66 chapters when I read it, and I read through it all in about 2 hours. As someone who loves blood, this was the most perfect manga I could find.
Story - 6/10
At first the story is actually quite interesting, as it looks to be some sort of revenge story about the girl who got bullied mercilessly just because she was pretty and had her own individual personality. Unfortunately though, I will say that by the later chapters the story dropped down a lot, and the plot got quite confusing. It has a "villain of the chapter" type vibe, but if that gives an

excuse for more of the incredible bloody art, I'm fine with it. At one point, the story got really too chaotic with too much focus in too many places, and that's where I'd say it falls apart the most.
Art - 10/10
Art. Is. Fantastic. If you read the first chapter, this will need no extra explanation. Every single death scene is detailed so well and the artist does such a good job in drawing in a different death method almost every time.
Characters - 6/10
Like with the story, characters start off well. But mostly just Naoko and Kazuya. Every other character is your standard horror character, the ones who see a guaranteed death and run straight for it. There were a few twists when it came to characters though, and that was pretty entertaining to read. However, after a while it gets boring to read the same stuff about this one character who pulls a Michael Myers and has "ascended to a level to where they cannot be killed" type bullshit, and even as you're rooting for them, since they do seem to be the main "protagonist" (if you can call it that), you start to get sick of them constantly coming back to life.
Enjoyment - 10/10
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this manga. The chapters were short and mostly just that glorious bloody and gory action, and the translation was hilarious, had me constantly laughing and screenshotting panels to send to my friends. There's so many times that the author puts something so incredibly stupid in there, and you can't help but say: "I can't believe he actually put that in there!" and then you're laughing about it for the next minute. The art is obviously top tier, and it's nice to just be able to scroll and look at every gory death scene in 100% beautifully drawn detail.
Overall - 9/10
All in all, if you're looking for some quick manga with good art and amazing death scenes, this is definitely the one. However, if you're extremely hung up on characters and story, this one might bore you. However, the comedic translation and the mangaka's amazing sense of political humor is just incredible, and will either have you on the floor laughing or shaking your head in disappointment. Pumpkin Night is a 50/50 hit-or-miss, and I think that it's only for certain people, mostly those who don't care about a shallow story or borderline retarded characters. 9/10. Can't wait for chapter 67 of Pumpkin Night.
