Ah, Dandadan. How mixed are the feelings I have for you that the more I think about it the more the rating drops.
So, the character designs are great. I love the art for the series. And when the story gets good it gets GOOD (looking at you, Acrobatic Silky). But for the most part a lot of the series is really a miss. It spends far too much time on banana jokes and treating SA like a humorous plot device. The premise sounded cute on the surface, but A Condition Called Love is utterly forgettable in the face of dozens of other stories. Also, Hananoi needs therapy, not a girlfriend.
I went into this knowing that he was a problematic lead male who pushes himself at the girl, and kind of hoped that the story would take the time to have him grow past this. It doesn't. The only change is Hinase growing to love him. That's not healthy. Relationships work when people grow and change together, not when one does all the adapting while the other just stagnates. This is hours of my life that I'm not getting back. I know its my fault (I have to finish a show once I start unless its too many miles long to manage.) The Kingdoms of Ruin is by far one of the WORST anime I have ever seen.
To begin with, aside from one person in the entire story, EVERYONE is trash. Main guy: genocidal angst monster who wants vengeance because shitty people did shitty things.
