the harem ending, which Love-Ru is definitely going for. Whether Yuuki Rito, the smoothtalker of all harem kings will suceed? We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
The art is definitely gorgeous, and the girls look very beautiful, with some nice animated fight scenes too boot.
A worthwhile watch if you are interested in the harem genre.
Enjoy.

This is a review containing spoilers, and may hold information you don't wanna know if you haven't seen Tengen Toppa Gurrenn Lagann, so read at own risk....
First of all, what a ride! Tengen Toppa Gurrenn Lagan, like a rollercoaster where I never know where I am gonna go.
Story
The story of the rise of the humans, the spiral race, Lugann is a story that is very deep, you're always wondering, is this the last enemy or not? This drives the plot forwards at an immense speed, giving you emotions that skip from amazing to utter sadness. A masterpiece in way of using your feelings against
...
you, by sometimes smashing you into a wall, like the death of a certain big lead. Or maybe your screaming with thrill, at Gigabreaker. Story is a worthy 10.
Art
This show came out in 2007 and still looks absolutely beautiful and intense, has some of the best explosion scenes ever made. The series also sometimes is a little artistic and strays away from it's main artform. Just a beautiful, touching use of diversity among the plot characters and leads, makes this an artwork. Art is a cultured 10.
Sound
Explosions. Explosions. EXPLOSIONS. This beauty of a classic, just keeps pumpng those sweet sounds into your ears, making the series psyche you up more and more, until your shouting out: WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK I AM?
Characters
I will not go deeply in on my special depiction of the characters themselves, since to me that's like cursing in church, we all have our way of picturing Simon, Kamina, Yoko and everyone else. So better that just stay that way.
The characters rise from zero to hero, is to me, what makes this series. The characters have really awesome personalities, that you bond with, as if they were your own friends, and it hurt's to see them go. I feel that's all that's needed to justify a well polished character 10.
Enjoyment.
This is the easiest to answer. Just an utter rollercoaster ride of feelings. It just speeds up and never stops making you go berzerk with screams. 27 episodes, gone before you know it.
Overall.
10/10
This is a series that has elevated my bar of anime. Cause TTGL just made me a believer.

Inazuma Eleven.
An anime about a bunch of kids playing soccer. That's the review.... Nah just kidding :p
Inazuma Eleven is an anime about soccer, about growing up, friendship, tough times and for some reason alot of tragedy, I will get back to this.
Here we meet Endou Mamoru, a total soccer "idiot", who never gives up hope, no matter how far he is beat into the ground, the typical shounen hero, like Goku, Naruto etc. I won't give up!
He is a goalkeeper, so his name is almost kinda ironic, since Mamoru means protect, and well that's what a keeper does, he protects the
...
goal.
-Story
The story is very simple and very average. It focuses on the team's ability to rise to the challenge against an enemy team. That's well mostly it. They get "beaten" by a team either in a game or mentally, then get stronger, win, get a new challenge. That's mostly it. Inazuma Eleven also has a knack for relying in my opinion, a tad too much on tragic background stories.
Every new player or the already current players, all seem to have either parents/grandparents/siblings who died in tragic accidents/sickness (Endou, Fubuki, Goenji) or have a hard time trusting people. This is for me kinda what brings down Inazuma alot.
A tragic background story is a powerful tool in the right hands, but once it gets repetitive, it kinda loses most of it's meaning. It's originally used too make you get emotionally attached to a character, but this is hard when so many of the characters have this sort of background.
Art:
The art is also very mediocre. Inazuma eleven is flooded with re-use of same shots to save money, and I feel this show could have been so much better with more originality. Like a shoot is so cool when they make a new hissatsu, but you get kinda tired of seeing the same shot after some time, due to it looking the same all the time.
The characters though are in my opinion what brings the art a little up. I like the way it's drawn, and it makes the characters look cool and different from each other.
Sound:
I don't really have much to say about the sound, the soundtrack is ok, nothing that caught my attention, but neither something that distracted me from enjoying the show.
Character:
As said earlier in story, I feel the character growth in Inazuma Eleven is a little forced. It's like watching DBZ where Goku always grows, and the "team" is "forced" to always try and keep up with him.
Endou has a knack for always being the one that is relied upon, even though this makes sense, him being the main character and all. He is voiced by Takeuchi Junko san, and I must say this is the best role i've heard her do. Yes, I mean it's better than her as Naruto. Deal with it (trolol)
Though my favorite character probably is Fubuki. Hey, come on, they are playing with a guy with schizophrenia. His tragic background story, was in my opinion the best, and most understandable story in Inazuma Eleven.
The way he kept fighting, feeling that the team themselves didn't want him but his "alter ego" Atsuya, or his brother if you prefer.
So there where some good character growth there, hence a 7.
- Enjoyment
Well, what can I say. I can say a lot of things about Inazuma Eleven that could have been better, could have been done differently and so on. But I can't really describe it, but I really enjoy Inazuma 11.
Seeing that shot go in, breaking the keepers hissatsu after countless shots, and struggles just makes you cheer. And when they stop the opponent after failing again and again, you get psyched.
And I feel that this series could have been an epic videogame, if properly funded. Like if they made Inazuma 11 with PES/Fifa dedication, and not make it sorta kids game.
- Overall
Overall it's mostly a show about having fun. It's average in all ways but the thrill you get from watching the games themselves. I might sound a little negative to the show, but this is for me a recommendation on the basis of you wanting a show just to keep you busy. It's fun and keeps you entertained, but if you are looking for that great anime, look elsewhere.
Thank you for reading my review, any notes are appreciated, both good and bad.

SKET Dance.
Just the title itself say's alot about the anime.
SKET stands for Support, Kindness, Encouragement, Troubleshoot. The second (助団), which instead uses kanji, derives from the verb tasukeru (助ける), meaning to help or save.
So just from the title you can in some sorts understand that this series is about, well.. Helping.
Judged by many as Gintama set in a school life setting, the series have had a tendency of being flooded by "hate war" comments. I agree with the Gintama fans that the series is very similar. But at the same time it really shines on it's own at times.
But if you
...
think about the fact that author Kenta Shinohara worked as the assistant of Hideaki Sorachi (creator of Gintama), it's really not that weird for him to be influenced.
--- Story ---- 8/10
Story wise I have to deduct some points due to it being too heavily influenced by Gintama. So if you can picture a scene where Gintama didn't exist, I would have given it a 10/10.
Basically the story is as simple as 3 people, get to know them, see them interact with other people. Easy huh? But it doesn't have to be more complicated.
What I really enjoyed about Sket Dance, is how the story progresses. You get introduced to many supporting characters, but not so fast that you feel that it affects the relationship with the main cast. And this way you get to know the characters in a perfect pace. Both past, present and "future" gets depicted in a decent way.But as said, even if it's really well made, it's kinda too similar too Gintama to give it a full score.
---Art-- 10/10
Sket Dance is just a really good looking anime. It's very typical shounen art. They have a very tyipcal shounen trait in the fact that they give the main cast something special, like an item, special hair color or something similar to recognize them by. In this case, you have Bossun's hat for example. What I love about the art in SKET Dance, is how they play with different ways of drawing. Take for example one of the characters, called Saotome Roman, who turns everything around her into a manga. This playfulness really got to me, and I loved it so much.
--Sound--- 10/10
I really, really, really, enjoyed the music in SKET Dance. I have a tendency of skipping openings and/or endings, but SKET Dance, really just got me hooked on both how well made the openings were made to fit the music, and how good the music was. The Sketchbook really fits the anime, and I struggle to decide which opening of 2 and 4 I love most. The youtube part in opening 4 was absolutely awesome.
--Character-- 10/10
The maincast is made up off: Yuusuke Fujisaki (Bossun) , Hime Onizuka (Himeko) and Kazuyoshi Usui (Switch). Mostly all of the fun about the series is based on interactions between the main cast themselves, or between the main cast and supporting characters. Like how Bossun and Himeko make the perfect boke and tsukommi pair for example. Or how you have Switch and a girl called Yuuki Reiko have epic arguments about science vs occult.
But what I find most fascinating about the character maincast, is how the protagonist is in terms, the weakest character, which is very uncharacteristic for a shounen anime. He gets picked on alot for having this kinda role, and I love it.
But I can't withold the fact that the main cast, do have kinda, sad backstories, but this is what I enjoyed most of this anime. There is two different types of characters (in some sense). The ones you look up to, and the ones you wanna support, give a hug and so on. The main cast have tendencies of both. Very nice.
The supporting characters are hilarious and extremely well made. Almost all of them are super weird, like overly tsundere girl, a fatty thinkining she is really hot, student council sadist and so on. My favorite supporting character is probably Dante, who only speaks in Visual Kei mode. It's just so funny.
--Enjoyment-- 10/10
This is probably one of the anime's I've enjoyed most in quite sometime. It's not as funny in the start, but just takes off after a little while. My favorite epsiode probably has to be an episode, where the protagonist Bossun, drinks a fluid which mixes up all his facial expressions, or the episode where they play Hyperion. Just watch it ok? Come on. Go go.
--Overall-- 9/10
Overall. It's just great. I really hope it will return like Gintama has done so many times. If you have seen Gintama, give it a chance. If you wanna watch a series that just makes you laugh and laugh, but can also hit that soft spot inside, check out SKET Dance. You won't be dissapointed.

How to write this as spoiler free as possible. If you haven't seen season 1 yet, don't read this, will probably spoil alot of season 1.
What Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Next does, is really just speed up the tempo of the series. It's in depth a harem series, but it's also depicting the more sad part about the harem series genre. The fact how the boy in the series, is eventually burdened with being forced to break up his group of friends, to make a choice. Who do he choose?
Do he choose the totally beatiful Kashiwazaki Sena, who brings his family greater
...
respect, who has been a friend even from a very young age. With her strange interesting hobby's, and her skill of using her powerful family name to break enemies.
Do he choose his best known childhood friend Mikazuki Yozora, who he has had hard time adapting to as a potential love interest, but still give him some moments where he truly see's her beauty.
Do he choose Higuma Rika, the nutty professor, with all her charming quirks and obsession with boy's love. Cause hello, who doesn't think she is perverted in such a way, that you just can't laugh.
Do he choose Kusunoki Yukimura, the boy, girl, something, that just begs for his recognisition. For him to be her, "samurai master" or husband if you prefer.
This is what makes me love ga Sukunai. It's so hard to tell who to choose, and that makes it exciting all the way until the end.
In general not a must watch per se, but if you want a harem anime. Then it's a must watch.
Thanks for reading my short synopsis.

Mouretsu Pirates or Bodacious Pirates, is a really well written, well made story based on pirates.
By taking piratedom to space, and glorifying the quests the pirates undertake, instead of tending to the action, violence depertment more than necessary to make it that extra bit exciting.
It's to me more like the tendencies of the Mass Effect games, and the Star Trek franchise in my eyes, in the way that you use most of your time getting to know the characters inside out. It's an emphasis on building story around the characters, and you get emotionally attached to them.
After seeing One Piece take part
...
of the more superhuman part of the pirate folder, Mouretsu Pirates give the more "accurate" feeling of how it would be to pirate in space.
Recommended.

Gj-Bu or Gj Club depending on how you prefer the name, is a very true to it's nature type of schooltime/harem series.
You have the typical girls of tsundere, lolicon and other typical anime stereotypical characters, that have been used again and again. But somehow Gj-Bu does it in a very refreshing way to the genre.
They haven't really improved the characters beyond their genre, but they made them less, well, re-used. It's kinda like they took all the over used material, polished it hard, and made it revive like a phoenix.
Because I am really enjoying Gj-bu for all it's already used material, because
...
it makes you fall in love with the quirkiness of all the stereotypes all over.
You fall especially hard for Mao-chans overly tsundere way of acting, and her lolicon appearence.
It's not up there in my all time greats, but it's sure is close.
Recommended.

Wow. Just completely blown away.
There are alot of Fairy Tail lovers out there, as well as people who hate it for being kinda a main stream Shounen Anime.
Fairy Tail the series always had/has the knack for being kinda all in your face with the whole Nakama thing, like we are friends because we say we are, and therefore you shall also think this.
But in Fairy Tail Houou no Miku they really mad a good job, they took the basecore of the friendship trough thick and thin to a whole new level. The whole picture of we are friends because we say we
...
are was removed. This movie made me excited when the fights went on, and made me tear up at the later parts. They painted such a lovely scenery of how true friendship can be so lovely and how it helps you keep strong at the tough parts in your life, like death, sorrow and so on. Bravo Fairy Tail, this was truly not main stream. I salute you.
For fairy tail made me participate in how all those feelings are. A Must Watch.
