Ok so now that you had time to go through the usual hate comments that are not even about the episode I am here to give an actual short review of what you will see.

First of all the only downside of this episode is that it doesnt really have an ending so all I can say is about tis aspect is ONLY WATCH IT WHEN PART 2 IS OUT TOO!

For the story I must say it isn't bad but not amazing either, at least for now. It does give you a nostalgic feeling so that is a plus even if it is not the merit ... of this exact episode but more so of the series.

Now what most people care about, animation:
All I can say is that it looks great, no matter what people might say on social media. Social media slander is just the way to feel important so don't let that fool you cause I did not see a single ugly scene.
The hate that comes to this for the animation is from the same people that would love seeing this if it was an in game cutscene so maybe keep that in mind. It looks great but you might not be used to this from an anime.

Overall a good episode and a huge step forward in visuals from the last seasons of the original series. (except the last movie of the series, that maybe looked better)
A good throwback and a catchy enough plot, even if maybe clunky at times.

As fotr the score, maybe an 8 might be a stretch for the plot but the visuals do help it. That and someone has to actually ballance out the unreasonable hate that comes to this series.
Remember, obody thinks you are cool just cause act like you hated something so just go into in with an open mind and enjoy. (again, after ep 2 comes out would be for the better)

After watching those 3 episodes I can now say it for sure.

This is a great anime that that only has one downside...the fate fandom.

I don't really view it as a perfect 10 but I just had to give that rating to do my best and even out what was ruined but what seems to be a bunch of ungrateful fans that for some reason are not able to accept when something different is good.

The story was good until the very end and Shaft did an amazing job in bringing their stile to fate.

I can only confirm what I said in my other review on the ... first 10 episodes but this is a great anime that you should only watch if you are not what would be called a "normie"...and by that I mean the kind of person that wants more of exactly the same fate as the well known ones. Because it looks like most people here just can't understand what they've actually watched.

It has been some time since an anime moved me that much and the fact that all you can find on mal are haters complaining about whatever they can come up with just makes it seem unfair.

Even if this seems more like a complain about the fandom at this point I just wanted to make this review as a way for people who read it to understand that most of what you will find on mal about this anime is actually just people being salty for whatever reason and not real reviews so if you don't consider yourself one of those people just give it a watch cause it actually is good.

So I an not the kind of person that writes reviews but I just have to do my best to correct the mistake that is happening here.
The rating that I see on this anime is simply wrong and I don't want it to make people avoid this anime like I did.
All I see about this anime is great. The story and plot twists are actually some of the best fate has to offer and the characters are not half bad.
Shaft did an amazing job as they usually do but I think that this is the reason why people are salty with this anime.

It really ... is different from what one would call normal for fate. But at the same time it is better in so many ways and that is why something like fate zero having such a high rating and this having such a low rating is misleading and just objectively wrong.

The reason for this would be that average watchers can't accept when something is different from what they are used to even when it is better so if you are one of those maybe you won't enjoy the anime.
But if you actually are open minded then this is a great story that you should enjoy.
