I actually can't get the right words to come out. This show is just amazing. Also not spoiler free review.


Marin who is a popular girl turns out to have a desire for cosplays, with the lack of people she knows who knew how to sew, she tries to make those cosplays herself, which turned out horribly until she met Gojo, who has a love for making hina dolls, but his lack of social interaction due to the distinct interests he has with other people makes it hard to deal with Marin, who is a popular socially active gyaru, thus the story begins.

When I first heard ... of Sono Bisque Doll, I was like, that sounds bad, but seeing the visual, I was intrigued. The color palette, the character designs are eye catching, thus one thing led to another. I watched the trailer, I see the story is unique and interesting, so I read the manga, and I'm hooked with it.

Cloverworks did amazing with the animation. Those subtle movements from Marin are so damn cute! It makes it look like I'm watching a live action, when it's just amazingly animated.

Last thing, the VA's! How Gojo sounds when he's intrigued and embarrased are so good, and how Marin's has a lively voice. Both VA's really portray the character.
Sono Bisque Doll, in conclusion, is amazingly good, I have high expectations for the upcoming episodes, hope they won't disappoint.

I am not a huge fan of mangas but Sono Bisque Doll literally got me hooked.

I watched the first episode of its anime adaptation and it got me curious for the story, and here I am, waiting for the next volume and chapter.

At first glance, it is eye catching, the character design, the color palette of its covers, you'd think its just a show off, but it isn't after all. The story moves along a slow pace yet very immersive and enjoyable to the fact I lost my sense of time reading it overnight. There isn't really anything to make you hate it, unless you're ... not a fan of very mild ecchi scenes >_>

I really can't say much more about it, the rest lies when you actually immerse yourself and read it, and if I continue writing I can't guarantee a spoiler.

I'm honestly impressed with this and am looking forward to how the story goes.

As of this review, Vivy has only aired 8 episodes.

I am not a critique, I have never reviewed something before, but Vivy is a masterpiece worth reviewing.

Story - 10
You could never guess what happens next. The story, the plot, the twists, everything are so good.

Art - 10
The artists sure did a good job with making this show lively, not just in story, but also in the appearance or the appeal of the show.

... Sound - 10
Sound effects are VERY VERY GOOD, basically on par with TenSura's SFX, too unique and convincing. Especially the music, matching the theme of the story.

Character - 9
The characters of the story are good, the character development of Vivy towards Matsumoto, but I feel like it lacks something but I can't tell what it is.

Enjoyment - 10
Animations are magnificent, the OST of the show. This gave me goosebumps I had never felt before. Too good.

Overall - 10
I'd recommend this to everyone, too bad I lack friends to recommend it to, but this show is a masterpiece.
