Ah the good ol best friend trope but actually done right this time!
Brief Summary:
So, Something About Us is all about Han Woojin and Do Ga-young, two university students who’ve been best friends since high school. They’re that duo everyone teases for “acting like a couple,” even though they swear they’re just friends (lol, sure). But as life throws its curveballs, they begin to wonder: “Are we really just friends, or is this something more...?” It’s your classic friends to lovers story, but trust me, it’s done so well.
Characters (10/10):
Woojin and Ga-young?. Their banter is hilarious, their chemistry is through the roof, and their growth throughout
...
the story is MASSIVE. They’re not just cardboard cutouts of “perfect couple” tropes, they have genuine flaws, insecurities, and awkward moments that make you go “Yep, been there.” And the side characters? Brilliantly written. Ji-eun and Jihoon bring their own little drama to the table, but instead of derailing the story, they add to it. Seriously, you’ll either wanna hug them or scream at them (sometimes both).
Art (9/10):
Tbh, the art is pretty typical of a manhwa. It’s not flashy or super detailed like many action manhwa, but that’s not the point. Lee Yunji nails the vibes with simplistic designs and bright colors that just match the story. The way emotions are captured in a single expression? Gold.
Storytelling and Themes (10/10):
This story is like comfort food—it hits all the right spots but also surprises you with how deep it gets. The way it explores love, friendship, and that terrifying “what are we?” phase is so relatable it almost hurts. It’s slow-burn perfection, but not the frustrating kind. Every moment feels earned, and every plot point has its own little purpose that drives the story.
Nitpicks:
If I had to complain (and I mean had to), I’d say the pacing slows down a bit in the middle when the side plots take over. But honestly? Those parts still add to the story’s depth, so I can’t even be mad. And can we please give some side characters more screentime? Justice for Jihoon!
TLDR; If you’re into wholesome, fluffy romance with characters you’ll root for like they’re your own friends, Something About Us is IT. It’s funny, emotional, and relatable as hell.

After too many years away, I'm finally getting back into Maple Story but this time is in the form of a comic. This manga is basically the baby to old-school MapleStory. You know, all the classic monsters, the familiar maps: its like taking a peek inside a time machine. The art style is vibrant, and it really captures that nostalgic feel. The story is still unfolding, but it's already got that classic MapleStory charm – a bit of mystery, a bit of action, and a whole lot of adventure.
If you're a Mapler, you owe it to yourself to check this out. If nothing else, It
...
will for sure be a fun trip down memory lane. If you aren't then this manga might not be for you, although there is no harm in still checking it out.

aight, so I've only read the first 6 chapters but I already want more. It's got this really cool steampunk vibe going on with a bunch of machinery and gears all over the place. Our protagonist, Kanata, seems like a decent enough dude, though he has some serious baggage and it seems there is more to him than what meets the eye?
The "Meteorian" beasts are creepy as hell, and Im curious to know what the author will decide to do with them. The art is slick, nothing crazy but it gets the job done especially the depictions of the monsters, and the action
...
scenes are pretty intense with people getting offed left and right.
Honestly, it's got that "I don't know what's going on, but I'm totally on board" kinda feeling right now. Hopefully, it doesn't disappoint as it goes on.
Rating: 7/10 (for now!)
Disclaimer: This is based on limited reading, so things could totally go off the rails later. But for now, it seems alright

holy shit what a find this.
The story follows a reincarnated warrior on a path of revenge and redemption, and it's surprisingly deep for a martial arts series.
The action is off the charts, and the artwork is super dynamic and engaging.
What really sets it apart is the humor. It's unexpected and genuinely funny, often placed within the heat of an intense battle which creates a nice balance that keeps things fresh.
The world-building is also top-notch. You get a real sense of the martial arts culture and the political intrigue brewing beneath the surface. Every chapter, even the quieter ones, feels like it's building towards something
...
bigger, and you can't help but become invested. .
I'm giving it a 8/10 now, but honestly, it has the potential to be a 9/10 if it keeps this level of quality up. It's pretty much a must-read for any fan of action manhwa.

The manga starts off really strong with a promising premise and a creepy atmosphere that immediately hooks you in. The artwork is solid, and the initial mystery is intriguing. But, it kinda drops the ball as the story progresses and some of the twists become predictable, with the pacing feeling a bit weird at times. While the main character, Mumyeong Heo is interesting, some of the supporting characters could definitely use some more development. Since it is still only 20 odd chapters in, there is still plenty of time for us to see some development.(hopefully)
That being said, The Gwichon Village Mystery is still an
...
enjoyable read for anyone who is a fan of the thriller genre. It's a quick and engaging story that will for sure keep you entertained, even if it doesn't completely blow you away.

This manga follows the journey of a former world renowned chef who is transported to a fantasy world, where he discovers the art of camping and living off the land as a means of healing and finding peace. Along the way, he builds relationships with locals and creates a kind of relaxed lifestyle for himself.
The story focuses mainly on simple pleasures like gathering resources, cooking meals, and setting up camp etc sort of like an rpg just minus the scary monsters bit. The art is definitely charming and matches the gentle, and more peaceful tone of the story but isn't anything crazy.

Sakamoto Days! An absolute masterpiece on how to do the Shonen genre correctly, especially in todays market. With the recent departure of Jujutsu Kaisen, I really believe it to contain all the qualities needed to take over the mantle and become the new Big Shonen manga and not tryna jinx it but anime aswell.
Brief Summary:
So Sakamoto Days follows Sakamoto, a former hitman who retired from the field to pursue a normal life with the woman of his dreams and his daughter. However, a few years into his retirement, he is pulled back into the game after a former associate of his, Shin comes to visit
...
him at his store. Now, Sakamato must fight to keep his family safe from the consequences of his previous life while also trying to figure out who is after him?
Characters (10/10)
Rarely have I ever seen a show with such an amazing presence of side characters. From Nagamo to Hard Boiled to Takamura, every single character in the series serve to progress the plot, they each have an amazing depth of rational behind their characters, their goals, wisdoms and personalities are incredibly diverse while still remaining interesting and relatable to your average reader.NAGAMO DA GOAT. And the main characters, notably Shin and Sakamoto are both incredibly well designed and fleshed out as the story progresses. Thankfully, they arent like other, unfortunately boring shonen mcs who's only personality is that they want to achieve their goal. It makes the characters so one dimensional and Im glad that Shin and Sakamoto both have genuine personalities and quirks that allow you to actually connect with them.
Art (10/10)
What can i even say here. The fight scenes and the choreography is just beyond amazing. All of the actions, the hand to hand combat, the weapons: they flow well together and really give you a great perspective on the scene unfolding. Yuto Suzuki does an amazing job in every chapter of caring for even the smallest of details, the blood on the clothes, the people in the backdrop and even the way they portray the changes in the environment while fighting rages on is just extremely well done. OH and dont even get me started on the clothing choices cuz the drips are so unbelieving immaculate especially my girl Lu, you might just have to copy a few outfits from this manga, they are criminally good.
Nitpicks:
Now now, this is still a review and as much as I want to glaze this manga, it still has a few things that I didnt enjoy as much. During the initial stages of the manga, It felt like Suzuki didnt fully know the direction they were going to take with some of the characters like The Order for example. To avoid spoiling much, their initial appearances were quite different from how they were shown later but I can definitely understand if there were changes made to the story. ALSO why is Lu not getting more screentime :(, shes basically just disappeared from the manga despite being such a cool character and Ik alot of people have the same criticism.
If you’ve read all of this, then I appreciate it <3

After a bunch of people recommended me to read this manga, I finally caved and gave it a go. Now, Although I did enjoy parts of the manga, it definitely isnt for everyone. Credit where credit is due, the characters are a breath of fresh air in a genre that is generally filled with the exact same MCs; you know, dark hair, cold, no personality?. Well, Yanagi isnt like that at all. He has a fun, quirky personality and a genuine relationship with the Female Lead. They bicker, joke around and interact with each other like best friends would which makes their relationship feel real
...
and gives a whole new layer of their lives to be explored in the manga. Its also so good to see that the manga doesnt just end abruptly when they get together *cough* Masamune Kun *cough*, and we actually get to see them interact and traverse their new relationship. However, the storyline leading up to that point was quite dragged out. It felt like new chapters were being released just for the sake of it, with no actual progress being made and no meaningful impacts being had on the story. For so many chapters, readers were left waiting for them to actually make any sort of progress in their relationship but It felt as though new problems were being created just to delay it for no reason. It made the later parts of the story extremely redundant and boring to read. Overall, I really liked what the author's intentions with the story and characters, and with better pacing, it could have ended up as a real gem.
