In both stories, you have some kind of magical spirits/deities/goddesses hanging around the main protagonist. Both stories give off harem like vibes or cliches with the thought that there will be a love triangle. When in the end it ends up showing up as solely being a romance series with humorous supernatural shenanigans. Mamotte Shugogetten! does not follow as clear on its story I guess unless you plan to read the 11 volume manga series instead of watching the anime adaptation. Ah! My Goddess! is better in comparison to Mamotte Shugogetten!. So take Mamotte Shugogetten! as the bargain bin version of Ah! My Goddess! Mamotte Shugogetten! is a series that is underrated or obscure for good reasons. I will say that despite the great dislike people have for the Mamotte Shugogetten! anime I still have a fondness towards it because I know it's not the best series out there but it tries to still have fun with itself. Its fondness can be just as strong as one's fondness towards Ah! My Goddess!

Both involves a main character that uses a person to transform and gain a power. Himeno can transform with multiple guys who are magical knights. Whereas, the characters in Luck & Logic transform with one partner and the transforming partners are goddesses. Himeno falls for one of the knights and the main lead in Luck & Logic has a partner with feelings for him. The characters in both of these shows have to fight off bad forces that show up.

One show features fighter maid robots and random military stuff and the other features elves and the show's own form of random military stuff. The zany nature of these shows feels very similar. And the plot is confusing and zany for both shows too.

They are both trying to play into the nostalgia factors of the viewers. Even though they don't do well by any means at doing so. They are both huge messes you should avoid unless you're curious.

Well both have some yuri undertones to them that might become more apparent later in the story. They also have some drama in them between the main characters and their student counsels. Though I will say this Maria-sama ga Miteru is more slice of life whereas Revolutionary Girl Utena is more supernatural fantasy with some action and sword fighting.

They are both very comedic stories...where the main characters have to deal with many silly shenanigans. Dealing with people who may or may not have some grudge against them....ensuing into a very comedic situation. And also at the beginning of the stories they show up with their own father at a "friend's" house after a bit of traveling and training...and begin living there. The main characters Yaiba and Ranma are both a bit immature at times, but I'm sure as you keep reading they'll start to grow on you.
